NOR refresher--- how are you doing?

Recommended Posts

Stephen,

A detailed NOR seminar in the future would be a great idea.

This would reinforce the elements of NOR. I was surprised that there is not more uniformity in the understanding of NOR amongst players at the Aug Vegas seminar and more importantly some people are still not consistently winning with NOR. These issues could be addressed with a detailed seminar.

One of your questions should be "Are you winning more with NOR"

For me NOR has been the best thing since sliced bread, as I am winning more - but I am still a newbie, hence the following questions:

Questions:

When you are creating your SAP chart do you multiply the occurances of 1,2,3 and 4 by 1,2,4 and 8 or by 1,2,4,4. I've seen both used, just want to know if you have a preference?

When do you incorporate the SAP count for 1 at the table?

When using OTB4L-2 do you go OTR for 1 play or 2 plays aginst both runs and chops? I've seen it described that since OTB4L-2 gets on runs a play later when compared to S40 and F that only 1 play is needed. I realize that when you are in Mode 2 you only do the second play OTR when you win the first one.

Thanks

Both 1244 and 1248 are correct. 1244 is looking at 4 or mores. 1248 is looking at 4s independently.

High 1's is an S40 indicator. S40 wins every 1 in a row plus the next bet.

Low 1's is an OTB4L indicator if straight runs are also absent - very common (Neutral)

Low 1's is an F indicator when coupled with long straight runs of 4 or more - also very common. (streak)

Some have noted that you can play the game quite well by just noting what 1's are doing.

This is supported by the fact that overall, 1's are half of all events.

SAP is a quicker way of utilizing the Frequency of Occurrence table:

OVERALL:

1's occur 1 every 4 plays

2's occur 1 every 8 plays

3's occur 1 every 16 plays

4's occur 1 every 32 plays

And so forth.

You want to end up betting ON events occurring more than normal

and AGAINST events occurring less than normal

That is what SAP does

So does the 3rd bet rule explained in your manual.

Does it make sense now?
