Questions for the NOR manual.

Recommended Posts

Dear Mr.Davis,

Thank you for replied to my thread, glad that you are out of hospital and hope that you will doing well. My questions on the NOR manual are:

1-Can you explain again on how to count on the ZZ run and give me a little example for that?

2-On the manual you said you will pause if you didn't win the very first bet, so how long will the pause be and when should we resume on the game?

3-Where can i find the samples that you mention on the manual and preferred us to go on the forum to check them out. I am also not too clear on the SAP, the way it works and applies on the shoe.

4- When we play baccarat, between the SAP and the OR count which one of them is more useful on the purpose of determination when to shift the system? For now, the way i am understand it is SAP is the record of all the events that happen in the shoe, am i correct? and SAP is to be used to help us to made a mode change but not something to look for when determine to change the system, am i right or wrong on that? Would you please tell me where to find the samples that relate to SAP?

5- The manual said we should use OTB4L as our default play, but what happen when the first few plays of the shoe would bring the OR count to, let say -2( exp. B115 ), then should we still use OTB4L or F? . I found myself having most problem when playing F, it is something i need to do more learning on, do you have any sample shoe that represents F style that I can study on ?

6- I heard there is the way to weight special events (1s, 2s, 3s, 4s....),please explain them if you would.

Mr. Davis, those are my questions, for now all my understanding of what the NOR teachs are very messy in my head, I need to have them clarify and then find my own special way to memorize and organize them, then i will able to practice. I would very appreciated your help or the help of any member here in this forum. Please be patience with me for my slow learning ability. Thank a million.

First Tlam62 welcome to the forum!

Next, be comfortable that NOR is just as "messy in the head" for everyone when they first start out. Rest easy. All will begin making sense soon enough.

Dear Mr.Davis,

Thank you for replied to my thread, glad that you are out of hospital and hope that you will doing well. My questions on the NOR manual are:

1-Can you explain again on how to count on the ZZ run and give me a little example for that?

Sure, first you need to be using a vertical score card. Keep score vertically instead of horizontally like most Asians do. You'll see plenty of examples in various threads on this forum.

OK correct, particularly with NOR it is important to know how to count the length of ZZ runs correctly. Nearly all players do this wrong. Just as Straight runs must always start with an opposite, ZZ runs must always start with a repeat. Most players fail to count the first circle of a ZZ run.

Let's say a shoe begins with P2112. That is a 4 in a row ZZ not a 3 in a row. The first circle of the ZZ run is at play 2, not play 3. So now you should be able to count ZZs correctly. Every Bac instruction says there are more straight runs than ZZs. That is ridiculous. They are simply counting ZZs wrong. Once you are counting ZZs right, you'll see that there are just as many ZZ runs as straight runs.

2-On the manual you said you will pause if you didn't win the very first bet, so how long will the pause be and when should we resume on the game?

Well no, not exactly. Once I start I almost never pause. But, with NOR, we never make a 2 bet until we have won a 1 bet. This helps prevent a bad shoe from wiping you out right at the start. About the only time you would not bet is when you need the time to overlay the 3 systems to see which one would be doing the best. But once you have more experience, you'll be able to do this W/O missing a bet. Also once you have more experience, you'll judge more from the events the shoe has produced thus far and you won't be needing to change systems nearly as often. For instance, I only change systems about once evey ten shoes. And also, when you graduate from NOR to NOR+ you'll find yourself changing systems even less often.

BTW, it would help if I knew where you live because then I would know what kind of shoes you face. Don't worry, nobody on this forum cares in the least what Nationality you might happen to be. And BTW, there is no such thing as a dumb question on this forum.

3-Where can i find the samples that you mention on the manual and preferred us to go on the forum to check them out. I am also not too clear on the SAP, the way it works and applies on the shoe.

Hmmm, you should have got those 6 shoes with you manual download but we aren't perfect. Does anybody know if they are posted someplace or can somebody email them to Tlam62. BTW, those are not real casino shoes. They are merely made up shoes to demonstrate how to play each system.

Yes you are correct but Forget SAP for now. It is not in your NOR manual for a reason. At this stage of your learning it will only serve to confuse you even further. The 3rd bet rule in your manual is a simple form of SAP and is all you need right now. That is confusing enough for now. Sap is something you can study later. Yes, use the O/R count to determine system selection for now. But it is good to also study which events each system likes and dislikes. As you learn you soon won't need the OR count. You'll know which system W/O the OR count.

Lets call it a 1151: Well, you'll soon learn that you would not play OTB4L in a shoe starting with 1,1. But if you did start with OTB4L M2, starting at play 3 which is the earliest you can start with OTB4L, you'll be at +2 at play 8 with a worst position of -2. Good

With F you would need to wait for a 2iar (in a row) so you would start at play 5 and also be at + 2 at play 8 but with a worst position of +1. Better

But the starting 1,1 points to S40. Starting at play 2 with S40 M2 you would be at +4 at play 8 with a worst position of -1. Best

6- I heard there is the way to weight special events (1s, 2s, 3s, 4s....),please explain them if you would.

Right, that is SAP again:

We count 1's as 1

2s as 2

3s as 4

and 4 or mores (4+) as 4

Ha, pure rocket science

Hope this helps!

Thank you Mr.Davis, to answer your question of where I live, I live in Florida and do you remember Myxuan? I am the one who wrote you a letter back on last December. I am the one having the husband that loss so much money on baccarat but so hardheaded to want to learn to be better at the game( He is the kind of person who didn't believe on anyone but himself). It made me so mad and decided to be one of your students to hope for one day I can proven to him the way he play was so wrong, and off course, I also hope to recover some of the money he had lost! I myself don't have much experience on this game except some knowledge by reading on my own research that included buying a Maverick Ultimate system I have mentioned to you before( on the letter i first wrote you on last December), and now NOR. I haven't been practice yet but will do later today since now I got your reply with info needed. Thank you again Mr.Davis and all other members who have been helping me. For more on the info on where where we live, the nearest casino is the Hard Rock casino in Tampa, my husband said there they use pre-shuffled cards. However, I might going to move to Ohio in the near future because of his work there, and there are more casinos that way, the Horseshoe of Cleveland, River casino in Pittburgs....I am a very timid person, it will take me a lot of practice before heading there to to test my ability to play this game seriously( my goal is a successfully 100 shoes ). Hope you all doing well and get even better every time. And Mr. Davis, wish you in good health always, for you and for us.
