  1. I’m not a member of Beatthecasino.com, But I’ve decided to share a basic foundation that I have used for years as a professional gambler. I mainly play Pai Gow Tiles & Baccarat. I only play in land casinos. Four basic rules are applied in each of my games: Knowledge – you must know at least the basic rules of the game that you are playing. There have been many incidents where I played against the house, and the dealer made mistakes. So, you are susceptible to chaos if you do not know the game’s basic rules. The Casino floor staff not always watches your table game or expect surveillance personnel to call. Bankroll – the amount of money that you will allocate to the game. I’ve seen players playing the 100-dollar table and buying for $500. Not enough to survive. It is very stressful and unmanageable. It must be at least 20 times the minimum bet. Money Management – it’s about how THEY handle their bankroll. It must be divided into sessions. You must apply your predefined goals for each session—the number of units you expect to win and then quit that session if it’s reached. Conversely, if the shoes you are playing lead to losses, what was your stop loss set, so you stopped playing that session? Discipline is the most challenging element to apply in the gambling arena/Casino games. I’ve been working on it for years and sometimes violated my protocol. It’s about demonstrating the ability to walk away from the table, mainly if they are in a losing position. There are many books written about the above items. Some can be found by searching on Google. John R.

  3. I’m back from a Las Vegas trip with substantial winning units at the Baccarat games. About half of the winnings I gave back playing other gambling games. I drew a conclusion that Baccarat should be my only game at the Casinos. I basically took the NOR approach to its next level by extending its approach using signaling flow marked on a score card as each hand is dealt out/played. It basically will “alert†the player to stay or play the next upcoming hand. You must practice and be able to record both the NOR and the signaling method. It requires hours of practice. You can't marked mistakes on the score cards... As we all know with the NOR approach HE/SHE must play every hand. In times losses are taking place leading us to navigate in the majority of the time to an approach called OTR (On The Run) using light progression of 1,2 or 1,2,3. It's all relative to your bankroll along with your Stop/Loss (Most of the time -8 should be OK) and Take/profit goals (+10 to +15 depending on how the shoe runs). Not sure how some of the visitors/members on this website got my email address. I’m flooded with emails requesting to share the NOR and along with my signaling system. Here is my response: First of all the NOR system is copyrighted and I don’t have a way to confirm that it has been legally purchased by a player. Secondly and I’m not trying to be rude, my signaling approach along with NOR is at its early development stages and requires more work. However, it did great during the games in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Above and beyond, I’ll not shift away players from the original approach called NOR. John (New York City)
  4. While on my flight trip to Las Vegas, I watched on my computer a YouTube video "Ellis plays NOR Baccarat". You can view the game on the Internet at: A student read Ellis hand by hand a game which took place on June 4, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi, MS. The Game started with two players followed by two bankers. The O/R count for the first four hands was at -1. Also based on the four hands you could easily classify the beginning of the game as Two’s. Meaning that system S40 which is designed for choppy shoes will not be qualified for now. Therefore, if you studied the F2, F3 and OTB4L you could easily assigned those systems to the game. Above and beyond, the best system qualified for this type of shoe is an old system called OTB4L. Why? Because OTB4L favorite is two’s! During the demonstrated game Ellis has been disrupted by one or two of his students leading to several error in the game, which I’ll not comment in this post. In the majority of the time Ellis goals & objective in a Baccarat game is to reach +10 units. I attached a snapshot picture from the Video where I point out an error made in the calculation of the score. Ellis assumed that he reached is goal (+10) but the +10 has been reached at the next hand. Reaching the +10 unit could off taken place much earlier in the game, but as I stated one or two students kept confusing Ellis and themselves as to which side the next bet should be taking place. In another words the “carrots were telling the Gardner how to plant the seedsâ€. I attached the chart with the proper score. Thank you Ellis for helping us out there to improve our game using an approach called NOR. John (New York City).
