Hi Ellis,

I have been following NOR+ these few weeks, and it is very very good approach. THANKS again !

I would like to ask about this shoes:

From play #33 to #37, our score drop from +16 to +1 due to 5 iar follow with ZZ, I would like to hear your wise advice on the following options:

1) Do apply cash mgmt here to capture +10

2) It is too risky to go with bet 6 since we are at +1 and if lose this bet will take us to -5 (which means we are game over soon with -8)

BTW, I am slowly getting back the drift in baccarat, and mostly I play live online game which have short shoe of less than 60 hands per shoe.

Thanks.

1.) and 2.) Right, with basic NOR and its 123 4 prog we would not take this kind of risk. Both ways we are at +10 after losing our 3 at play 35. Playing basic NOR I would definitely quit there at +10. But NOR+ has a way of wading through problems so I'm only looking at 2 things - how soon I hit +10 (play 22 is very good) and my -8 stop loss. Hitting +10 so early definitely makes this a +20 attempt for NOR+. Our avg high bet is 4.5 but we can usually go for a 6 bet, if need be, by the middle of the shoe and sometimes even a 7 bet late in the shoe. Our hit rate on such bets is so extremely high that it is worth the risk in such a good shoe as long as we can make such bets within our stop loss. It is close to trading one 5 or 6 bet for 3 or 4 +20s.

But in a tough shoe, no absolutely not. We would take the +10 if it was in the 3rd or 4th col. Some days are +10 days (most every day in Vegas) and some days are +20 days or more. We need to get our fair share of +20 days to make up for the inevitable +10 days or worse.

BTW this is a good example of why we like to work in cols of 20 plays. Your score at play 20 is like a guiding light - like a third base coach. It is either saying "Go for it!" or its saying "Not so fast buddy".

Cols of 40 are fine but always count down and put a line under play 20 and play 60. They are like milestones.

Let me see if I can add a little to that:

If Baccarat is much like driving a car then U1D2 is like 4 wheel drive. That makes U1D1 much like driving a half track.

You are trying to drive prudently according to the amount of traffic at hand. Sometimes its like rush hour and traffic is so heavy and wild that it is safest to pull over and wait for traffic to die down. Have some lunch maybe or take a nap so you can drive later in peak condition.

And other days(casinos) or other times of day(new regular cards) you've got the whole passing lane to yourself and you can cruise along in 5th gear pitying the stop and go traffic in the lanes to your right.(the other players)

The shoe below you're flying along in 5th gear but a small tree has fallen across your lane. In a VW you'd have to stop. But you are in 4 wheel drive in a truck and the small tree isn't even much of a bother. You might slow down a little but experience in your truck tells you, you can sail right over it. So, we did! Get it?
