Bet Phoenix "Cutting it short"

Thanks NBA, That seems weird to me. I am going to look into this further.

Well the last shoe that I played after the midnight EST server reset thing was still super slow. I was pumped up on coffee and if I recorded the time in and out of that shoe it was over two hours long. Then the whole thing went down Bogarts to obviously. I think if they didn't have a captive audiance with Americans and others from countries with anti online gambling laws they would have a hard time competing in an open market with so many technical issues. I haven't played over at BOC (fun mode only) in a long time so dropped in there to see if it might be a regional thing but their games were up to speed and looked good to me. Killed a couple of hours there and checked back with BPH but there still down. Well the coffee has worn off so go for a glass of wine and hit the hay.

Just finished a shoe that I got into around hand 5. Didn't see the shuffle or joker placement.

Shoe ended with the joker card at hand 44.

This is not consistant behavior. Some shoes go all the way and some just die in the 40's for no apparent reason.

MVS

MVS,

I played 3 shoes past midnight last night and the feed was up to speed again (only the two tables) and the shoes were full lengh like 65 to 70 plus hands. I still can't figure out what their motivation is for the cut card placement. Is it by pit orders or just up to the whim of the dealers.

All I can figure is just play what you see. If you come into a shoe and don't know where the cut card is just play it like it is a short shoe. There shuffles were pretty much back to standard last night so I don't know what's going on the rest of the day there as I usually find myself there after midnight jungle time. Shoes were good last night but the real long straight runs they used to present are lacking somewhat with more TB4L to OTB4L transitions. Had one good F-shoe that went Bank half way and basically player F/X the second half.

Never know what is going to happen when I tune into that place or even if they will be up and running. Stranger than friction but only online game in town for me. It kills me when they're down and I pop into Dublenbet and they are cruising along like always.

UPDATE: Well checked tnto Bph about just before the server reset thing. I caught the beginning of what looked to be a super streaker and then had to go take care of something and came back and the streaker had turned into a F/3 job for a column and a half. As I was running around doing stuff I got myself into a whole betting F3. F3 was a good choice but on the other side DUH. So in the 3rd column a 6 banks come out and I am even and looking to score before the shoe ends or like what began to happen it turned to molassas (as in a slow as molassas). Anyway I figure F3 after the bank and this time I'm on the right side and put my big bet down WAAAY early (no pondering this one) and it hits awaiting the jingle and the payoff and the little box came up and said my bet was late. That was a pivotal bet and I blew off the rest of the shoe deciding to break even as it looked like the site was going to crash again. So back to the drawing board. The shoes were up to speed last night at this same hour and now it's looking like it is ready to crash again. If I ever find out the dude who started the UIEGA bit here in the states is on the take from the casinos.....well #*%@%& and all that to him. Guess I'll go back and try again. That shoe was going on 2 1/2 hours. They really need to get there technical stuff fixed. When there site is working fine the shoes are OK. But lately it's so hit and miss. Who knows

Recognize that if the players do not know in advance where the shoe will end, it is a HUGE advantage for the casino, perhaps even greater than commission.

Most players play progressions of various slopes, some very aggressive. Not knowing where the shoe will end will certainly catch players with their pants down in their progressions.

I feel that knowing wher the shoe will end is a major international rule in favor of the players. To present a game without this player advantage is NOT true Baccarat by international standards.

If you otherwise like this casino I think you need to band together and complain that they are not playing by consistent and established international rules and are bordering on cheating.

If enough players complain and threaten to expose their ploy on the worldwide internet, I think you will win and they will have to rethink their tactics.

Some of us are also members of BF and I suspect that we could get some of their members to also complain. Remember WE are the customer and the customer is ALWAYS right.

Casinos organize against us! We have the same rights. We need to use the strength of organization just as the Asians did when the casinos tried to introduce the "must play every hand" rule. The players won that fight through boycot. So can we!

I've had mostly regular length shoes at BPH. And fyi, lately they seem to be mostly choppy punctuated by long runs. Net betting O vs. T works pretty well as long as you get on the runs. Or are Ellis and I the only ones still net betting?

