I have read the manuals and being the cart b4 the horse person I am I went straight to Mystic to try 1st base strategy. I actually had great results in dealer hole card recognition and was able to eek out a small profit by betting table min. when I predicted a small 1st card for me with a spread of 5 units when a high was anticipated. I am confused about a couple of things after reading some of the threads. I thought the whole basis of card prediction was attributed to clumps but I also read that we should look for games that are not clumped and as close to random as possible? I also dont understand the use of neg progression seems to me if you lose one set you have to win quite a few sets just to get back to even. I must be missing something and would appreciate the facts. I was counting up until buying into this forum and I am very pleased I did. I can really see the advantage to your system.

Thanks

Hi Bonailbonesey,

If the cards are random, use basic strategy and bet a neg. prog when not losing three in a row. The reason you probably aren't losing three in a row is because you are in a type 1 game (random cards or almost random) You will kill that game! type 1 games are hard to find.

If the cards are "over clumped" leave the casino! you will predict exactly all your losing hands. Example:Take four decks of cards and sort them out manually, putting all the lows together, all the highs together. Now deal the game face up and see if you can beat it playing the same rules and payouts of a face down game.

Those are the two extremes of table clumping. Now the idea is to find tables that are close to type 1 games and adjust you progression to fit the level of clumping. I know Ellis will roll his eyes at this short answer, but the long answer is in the manuals. Use this a guide for the correct long answer, have a great learning journey.
