  1. At BP, are you allowed to skip bets and how many hands are allowed?

You could call them and ask them but seeing as how most people won't do that, I went in just now and found out that three hands is the maximum to sit out.

As I rarely sit out that many hands, I had to experiment tonight to make sure.

Missed two nice wagers too. I don't know how many you can sit out on the "free" side, but I would assume it's the same.

    You owe me!

  2. Yes, I posted that particular message a year ago!!

It's now August of 2011 and I figured it was time for the "two year" update.

I remember reading that first message when I first logged on here and wondering what all the fuss was about. After being in the baccarat game now for awhile, I think I see why you posted it up!

Congrats on the two year run and here's hoping it will continue for you.

  3. All,

I was recently informed that Sportsbook.com (no, I am not an affiliate or anything like that) has opened up a live casino operation at their site and it's supposedly accepting US players. Their frontend page reminds me a lot of Racebook.com's front page, right down to the member balance design.

Has anyone played there since this original posting? Does it handle US players OK?

  4. All,

As promised, here's the update on the payment from Bet Phoenix.

It arrived this morning via FedEx five business days after processing as in "right on schedule and as advertised".

Can't complain about that at all.

As I have no bonus money to deal with and no minimum play guarantees to deal with, the check was paid with no problems. This is good.

So, I'd chalk this one up as a "good report" on the payout from Bet Phoenix.

    MVS

This is good to know. With all of the negative comments I've been reading about online casinos and actually getting paid, it is good to know that somebody is getting their money out.

  5. All,

Hopefully some of you out there are getting something out of these shoes or getting some practice time in on them. Can't believe there's only two of us who get live shoes every day.

Anyway, here's the end of this weeks shoe action.

Five days, five shoes, five wins, this one being the smallest profit of only +14.

Well, I'm thinking that anyone who posts up a shoe here is showing a winning shoe.

What we really need to see is people posting up a really bad, losing shoe where they just got killed in it.

Then we can test against that one!

  6. There was a guy in another forum who posted up the following shoe and said he was happy to get +1 out of it. Not quite sure why he added that as this shoe appears to be able to hold itself together long enought for at least a +10 or +15. I tried my own way of playing it and got to +10 with no problems..

Here it is. (Hope I've figured out the posting convention correctly).

    B211221242111

    B11123241122

    B12411111125

    B41111211111

It looks pretty streaky to me and generally that's usually a good thing, I think.

  7. Well, if I'm ever going to be able to post up a shoe here, I may as well try this test in the graphics section for a starter!

Here goes nothing and if any of the public members can see it, then we're home free.

It's a photo of the Hong Kong skyline after I had gotten back from a slow boat trip to and from Macau. I didn't have any pictures of Macau as I was inside most of the time anyway!

Edit......Hmm, when I was composing the message, the graphic showed up in the preview nicely but now that I've saved it, only the pointer/link shows up for the graphic.

But I can see it when I click on the link, so at least we've got that going for us.

  8. I noticed that too about the public forum. It is kind of dead. Sounds like all the action is on the private forum.

I've noticed that it kind of goes in spurts and stops. Somebody will ask a good question here and then a flurry of activity takes place while it gets answered or sorted out but then the public area just seems to die off while everyone either returns to the private area or the public members just stop asking questions!

I have noticed quite a few people have posted up here in earlier threads in what I can only think would be during their public days as their name now shows them as private members.

It's still a good idea to check in every day, at least for me!

  9. Hi all,

Does anyone know a site with some shoes so i could use them for testing?

If someone knows such a site please leave me a link or the name of the site

    Thank you.

Well, that's an odd thing. Trying to find a bank of live shoes is difficult to say the least. I've gleaned a bunch of them from this site by going through the threads and pulling out small reports and details from various trip reports. I've also downloaded a bunch of live shoe data from casinovittoriosa.com where they have live dealers and the like. You have to hunt a bit for them, but once you log in, you can get about a month's worth of live dealt hands all in once place.

There is also a thread here in the public area where one of the mods has started to post up shoes.

  10. So my question is this:

Can enough of us look at our old shoes ( actually played) to see if my experience is a fluke??

OK, so I took a look at the last 10 shoes in the current pile. Here's what I got for sporadic 1's and what follows. I took any run of three or more after a sporadic one to be a "win".

    Lose to Win

     7-2
    10-5
    9-4
    20-4
    5-6
    14-5
    10-4
    13-1
    2-4
    10-4

If I can get some free time I'll check another batch of 10 or 20 shoes.