  5. Hi E. Clifton Davis, Thank you for your response. This table did not have the new dealer shoe that signals the dealer when to hit, etc.... As far as I understood from some Casino managers that special device/shoe is under a pilot. Some Casinos already leasing that device. The reason being, some players made comments that they don't "trust" that device. The perception out there is that it's a suspicious device that may interfere with the game. We all know that it's a bogus claim. If I had to worry about the element in the game it would be about the Master Shuffler. Because it could be tweak to shuffle thru different combinations... As NOR players, if we don't have prior information about the table, previous shoes, we just wait and see how the game develop itself and we make a simple decision such as: Do we start with the S40 approach for choppiness because the O/R count is +2 or higher? or Do we play F2, F3 Streaks because the O/R count is at least -2? Or further as the shoe progresses to find out that the game is neutral? I don't play the 40N. I wait for a breakout to occur within the next few hands. Meaning the game restore itself to a choppiness or Streak condition. Otherwise I either wait for the next shoe. Or leave the table. John John
  6. Hello everyone. Back in Atlantic City, arrived at the Hilton Casino. At the Hilton Casino, 2nd floor, several baccarat tables were opened. All games were mini baccarat style. The dealer deals player and banker hands. The minimum bet at the table was $25 with 5% commission applies to banker's winning hand. Two tables were full and the third table had 3 players, I sat at the table as the 4th player. The game was in progress, about 20 hands dealt into a choppy shoe. So I missed the “ATTACK†using the S40 system. The floor person was flirting with the dealer at the other table so no much attention was taking place at our table. I don’t know why but I felt something is strange about the dealer on my table. The way she was dealing the cards and approaching the players bet you could swear that she is new to this game. I believe she was struggling to apply “her knowledge of the baccarat game and its rulesâ€. Well, I was correct. Here is what took place in the next few hands? 3 players betting, I’m observing. The player side was dealt 4 2, Banker J 1. In Baccarat, the rules call for the player to stand. Meaning, no more cards should be dealt to the player hand. But the dealer made a mistake and dealt a card to the player side, a nine (9). At the same time she dealt another card to the banker a Q (queen). The dealer announced players win and collected the bets from the table. The 3 players which were betting on the Banker went nuts. They started raising their voices mumbling in Chinese and pointing fingers to the dealer. The dealer called the floor person. The PIT Boss and a security guard walked over to the table as well. The dealer was trying to explain what took place at the last hand while the 3 players were shouting loud words in a foreign language. The PIT Boss asked them to come down while attempting to listen to the dealer’s story. Next the Pit Boss recalled the 6 cards from the mock. He also called surveillance asking to review the tape and explain them over the phone what took place. The Casino admitted that the dealer made an error and the card with a value of 9 was supposed to be dealt to the baker side. But since the Pit Boss and surveillance were able to recreate the hands, a decision has been made that the player is the winner against the banker 6:0. The card value of 9 was used for the banker. The queen card was placed back into the mock and was considered as a fouled card. A player from another table came over to help in translating to the 3 players Casino’s decision. The 3 players left the table shouting on the Dealer and the Pit Boss as the exit the dragon room. I was left alone with the dealer. So before the Pit Boss went to file an incident report, I asked if it’s ok for the dealer to reshuffle the cards or use the second set of cards (8 decks) located inside the Master Shuffler machine. To my surprise he agreed to use the second set. I purchased 20 units of $25 each. luckily a new dealer arrived. Two new players joined the table as well. Note: I forgot to mention that for the weekend trip I already practiced about 55 shoes to include F2, F3’s and was ready to exploit the game above and beyond the S40 approach. Who knows I may go OTR (On The Run). It was time for dinner, but I decided to play one shoe. My goal and objective was to win +10 unit. My stop/loss was set to -8 units. The game started slow. No one wanted to start betting. I always wait for 2 to 3 hands sometimes more before I decide which system should be applied to the shoe/game? Attached please find the my play at the Hilton. Slow game which generated +5 units. GOD Bless, John Baccarat-HILTON-AC - SAT-April21-2012.pdf
  7. Hi BigVIC, Responding to your question and comments. The problem wasn't with my $100 bet. The floor person problem was that the entire table was following my bets. With all the respect to the individual and I'm not a racist, I was the only white boy on the baccarat table. The orientals which had a nice amount of chips on the table started to push large bets in with an objective to recover their losses. Again by following me and we won. This event probably trigger the floor person to "WATCH ME". The comment I made about the Casino "CHEATING", sorry I misspelled the word shuffling. Once you watch Ellis NOR baccarat Q&A. You will understand and he is correct 101%, The URL is : You can tell that in times the cards will have a serious of large cards dealt out leaving small cards in the shoe. It will change the flow of the cycle towards natural. meaning, you will see that the score on O/R will hoover around the + - 2 or 3. Another words going no where if you will. Yes you can play 40N but you rather walk away from the table and look for an easier game/flow of cards. Because in a natural condition the casino make the big $. You need to realize that the players on those table are big bettors. They have no concept of Money management and will use similar concepts such as martingale to recover in one or two shots their losses. The Casino loves them! In terms of Money management here is what "NOR" and Ellis the founder teach: You can remain in flat bets or use 1,2,3. If the shoe is "HOT" use 3,4,5. In times go to progression of 4 or 5 but it is all relative to your bankroll as well as the minimum and maximum bets on the table. The score at your card. Are you up 10 units? you just loss let say 1,2,3 total of 6 units. Why give back the remaining 4 winning unit by going to 4. Why not reset the count and wait for the reestablishment of the cycles? there is no argument that Money management is one of the most critical part of the game. You can't expect to achieve a concept of arriving at the $25 table and buy for $100 and expect to win big unless lady luck is on your side. This is how the orientals do. They will arrive to the table not knowing what is going on and piggyback a bet on another players bet at the table. This is how to go broke! Why not wait to get the proper signal.s We don't know what will be the result on the next hand... But remember the SAP (Lease Common). Or in S40 the high + count in O/R chances are you beat the Casino. Always establish tour goal of how many units you are looking to win per shoe. Once reached you must stop playing. Don't go back and say I wish I stayed because the shoe was good and it made another 30 units. This will cause any player to develop the wrong approach to the game and in the long run HE/SHE will go broke. I first was thinking that the above is nonsense. Until I started to experience it by myself. An evidence which is sufficient to show that it's true. GOD Bless, John
