Reward for the first MDB Millionaire. Just an Idea

Recommended Posts

Hi gman,

I have almost completely forgotten the length rules for zz runs playing the MDB systems.

I had hoped they would be written in the NEW mdb rules thread.

Are you letting the zz runs run to the end or are you following rules similar to the ST runs ?

If you could point me to where the zz rules are written , I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Wendel

I think it is in the rules thread, but I'll try to explain as best as I can, and Ellis can correct if I make a mistake.

For S1 and S4+ you are on all ZZ runs with the primary progression.

If you are in S23 when your primary progression loses for the first time to a ZZ run, you bet your secondary progression OTR (ZZ), if it wins stay OTR (ZZ) until it loses. If you are still in S23 and your primary progression losses to a ZZ run again, you bet your secondary progression 1 bet OTR if the 0 bet lost to the ZZ or you bet your secondary progression 1 bet ATR if the 0 bet won.

It is exactly the same rules for the ST runs with all three systems, you just add tracking ZZ runs when using the S23 system. You stay OTR with ZZ's just like with ST staying on as long as the longest last run, unless 7's are coming up frequent in the shoes you are seeing and then you may want to stay on all runs until a loss. Same rules as ST runs.

I hope this helps. This is how I follow the current MDB rules. ( I hope I got it right.)

This is the part I was not sure about, and the rest was the same as my understanding of it.

Nobody could have said it better.

Thank you.

One other note. I met with my Host at Hard Rock in Vegas on Tuesday morning. Although I played every day, he told me I had less than 3 hours of table time in 4 days, and I was up over $5000, which was after my morning bad shoe. I was playing $200 units the entire time. He wasn't particularly happy that had agreed in advance to comp a $1000 a night suite for 4 nights to get me to play there instead of playing in the MGM family.

There's something everybody would love to hear. Somebody complaining to you that you're making too much money and not playing enough.

Deal with it!!

Nice job.

As I had only 1 losing shoe, I was having better than a 90% win rate. The second loss was on the same shoe, I should have demanded a shuffle but it was their only table at 11AM on a Tuesday. I have however found that initial drawdowns seem more common to me beginning at play 2 and I don't think SAP count isn't going to be reliable below 5 plays. Even though each shoe made it to +5, I would have avoided drawdowns in most shoes if I had waited.

Just reviewing my scorecards again and noticing where I made some bad plays. Although less than ideal, wouldn't S23 hold up well in most shoes with high 1s and high 3s. Any time there are high 3s that means there was at least a 2 before there was a 3 and in that case we would win on the the 2 of that 3iar and possibly the 1 as well. We would lose on the 3 but we would still be holding our own unless we are stuck with repeated or 113 or 311 combos.

Hey Mike, yes S23 might do well with high 1 and 3. S23 (OTBL) wins 2 units on both 2iar and 3iar events, and breaks even on single 1s. However, if the high 1s are coming in ZZ instead of single 1s, S23 will not do so well.

Correct, S23 likes single 1's, all 2s, and all 3s. It does not like multiple 1's.

TBL (Time Before Last) likes multiple 1's and 3+s. It especially likes long runs either straight or ZZ but hates 2s. However our 0 bet cancels out the 2s.

So, TBL might be our best bet for high 1's and 3s. Almost the same as S4 (BaS40M1).

An excellent point Mike. We'll have to keep our eye on that.

I've played nearly 50 shoes in June. Overall I am seeing above 70% winning shoes when replayed by MDB rules, which is fine by me. Furthermore, several of the shoes were above +5 which increases the average assuming a -5 stop loss. The most common problem is shoes high in 1s and 3s which is why we aren't seeing 90% win rate. On the other hand, if we are winning 70% of shoes, it is feasible to gain 20+ units per day playing partial shoes with less than 3 hours per day spent in casino.

Looking at this data, maybe replacing S4 with TB4L would be a good idea, and all 3 systems would use a 120123 progression. That might simplify things a bit for teaching.

I think TB4L is the same as S40M1. Is that correct, or am I missing something? S4 changes S40M1 by adding the secondary progression after a 2iar and plays the runs based on the previous run.
