  1. Ellis in the NOR manual you say: 'Therefore, to get our 3rd bet right most often we need to know what 3s are doing. Are 3s mostly staying 3 (Mode 3) or are 3s mostly going to 4 (Mode 2)' So why would you play s40-3 in the above shoe? All 3's were going to 4s so therefore it's Mode 2? :S
  2. -1 -3 -6 -5 -4 -3 -2 -1 +1 -1 -4 0 -2 +1 -2 -6 -4 -6 -8 B12112517 B2111211 Result = -8 Real Money, high +1 SAP Score 7/8/0/8 to Avg 7/6/4/4 System/Mode = F3 Started with s40 then switched to F3. Didn't go well. HOWEVER, Just played it S40-2 and got around +10 units. Not real money though lol. But even the the count was sometimes minus and mainly 0, s40 still beats it. I guess thats what Ellis takes about overlap. Its pretty much s40 without that 5 and 7. You go OTR after 2 loosing bets for a bet and just wait for the streak to end. Then you resume opposites. Should of picked this up! But a good learning shoe. No 3s means 3s are going to 4s which we can accommodate using s40-2. Good learning shoe!
  3. Hey Ellis, Another shoe for you to look at! P11111211911 B211412121311 P21 Played from play 2 with S40 with 345 prog (Sat through previous shoe and it was choppy, 345 was doing well) and lost my first 345 prog to that 9 streak! Waited for the shoe to end then resumed betting. Anyways continued this until the third column where i lost my 345 prog again and left with +10 units. However my high was +31! You talk about capturing, but thats usually during late 3rd/4th column? The shoe should remain the same right? So when's the best time to quit when you got so high but then suddenly it's not going to plan?
  4. The app is a statistical tool that does sap, cs (or), ot, and bp counts. It frees up valuable decision time, time is valuable when playing online at dublinbet. I'm considering adding a wash timer so that you can verify the effects on how it effects chop/streak. Also adding some more statistical data when saving the shoe for reference. Oh and finally figuring out how to get it recording BTC style shoes which has proved more troublesome than it should be.
  5. Stuff working for a living, I'm back. You can find the latest version here: www.nicksticks.com/Plasia/bachelp.jar I've got SAP going correctly as per PapaJoe's advice. I've got a backspace button for when it doesn't go correctly. As for RD1 count, no one seems to be using that anymore. I don't think doing a system count would be worth it because we're always improving the systems here so it'll be out of date in no time.
  6. Thanks for the explanation Ellis! You say OTR for a single bet, so I'm guessing once you've made that bet you just wait for that streak to end then resume using s40 with whatever prog you were using? Also, u say to use S40-3 (mode 3) but you have prog length of 4? (1234). You say in the NOR approach thread that 'I'm calling the two S40 modes 2 and 3 to correspond to the number of losing bets you make before going OTR'. So how can you use a PL of 1234 instead of 123? Still lots to take in, but I think I'll get there thanks to everyone's help
  7. Ellis how would you tackle this shoe? P11131256 B21212123111111 P122122123211 B2 I started with s40 then switched to F after the 5. The OR count has big excursions throughout which indicates F and I hit +15 at the end of column 3. However, if i stayed s40 throughout this shoe I hit the +30's in the third column. Would you have stayed s40 after the 5 and 8 in the first column (for the 8 it continues in the 2nd column). If so why? why not? Thanks PS - Thanks Garry for responding to my question. I actually wasn't following the rules for F so I had to go back and check them again!
  8. 2 questions, 1) At play 8 why do you win your 2 bet? Play 7 was player, so wouldn't you beat repeat? (So a 2 bet on player on play 8.) 2) When you say mode 3, you mean F3 right? Thought F2/3 didn't have modes.. Thanks
  9. Hey Ellis, What are the two modes for each system you speak about? I think I might be blind, I can't find them!
  10. Hopefully that'll be the end of these legendary computer problems!
  11. Minimum bet is 1, so you go down to that in those cases. There's an old thread on this: http://www.beatthecasino.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5825 It's still pretty much untested, rescore your shoes against your other progressions and get a feel for its strengths and weaknesses.
  12. That was my progression :) I don't know precisely how it stacks up against U1D2(M2) but if I remember correctly from my testing it wasn't too far behind in high score with a better low. Maybe we should do some proper comparisons.
  13. Yes I did, I'll investigate whether it's possible. Currently I'm putting ALL my time in to practicing street fighter. If I qualify I get a ticket to vegas!!!
  14. I can do that, I didn't know that I should sap like this though, it makes sense. I'll add it to the list.
  15. I should write a book on how to overcommit yourself. Said yes to too many work projects for my work at home job. Blleeeeeah. I'll be back soon.
  16. If you can't run it, you probably don't have java. Follow the directions here: http://java.com/en/
  17. Yes adding on counts is no problem. I'll add it to my list.
  18. You can grab it here: http://www.crosswebdesigns.net/plasia/downloads/bachelp.jar I can't upload it as an attachment since it's an "invalid file". Just double click it to run.
  19. I just finished it. Too tired to test right now, so I'm going to do that tommorrow. If it's all working nicely I'll upload it here. I cheated on the shoe output, it's in the form ""BPBPPBBBPPBBBPPBPBP" etc... In future versions I'll make it output the BTC format of shoes.
  20. Going to give myself a deadline of this Sunday to finish it enough to start proper testing. There will probably be bugs so I'll need some help ironing them out. However once that is done, those of us that play online will have a helpful little tool.
  21. SAP was easier to implement than I thought. I should have the basis of this program done pretty soon. I'm thinking of adding a RD1 count, it would give a good indication of whether RD1/n would work or not. What do people think?
