Team Play Blackjack Seminar in Vegas

Recommended Posts

Hi Ellis,

I am surprised that you are teaching team play! I am more disappointed I will not be able to attend your last seminar. I hope you change your mind, or Keith changes it for you! :)

I'll miss you all!

Good Luck and stay healthy.

John

Well he's certainly trying. So you'll miss the seminar. Big whip! I think you already know all there is to know about team play. We certainly did it together enough times.

Remember that time at Turning Stone? You asked me where I stood. I replied, well I should be way ahead but my chip pile says I'm behind. The guy next to me instantly jumped up and ran out of the casino. Jeez, when there is money on the table you can't trust anybody. But that's OK, I wanted his first base seat anyway.

Ellis, Realize I learn something every time we play together or get together. Even at my age, this old dog is always open minded and willing to learn. Plus we usually do very well at the tables! LOL Good Health and have a great seminar.

pile em high and deep!

I started with a youthful but powerful wish - a dream really - to possess the power to beat any casino. Then I worked on that dream until it came true. I love to play with others who share that same dream. The casino has no chance, whatsoever.

I echo John's sentiments. I learn something every time we play together.

My only regret is that I did not meet you back in the day. Strange, since

we were both spending a lot of time in AC. Knock 'em dead in Vegas.

Sorry I won't be able to be there.

Paul

AC full time! Those were the days. I tried to stay under the radar. But it was a little difficult with a dozen blue coats following me down the boardwalk everywhere I went. Jeez, I had to use turn signals.

They finally brought me, on no uncertain terms, to the casino Managers office at the Claridge. No back rooms for me. I was too well known. Whereupon I replied: "I don't count and I don't play Basic Strategy and I don't cheat. I have my own way of playing". He was very cordial and said "Yep, I believe you because all my people are telling me the same thing. Sorry to have bothered you." And they never bothered me again but they barred me everywhere and that was the end of that. At least I got in 3 years of full time play first. Every dealer and pit boss in that town knew me on sight. Jeez I'd walk into a casino I han't been to in 3 months and the pit boss would say: Hi Ellis, how much you buying in for today?

So I went to the Gulf Coast! Never been to Biloxi or Gulfport before. But the first casino I walk into it was Hi Ellis Welcome to Biloxi! How much you buying in for today?

AC was always a great place to play off season/weekdays, weekends were tough for sure at that time. That was until team play was introduced! On a Friday night you could walk down any blackjack isle and see all seven player games with at least 3 out of ten tables with full table push of twenties. UN-canny, how the dealer almost never had a 19 or less, she/he was more likely to have a twenty or worse a blackjack! That is when I looked for a winning craps table or the bar until Team play! Then everything changed for the good! Now the dealer couldn't understand how imbecilic people playing totally wrong were winning and they (the dealer) was always breaking. An almost table full of chicken hitters were beating the dealer! This is one of the reasons I will miss being in Vegas, the last team play I missed was in AC years ago and it was called the St. Valentines day massacre! Ellis's team, literately killed the casinos that weekend. One of the busiest weekends in AC, the Taj didn't know what hit them!

Again I will miss you all!
