  1. I concur with the above statement about patience. I am still playing 221 successfully and I know what it's like to play for 4 hours straight just to get your 5 units. I have done that more than once and it will happen many more times, it's just part of the trade-off of having a winning style of play. The game will make you pay for all of your "easy money" days. It does this by testing your patience and your composure.
  2. I got a free account at black orchid and practice there with fun money.
  3. Awesome Mike, I am looking forward to meeting with you and the other players as well. See you guys this Sunday. Enjoy!
  4. Hi Brad, thank you for your time. It gives me some hope that we can keep things more comfortable and keep the bets lower.

Keith's suggestion of s40 m3 is a good one although his approach is too aggressive for me. I used the same bet selection on craps last year at the casino without the m3 mode and never lost, although it wasn't a great amount of sessions I played, however.

I will have to give your approach a go!

I recently just discovered something that I believe the secret to pro gambling is this:

Every bet selection strategy no matter what WILL FAIL over time

Therefore if every bet selection strategy goes through winning and losing cycles we must graph several at once to be able to always pick a good cycle

Even then it is the switch that hurt you because what if every time you see a cycle is good and bet and it turns on you?

That's why further to the WL tracking of O / R / OT / T I also put a real money WL record in there which independent of all strategies records my ACTUAL win / loss

That protects you against the switches

I feel this is the answer - not bet selection or MM as we have many of those but RIDING THE WL CYCLES

I will post more so you see what I mean but the great thing is if you record say O/R and you get WWLW then its opposites strong

If it goes LLWL then its repeats strong - theres always a cycle to ride and with OT v T even more !

  5. Yes, Ellis, you are exactly right these people trying to denigrate your name are blackjack card counting worshipers. They said they won't believe in card clumping until they have scientific proof. LOL!
  6. Hi Ellis! I am glad you are doing ok and I pray you are around for another good while! I still am grateful I had a chance to see you and Thurstle play at Sam's Town (back when they had baccarat tables) and Horseshoe in Tunica about 15 years ago. I have never forgotten you got me a free meal ticket to eat at Corky's with you guys and I wasn't even playing, just observing! That was so nice of you. I go on a few other forums and your name is slandered here and there but I have always been there to back you up and vouch for you. I have nothing but great things to say. Most of the bad-mouthers probably don't even play. Just curious, though. What are the main characteristics of the shoes from Singapore if you are able to describe it? Are they a hybrid of some sort i.e. mixture of streak, random, chop, neutral? I have tried to find some posted up somewhere without many results. Thank you or anyone who can give some insight. Peace from Atlanta Griff
  7. Here is the link to the new shuffle tech that came out a few months ago. Game changer?
  8. The main thing it states on the video is no more pre-shuffled cards needed, and a big emphasis on a more secure game for the casino, less disputes from players, etc. This is an ad for casino owners/managers btw to gain interest in their product. Kind of wild seeing things from their perspective for a change.
  9. Hi Brad, thanks for your reply. I am a little off in the head due to a busy day with my wonderful children. I meant to post a video link but now I am on my phone, but if you will go on YouTube and type in Safe-Bacc by Shuffle Master you will find it. Apparently this new shuffle machine was released this year. A Bally's product. Peace and prosperity in all ways, Griff
  10. Says it eliminates pre-shuffled cards, etc. How does this change anything, if, at all? I would like to see a few shoes from one of these machines. I wonder if these have made it to American shores yet? Peace and blessings, have a good rest of the weekend, Griff
  11. Agree totally man. I have been playing at 5 dimes and have had nothing short of sterling payout times and customer service but they are the only ones I have played at. Did my research and they get the highest ratings. I hear Bet Phoenix is good for USA players as well as Bet Online. I think Heritage may have live dealers as well.
  12. Thank you MVS, this helps a lot. Just to confirm what you say here, I contacted another pro player by e-mail Monday and he said the tax you pay on table game winnings is ZERO and slot machine jackpots are the only thing taxable. Peace, Griff
  13. It depends really. Sometimes he buys in for 300 to 400 bucks and bets the minimum on pass/don't pass, lay or place bets, other times he buys in for 1 or 2 thousand and bets higher stakes. I think it just depends on table conditions and where he thinks the table is going and how confident he is.
  14. He plays his own style of "Doey Don't", he charts every roll with pad and pen. In a nutshell if 7's are rolling he goes to the don't side, if 7's are spacing apart he plays the numbers that are rolling at that time.
  15. I found today through some research that there is the "professional gambler" option as an occupation you can declare on your tax reports. I wonder if this is fairly new considering the popularity of pro poker tournaments here now. From what I understand that may be the way to go, as the max in taxes they can take from your winnings is 15% compared to the 25% (I read on one site) the government wants from the casual/recreational gambler's winnings.
  16. Still going pretty strong here in USA. I heard that in big casino towns, Vegas, Tunica, Atlantic City, etc that craps is 10% of all their income. Up in Cherokee, NC 2 and a half hours from me they have 8 tables and they are full on the weekends from what I hear. In Tunica the bigger casinos have probably 4 to 8 tables and I think just about every casino there has at least one table, not sure. So yes still a solid and decently popular game here in the states.
  17. How are table game winnings such as craps, baccarat and roulette taxed in the USA? Do most players who win regularly even worry about reporting their winnings? I know a guy who plays craps as a full-time pro ( I have played with him in person several times) and he made over $150,000 last year playing almost every day. He averages between $400-$600 a day. On another forum someone got wind of his successes and said something like "good luck paying taxes on that" out of envy I believe. The pro player said "if I have to pay taxes on my winnings then so be it". I don't think he is really concerned about paying or even INTERESTED if he owes taxes or not, and to my knowledge, he hasn't paid taxes on his craps winnings in almost 2 years of full-time play lol. I am concerned for him as he is a very nice guy and I am also learning from him his method of play and I don't want him or me or anyone for that matter to be in hot water with Uncle Sam for failure to pay a percentage of winnings. I have searched several sites about gambling taxes and can't find a consistent or a pat answer concerning table games winnings. Do you regular winners worry about it? Should I be? Thanks for any help and input. Griff in Atlanta
  18. Sounds very interesting. To the original poster I saw Ellis and Thurstle play live and win VERY well about 14 years ago in Tunica. I can only imagine how great he is now.