  8. I'm excited and happy from the result of my last games at Atlantic City. I decided this time to play baccarat at the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos in Connecticut. The traffic was slow. It took me about 4 hours to get there. Thank you GPS... I arrived at about 2:00 pm at Foxwoods waiting on a sit at the baccarat tables. The majority of the players are elderly people most likely arrived with the daily casino buss. The tables were $20 minimum. While waiting I remembered from watching Video that Ellis told the audience that one of the key elements to success in winning baccarat is to find the proper table, collect history on the last games Also I had time to peek into previous play on the tables by reviewing old cards left on the table. It took about 25 minutes and sit number 1 opened. I sat down. The Shoe is in progress it was dealt about 31 hands. Overall the shoe cycle is gearing toward natural. Based on my calculation using my score card the score is hoovering around + - 2. I set at the table for about 10 minutes. The floor person walks over to me and asked me if I'm planning to play? Otherwise I have to give up the sit because they had other players requesting to play at this table. I cashed $500. The score was -1. I waited a few more hands and here it came a breakout of the natural flow took place entering a choppy shoe. Perfect for the S40 approach. I started to bet. The count O/R was at +6 so I increased my bets from $20 to $100. It triggered the floor person attention, standing next to me. I didn't worry about that because I'm not cheating. They are with their wired suffered cards. The problem why the floor person was standing next to me is not because I bet a black chip. She wanted to see/follow on how am I picking up my bet. Why? Because the rest of the table started to follow me and waited for me to place a bet. I kept a low profile. My goal was to get 10 to 15 units and wait for the next shoe. But the attention toward me was too high, I was about to leave. The floor person asked me to color in. Because they were short of chips. I ended up with +18 mixed bet for a total of $1,300.00. Scared but happy from the result of the first game, I left the Casino and drove towards Mohegan Sun about a 30 minutes ride. The staff was nice. As usual I kept a low profile. The two tables next to me were crowded, unbelievable $10 minimum. I guess the economy does impact the Casinos. I set at an empty $25 dollar table asked the dealer to start the game. The dealer started to prepare the game asking the floor person a permission to extract cards from the master shuffler machine. I cashed a $1000.00 ($500 in $25's and 5 black chips $100 value each unit). I did not want to play by myself. But the dealer told me that she doesn't care if I place 1 chip on the banker and 1 chip on the player "simulating a free hand". Worse case scenario will be losing 5% commission if the Banker won. Luckily as the game about to start 3 other players joined. I was so happy. Because I wasn't sure if the Pit - Boss or the Casino allows that type of bets? I was afraid to ask. Remember I'm trying to keep a low profile. All I know that in Las Vegas you can request a few free hands without "abusing" their allowance. Although the NOR approach calls to observe then enter and play the hands according to the O/R (SAP is a plus). My approach is slightly different because for now I 'm running the S40 approach only. I'm looking to intercept my signal. A conservative play. In times it leaves big winnings on the table. But I 'm not greedy. It will change as soon as I start applying the navigation approach of using a combined 40N, F2, F3 and SAP at the table. I'm still practicing. No rush the Casinos are going no where. The current game at the table is slow. A new dealer arrived. She took her time talking to the dealer at the next table. The 2 out of the 3 players at this table are about to lose all their bankroll. All left so I left too going for a nice dinner. I end up with $331.25. GOD Bless, John game at Mohegan Sun-Thr-April19-2012.pdf
  9. Hi Ellis and participants/viewer on this board. Once I got the NOR system, it took me about a few days to understand the S40, F2,F3 and SAP approach. Practicing 16 hours a day x 6 days a week at home has been the key for progressing with the NOR system. . I made a decision that for now I'll adopt system-S40 which is a perfect approach for a choppy shoe. Down the road I'll learn to navigate/switch during the game based on the O/R to the F2, F3 and use SAP as well. The key is I trained myself to wait while an F2,F3 activities are taking place. I also wait the proper signal, very conservative. So the key is to wait patiently and be discipline. Also I ignored other players action(s) and the noise/excitement on the table. Why? Because as the table resumed its choppiness the heavy betters loss almost their entire bankroll and the table was quite... Here is what took place on this table. $60 minimum bet. No commission/dragon table.I ignored the ties and the dragon bets. Purchased $600. Each unit had a value of $20 so the minimum bet is 3 units. Using the Money management, I didn't choose the 1,2 or U1D2M2. I stayed with flat bet. My bankroll was small relative to the minimum bet requirements ($60). Also we had only 3 tables open. Not many players were found in the Baccarat area. I attached my activity at the Borgata table (PDF format). After making $300 at the Borgata I went to gamble across at the Harrah's Casino. Same system S40 flat bets and made 10 units time $25 total $250.00. Yes the minimum table was $25. Thereafter, I took the Jitney to the Trump Plaza. Made +23 units in 3 games. Minimum bet was $20. Total; of $460. Total winnings for this 24 hours trip was $1,010. Not to be greedy but if I knew how to navigate from and to F2, F3 and use SAP, my winning probably would off been at least $3,000 to $5000. But time will tell.
