The casino is too crowded. Morning, day and night. Most people have their one week off work. I watched many games, mornings, afternoons. Could not find a table with first or third base empty. And if I did, there was already 5 or 6 players in that game. Not even worth my time or money. I will return back there again neext week or the week after in the early morning week day.

Well, readers will probably wonder why Carlos even bothered to post about a non-trip.

But you are missing an important point - perhaps the most important point in BJ. YOU have the option of not playing. The dealer doesn't. Amateurs always play anyway and most amateurs have no idea of the difference between good and bad conditions.

The more crowded a casino is the worse the conditions are for BJ. Carlos is a professional! He knows that if he never plays bad conditions he will virtually always win when he DOES play.

Why are crowdwd conditions bad? Simple: The greater the crowding, the more players per table. The more the cards get played the faster they clump. Clumping destroys Basic Strategy. Even the best players have no chance in crowded conditions. The pro knows this. The amateur doesn't.

"But I came to play!" The mark of a real amateur. This goes right in hand with other amateur statements like: "I'll be right there Honey as soon as I lose these chips." That is a loss looking for a place to happen.

To be a pro, your first step is to think like a pro. The LAST thing you want to do is keep thinking like an amateur. Amateurs lose!

A couple of years a go I went down to Foxwoods on a Monday early afternoon, took the 1 1/2 hour drive leisurely enjoying the the beginning of spring. April in Ct. is actually a pretty nice place to be and I thought taking a weekday off would give me a virtually empty casino. In fact I started to wonder if there would be enough tables open to have a choice of games. Well I arrived and could not park in the normal close parking lot, it was full! With a very quizzical look on my face I asked an attendant where was the nearest parking. The gentleman gave directions (right there was a huge clue) to an off site parking lot with shuttle service. I still was under the impression they were rebuilding there main lot and had it closed. I parked and took the shuttle bus to the casino where I found every single person that lives in Massachusetts in the building! WOW what a crowd!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked a slot attendant what was going on and she said it was Patriot's day and they had over two hundred buses from Mass. I went over to a little coffee shop, had a coffee and muffin, looked around and then took the shuttle back to my car and enjoyed the ride home. I got home and my wife asked why I was back so soon. I explained to her about Patriots day, the crowds and she asked if I played at all, I said nope, not a dime! I had a great deal of self satisfaction knowing I did not play the casino's game that day! Great feeling! Good Job Carlos!!!!!!!

Yes. Instead of playing, I went shoping for some winter clothing I needed at an outlet store. Everything I bought was 50% off. I went to a nice lounge in the evening and met some great people. I had a blast. I will be going back to fallsview casino in 2 weeks.
