  1. Xdotnet I find the Evanspatch reference so hilarious! I am native of Indianapolis and now living in Vegas for 4 years. Except for Indy the whole state could be called that! The West Baden hotel you speak of is amazing though! Interesting enough back in the 1970's the hotel was not in operation for a time, and there was a culinary school housed there. Some of the hotel rooms served as dorm rooms. i had a friend that attended the school and spent several weekends there. Not nearly as exciting as campus of IU where I was attending at time. I never would have thot that Indiana casinos would be mentioned on this forum! Happy New Year!!
  2. Thanks for contributing Mr. Oz!! I worked through your play by play and found it helpful in confirming my strengths and weaknesses. I have trouble with SS, but I really shouldn't. I have it all printed out and I am sure I will keep it for reference when I feel lost. I played a shoe today that had a SS bias to start shoe, then just repeats, then OTB4l, and last but not least opposites. I didnt make enuf on the SS, just dont trust it. But I will heed you and your mentors instruction as to the strength of SS. I enjoy your humor and always look forward to your posts. Thanks again
  3. Awesome when Bobby Knight can be quoted. Oh I missthe good old days when Bobby ruled IU! Not relevant , but I needed to say it. Definitely awesome thread!
  4. Oz, thank you for taking the time to express your opinion and expertise. You have given me many concepts to ponder. You have given me more food for thought and good advice than any other individual on this forum (in terms of my personal struggles with the game), in the 3 months I have been a member of this forum. I joined the forum to take risk out of my play (used to use NP's) by making bet selection my focus. I have learned to understand and recognize the different biases, and my challenge is to learn to "read and adapt" to what the shoe is producing. Your stories and explanations of flatbetting have given me a confidence that I am able to survive a down streak without losing many units. I feel like I put in a great deal of time in attempting to improve my play, but as you said in your post I need to belly up to the bar and play more shoes. I need to run the marathon and not the sprints. I used to think that sprinting to a win was the way to go (using NPs and even using my old friend marty) so as not to hit a bad streak and bust. Thank you again for your posts!
