New kid on the block

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone, my name is Oscar. Iam from Argentina. My username means random written backwards, because Nothing is random at the Casinos.

Im on step 3 of the manual, not asking questions yet.

In order to practice as close as possible to real world, I have a real 8 deck shoe.

Here are the local conditions for the game. 2 floors with 4 mid size (9 seats) tables and one full size table (14 seats) each.

Min bet is around $2, so I could get the nice tunning of the game W/O risking lot of money.

NO TOTE BOARDS . I haven't seen any tote boards in any casino in the whole country. It is going to be harder to choose a table to play.

Bacc is the second most popular table game, Single zero roulette is first.( they do have tote boards) Im not playing a game with 2.56 % house edge.

Cards are handshuffled, last night I was watching the way they do it to copy cat the same way at home.

When a shoe is finish it takes like 10 minutes to start the the new one. Just one shoe per table.

The rules are UK version. That means bank pays 1:1 . when you win a bank bet with 6 the pay 1:2.

I would appreciate any advice for this conditions.

Glad to be here

Well first modnar, welcome to the BTC forum!

The conditions you are playing are excellent for NOR - the same conditions I started with years ago. The quick hand shuffle will give you strong biases to work with.

The fact of no tote boards is a mere inconvenience, not a real handicap. You will just have to develop your ability to read player score cards - not difficult.

All of us old timers started that way. Fortunately, unlike BJ, Bac is a friendly game. I can already see you will have no trouble asking to see player's score cards. You can select or reject tables that way. But it is important you learn how to do this.

I haven't played that particular form of no commission Baccarat but I see no problem with it. You can probably look up the odds at The Wizard's site.

It will be neat having a player from Argentina. I don't think we have any other players from your Country.

As you learn it is normal that other players will begin admiring your play and even copying you. We are used to that.

Being our only Argentinian (is that how you say it there?) it puts you in a unique situation. We have an excellent commission program for members who bring in other members. You might eventually want to take advantage of that. But first, let us teach you how to play.

The House edge on this variation is the same for player 1.24%, and 1.46 for banker. I think the best way to deal on bank wins with 6 is just grab the chips aside and consider the play as tie, to avoid messing up the score count. When the game is over you count those half bet pays and add to your score.

About affiliate program, sounds good , we have to find a way to deal with the language barrier ( in Argentina the mother language is spanish) It is no problem to me because I can understand English, but most of local players don't. Anyway we could discuss this in person, I will be visiting my sister in July. She lives in Colorado. I am planning to go to Las vegas then.
