Guest
Hi,I am considering purchasing NOR. The frustrating thing is, I use to have a copy of the manual but lost it when my computer died a few months ago (Hard Drive). To be honest, I never really played NOR and just glanced over it. But after playing on and off the last year, I wish I had studied it and worked it into my game.Anyhoo,Can Ellis, Keith or someone else tell me what is the difference between NOR, NOR +, and 4D NOR?I read somewhere on these forums that 4d NOR is still under development. Is this correct? Is 4d NOR that spreadsheet/program Ellis has showing in his 47 min long video? Also, why does NOR suggest a 1,2,3 negative progression. Wouldn't a 1,2, 4 negative progression work better since you win the third bet 50% of the time, yet with a 4 bet you make a profit, while a 3 bet you are probably down a bit if betting on banker due to commission or even with player. Thanks for any help and assistance.Hamster
Baccarat Hall of Fame Member Action Mike Posted April 11, 2014 Baccarat Hall of Fame Member Report Share Posted April 11, 2014 The 3 bet is a bailout, not a profit step. Your winnings should come from your 1 bets and your 2 bets. The goal is to survive to get back to the 1s and 2s again. Going 1-2-4 puts 7 units at risk if you lose the 3 bet. That's a lot of ground to cover from winning 1s and 2s again. I used to play that way. It hurts more than it helps. Quote Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Figure out a way to win at baccarat that fits your lifestyle, you don't have to eat fish anymore! SteveO
Please note that I am a newbie so if I'm telling you a story here, someone should jump in and correct me.And regarding the rest of your questions:NOR and NOR+ are designed to be played against biased shoes. The particular bias that exists is usually determined by your review and interpretation of past shoes.4D is still in development but its focus is to win 5+ units in any shoe where it is played. Again, some observation and interpretation is necessary.I would recommend you take $600 and sign up instead of blowing it at the casino with your progression. You will hit that one game that bites you in the ass sooner or later.