Well net betting can be good in the shoes you describe if you pause the prog betting against the run until it ends while betting the other prog on the run.

For those who are submitting complaints to BP, issuing complaints to their front line of customer service probably isn't going to do much good. The low level reps are likely to say what you want to hear and blow you off.

Unless things have changed recently, a guy by the name of Richard (richard@betphoenix.com) runs the enitre BP operation and Carlos (carlos@betphoenix.com) is the casino manager. If you're going to email a complaint, directing your email to one (or both of those guys) is probably the way to go imho.

Another obvious way to protest would be to call in or use the live chat feature and request some one in the live casino department. Don't underestimate the live chat option. It's a very quick and easy way to issue a protest/complaint immediately upon seeing a shoe cut short or anything else questionable.

Hopefully they'll stop pulling this nonsense and address their software issues.

Straight run of 18 and counting, after half a shoe of chop! Ended at 20 (with no server glitches) And I was just watching. Followed by a 9 ZZ.

Man I was at the end of my session and slurping on a cocktail before bedby bye and was copying that shoe down. I was so tired I screwed up and only recorded 18 players but then came the chop and I went back and counted the board and it was a 20 players in a row and I was just watching a couple sheets to the wind. I'm going to throw it up in the M&M thread anyway with the errors. That is the longest straight run I have ever seen. I saw 19 at Ceasars Tahoe a long time ago. The strange thing is the dealer washed those cards for a long time. They are doing that big wash at, I guess, morning shift change now. The first half of that shoe was junk. I think I was half Anti betting and 1/2 RD-H. I just stared at it. Most expenseve bloody mary I ever sipped lol.

Hey if anyone got a screenshot or picture of that one could you post it ?

Bet phoenix just went offline at play 44 while amidst of dealing cards.

But this time there are still much cards in deck to deal.

definitely able to deal more than 60 plays.

so is this common or its just another ploy?

went in half an hour after the "dirsupted offline" and saw the game continue.

makes me wonder whether they did anything to the remaining deck of cards.

game ended with 70plays excl ties.

The shoe I wrote about was early this morning. If you're talking about a shoe last night, that's 2 x 20 runs.

gablaw,

That was a shoe this morning June 6, 2010 started at aproximately 8:50 EST and ended at 10:25 am EST. The ending shoe hand was 095MJT if that matters. I was fighting to stay awake through that one.

Yup, same one, assuming June 6 is June 25 where I live!

Oops, That's why I put the chips away after I pop the cork. It must really be something to see for those that are new to the game. I am always astonded at how hard it is for the strong side to lose in those situations. That one blew through 3 ties and some tough draw card rounds before it finally lost near the end of the shoe.

The last time I saw that kind of one sided shoe in the casino there I was at a table with all Asian players and we were of course betting with the bank in that case yet there was one guy on the other side of the table that bet against the bank until he ran out of chips. Lost thousands in the process. I've seen this activity more than a couple times and it is really baffalling to me.

I have seen a number of bizarre things like that that defy easy explanation. But the casinos even have a few sometimes that will buck a super trendy shoe in the name of possibly winning the last bet. That's what keeps those lights burning 24/7.

I watched part of the shuffle that led up to that shoe. I had enough time to throw together a quick breakfast and concoct a bloody mary so it was the wash they seem to do at the change of shift in the early morning hours. I see them sift through the cards examining the backs for defects I guess and do that sorting thing and then the wash. It is still to hard to figure these guys out. I just hope I'm alive next time they decide to throw out some more or those.

Hello gablaw

Okay i will have a go at it for ya....

After the first 8 plays i went with F2 and played it all the way thru because there was no 4 losses in a row ( maverick rules ) and finished at +9 highest bet 5 units playing the up1dwn2M2 progression..

also i played this shoe also with rd1 because there was a 4 in a row at plays 2 to 5 ( maverick rules play rd1 ) i played rd1 till play 36 i was at +4 units and it was a struggle so i stopped there and took my profit and went home happy lol...

but also i could of kept going and said when i hit +4 again i will stop and i did re hit +4 at play 39 so i stopped

I hope this helps and i hope i did this right
