The casino in my town (the only one in the state) has changed pretty much all blackjack games to 'Blackjack Plus'

The rules from what I understand are 'all wagers on a dealer 22 are a standoff' - it says that on the felt game board

To counter the extra house edge they have gained (I understand about 6.5%) they have given the players a 3 / 2 payout if they get a 5 card total of 22

I'm sure the odds of this dont outweigh the extra house edge they have gained but I'm no mathmatician.

Apart from that I know that for sometime they have used a 6 deck game with Continuous Shuffle Machines.

I have observed for many years how hard it was to get a good win rate at blackjack here and always wondered why a game that in theory should be close to 50 / 50 is far under that and more often than not down near 20% if you use BS and a MM or similar.

I'm gonna join up for the Zero Prox and NBJ special in next few weeks - I do have a few questions:

Would anyone ever consider playing under Blackjack Plus rules?

6 deck CSM games can ever be beaten or ever have advantageous moments where you can hold your own or better?

Is the rules in Australia where the dealer gets dealt 1 up card first better or worse than the USA where they deal 2 cards and turn 1 up?

Thanks

sound like pontoon but worst edge the dealer always burst around 22 to 23 so if they stand off for 22 is so wrong even wining in short term are almost impossible they are just going to make bj player leave their casino forever

Dark, you are right. Casinos are organized. Unfortunately the Players are not. We need to boycot such ridiculous games.

Casinos need to get back to true BJ. It used to be their #1 profit maker before the casinos ruined the game.

It would be again if the casinos had the courage to deal true straight up BJ.

Greed! The casinos are victims of their own greed. They deserve what they get.

Dark, when the hell are you going to become a private member???

You are too smart a guy to be prowling around on the edges picking up a tidbit here and there.

Most smart guys like you end up winning back their tuition their first time out.

I like to teach guys like you. You get stuff quickly. And smart guys are always very supportive.

I can't believe a smart guy like you has no money????

Maybe you are in the wrong job???

Hey Dark, I see you are quite proficient on the internet.

We pay hefty commissions to members who bring in new members. I mean HEFTY.

Think about it. I'd think you'd be pretty good at that.

And that goes for any of you entrepreneurs out there.

I suck at that and could use your help!

Let me give you an idea.

I paid out over $100,000/year each to SEVEN industrious individulals who set up their own businesses selling NBJ in BJ seminars advertised in local newspapers. One guy, Jerry Patterson, now retired, made over $5 million dollars just selling NBJ at $445 a copy. That was his cut - 5 million freaking dollars. Jerry was an entrepreneur. Where are today's Jerrys???

What the hell is wrong with THIS generation? Where are your entrepreneurs ? You're going down in history as the LOST generation? All I see you guys doing is playing on your freaking cell phones and walking into telephone poles.

My guys did it the hard way. Today you have the world wide internet at your disposal.

So OK, I'm precomputer age. I don't know shit about the internet. I'm not of your world. But you guys ARE. You live in that world.

So what are you going to do with your knowledge - play freaking telephone games?

Some of you guys have modern talent worth millions. But where the hell are you??? Talk to me!

Hi again Brad. No pro is going to play your BJ plus game. Those are kiddy tables for clueless party players.

Your Australian rules are the same as "European" rules.

NBJ is good for both US and European rules but you need to know how to adjust to the different rule sets.

In fact, European rules are slightly advantageous for the NBJ First Base system.

We had an NBJ player win a big BJ tournament in Germany playing NBJ First Base against European rules.

Mr. Davis,

One of the best "mini-rants" I have read in a while. I make one like this at least once a week. Problem is, people think I am the problem. Hahaha!! A new generation that can't do math in their heads. My 9 y/o is allowed to use a calculator in school. How ridiculous! At least there are still people in the world (members here) who will put in "old school" work with their ---given talent(brains) to get ahead.

I find that using brainpower for some potentially profitable or exciting outcome is the best medicine to counteract the monotony of "the every day grind".

Just some harmless thoughts for all my friends!

Happy holidays everyone!!

kramden

ps. This 4D stuff has got my brains working overtime! Thank God, and the "Creators" for this new enhancement. (i know its for bac but I am a bit giddy)
