Keith said he'd have the downloads up again shortly. Meanwhile System 40 is: bet 1's will stay 1, 2s will stay 2 and 3's? will go to 4. The option is when 3s are higher than normal you bet that 3's stay 3 and 4s go to 5. Per these rules Sys 40 likes CHOP. But you can change to streak by betting 1s stay 1 and 2s go to 3. System 40, depending on which option you pick is virtually the exact opposite of RD1.

You can also net bet system 40 by playing it in red while playing the exact opposite in black. You'll see that the black prog is virtually RD1. You might choose this option when System 40 and RD1 are running neck and neck (low disparity)

Standard betting is a 1,2 prog. You go OTR (on the run) with a 1 bet but if it loses, go back to opposites but next OTR bet go 2 and if that loses next OTR bet go 3 and so on.

The right option of System 40 will beat virtually any shoe. We call it Sys 40 because Ann and I won 40 shoes in a row with it at 5 different casinos. That is probably a world record.

The whole trick of it is to run your SAP chart and go on the run after the LC, (least common) between 3's and 4s. Some shoes are so choppy that you might want to skip going on the run altogether.

You'll find this advice more useful and up to date than that old manual.

I'm writing a new RD1, Sys 40 Tricks of the Trade: thread that will be better than the old manual.

Ellis -

regarding this - "You go OTR (on the run) with a 1 bet but if it loses, go back to opposites" - if you win the OTR do you continue with OTR, or do you go back to opposites regardless of whether the OTR wins or loses? thanks

Hi Probac

According to the system 40 rules that I got from the down load section you would go back to opposites win or lose.

Check it to see if I am correct.

Hi Hans. 3s normally average 1 every 16 plays or about 4.5 per 8 deck shoe and have no idea of what country they are in. When 3s are averaging less than that, fine, leave 3s the culprit. BUT if 3s are averaging more than that (we say the shoe is spitting 3s and you can get as many as 9) 4s would be your next choice as long as THEY are running low. The idea is to make the culprit whatever is occuring the least common relative to its normal occurence - including 2s. Therefore it is a good idea to maintain SAP charting when playing Sys 40 the best way..
