  1. I must say kachatz1 one thing I have enjoyed about this site is your humorous and slightly twisted posts. You've got an idea but your not gonna give it to us are you? Your gonna make us guess . I don't know man - wouldn't this site continue and the info would still all be here? By the way where is Hamster and his money management that cleared 16 units per shoe? Did he take offence to your Moons Over Your Hammy post?
  2. Is there enough info here to figure it out ourselves? Have we just about encountered every type of bias the casinos can throw at us? Neutral, Opposite, Repeat, change of bias frequently , lack of bias ? - hand shuffled / machine shuffled / preshuffled - there's only so many things you can do to a deck of cards? The way Ellis trains us is the same theory every time - figure out what the bias is and take advantage of it - he has set it up for us to continue doing what he did for us. Not saying its going to be easy as I'm only new here but with a lot of practise? Good question though Kachatz - I'm sure there's many people here who would rather ignore it including myself!
  3. Hi guys, I've recently just joined up to MDB / NOR and am sifting my way thru all the info and testing out everything. There's such a lot of tools we have and one things I noticed was that when you start analysing a shoe and you pick what you think is a bias and start playing you might be right straight away or you may be off slightly or the shoe might change. So you adjust but sooner or later whether straight up or after an adjustment you find you 'lock on' like a radar and your % of bets won goes up dramatically and that's when you start making back what you lost (if any) and making a profit. Its quite easy to feel that change when you lock on the wins come in - would it not be good to double your stakes when this happens to capitalise and then maybe pull back once you feel you've capitalised on the winning streak? (run out on good luck before it runs out on you) Does anyone else or everyone play like this or do you play for same stakes all the time? Brad
  4. So maybe baccarat is the fairest game as the results are pre determined if the cards are pre - shuffled and not drawn from shuffler So as long as you can determine the bias you can win Or roulette although they can cheat but roulette tends to be a game they leave alone as its universally accepted that it cant be beat by casinos? It really comes down to boycotting the games you cant win or the ones you suspect they cheat at or that cant be beat That's what Ellis keeps saying time and time again - he must get sick of repeating himself!
  5. Hi guys, I signed up to NOR and MDB and I thought the NOR manual was included - maybe I'm wrong? If it is included how do I download? - where is it? It is probably a stupid question and I should probably have searched and found the answer but I've been flat out and just cant seem to work it out - could someone help with the above? Thanks Brad
  6. It was exactly what you have just described Ellis that prompted my post. Guess the dealer business is one that's also been hurt by technology and the internet Human beings are being super - ceded by robots I'm sure if casinos could survive off slot machines they would - fixed profits and the only overhead is electricity and maintenance.
  7. What games do dealers start on and what do they progress to with more experience? How long does it take them to be a supervisor or pit boss? I know of a dealer who started at my local casino and has been there a year and a half approximately. Apparently he started on blackjack and casino war (very simple game where you try to beat the delaer with 1 card each and with a tie you can 'go to war' and get another dealt) Then progressed to baccarat He did a test for roulette once but failed and passed second time. Last few months he has been in the semi high rollers room. Just now he has been promoted to supervisor - there are others above him but he oversees a few tables. So in just a year and a half he has gone from nothiong to supervisor. Just starting a discussion on dealers and what games do they start on and what are the hardest? Also how long before they would get a promotion?
  8. Hi kachatz, what $$ table was it and was it machine or hand shuffle? Just interested to know how you managed to do so well as in Australia they are all CSM (one2six) and all blackjack plus rules (more odds in their favour) Also its hard to find empty tables - they are usually all nearly full. I have stood and watched a few games and you would never be able to do that well with how they've got it set up.
  9. Hi Carlos, In Australia these shufflers are on every table. I don't know much about Blackjack but I stood and watched a few games here and there out of 2 hands on a full table for example I saw everyone bar 1 person either lose or bust and the dealer got 19 - 21 both times. Why do you think the casinos use them? Is it just for faster games or are these machines set up to give them better odds somehow? Brad
  10. thanks that answers my questions, what you say makes total sense, I will see you in private NOR forum!
  11. Hi Hamster, yes the B+M casinos in Australia are tough IMO as there is nowhere else you can go apart from online. Perth and Melbourne are the same owner, maybe the others are too but not sure. Dont think I would play blackjack as they are all CSM's. They have recently launched a big bunch of baccarat tables on main floor which they have never had so obviously their focus on baccarat recently has increased. Worst comes to worst I will play airball roulette starting out as its single zero and low minimum ($5) Might go down today for a quick game as its Sunday and I'm getting itchy thinking about it. Would really like to go check out the casinos in Singapore though as its only a 5 hr flight out of Perth. Heard plenty about Marina Bay but what about RWS? - is it as good or not?
  12. Hi guys, Not sure if this was the best place to put this so apologies but it may help others thinking of joining: Does MDB advertised pricing include everything you get in the NOR price as well as MDB? What if you sign up to NOR initially and then want to upgrade to MDB? - would it be cheaper than the advertised MDB price as you are already a NOR member? Thanks
  13. Hi Oz, I read your posts in the past but then you disappeared for a while. Its good to hear the progress of where you started out to where you are now - that's huge Especially a guy from Australia as our casinos are pretty bad here and they have a monopoly although you mostly play online? I've been hanging on this public forum for years never making the outlay to join up but I never post much as I hate to be labelled as a guy who's trying to get something for nothing - I'm gonna find the $$ and join up today to NOR Will you help me out to get my game on track? Thanks Brad
  14. Read my thead on Blackjack Plus and its pretty much the same thing as what they have done in Australia. Anything under $50 tables are Blackjack plus where all bets are a push if dealer gets 22 Here they pay you 3 / 2 if you hit a 22 (might have to be 5 card total too) I think Australia must have the worst conditions in the world as they have all been 6 deck CSC for years. Theres just no competition here so they can get away with it - where else are you gonna go with only 1 casino in most states? Guess if you play the high limit tables then it doesnt affect you but thats rough on people like me starting out.
  15. Hi guys, At the casino in my town they have 2 games on the main floor: Grand Baccarat, and Mini Baccarat I think Mini Bac you just get dealt the cards and the rule is you only get half payout on a banker win of 6 or something? I see the guys sitting down for Grand Bac and they are dealt cards face down and allowed to have a peek before turning them in Not really sure of the significance of this on the game. Can anyone elaborate on the above and whether these are different from the general term 'Baccarat' Thanks
  16. The casino in my town (the only one in the state) has changed pretty much all blackjack games to 'Blackjack Plus' The rules from what I understand are 'all wagers on a dealer 22 are a standoff' - it says that on the felt game board To counter the extra house edge they have gained (I understand about 6.5%) they have given the players a 3 / 2 payout if they get a 5 card total of 22 I'm sure the odds of this dont outweigh the extra house edge they have gained but I'm no mathmatician. Apart from that I know that for sometime they have used a 6 deck game with Continuous Shuffle Machines. I have observed for many years how hard it was to get a good win rate at blackjack here and always wondered why a game that in theory should be close to 50 / 50 is far under that and more often than not down near 20% if you use BS and a MM or similar. I'm gonna join up for the Zero Prox and NBJ special in next few weeks - I do have a few questions: Would anyone ever consider playing under Blackjack Plus rules? 6 deck CSM games can ever be beaten or ever have advantageous moments where you can hold your own or better? Is the rules in Australia where the dealer gets dealt 1 up card first better or worse than the USA where they deal 2 cards and turn 1 up? Thanks
