Green channel show on gambling

Recommended Posts

I was channel surfing today and saw a show on casino gambling. Very interesting. They were talking about a Russian Casino that got beat pretty bad by a group of Americans in BJ. They immediately installed card shuffling machines to stop the threat of getting beat bad again it was stated. What does that tell you. They went on and more or less stated that casino's use shuffle machines to produce the results they want. They had several casino experts on such as Stanford Wong. Anyone who thinks the shuffle machines produce random cards should see this show. It was on "the Green Channel".

Wow, thanks Sinatra 1. Perhaps those who don't believe me will believe friend Stanford Wong. Before shuffle machines, U.S. casinos led by Atlantic City, conducted exhaustive studies on shuffles and their effect on BJ. and we were seeing new shuffle designs all the time and could study their effects too. In those days BJ was the casino's main source of profits.

You had to know shuffles and their effect to win at BJ in those days. I don't see how anyone not playing full time could keep up with it all. I watched for a new shuffle to be introduced in the game at hand which happened in EVERY game the casino was losing. I knew how to adjust my play accordingly. The rest of the players simply lost. The Russians and other far flung casinos are simply not up on shuffle technology. They were likely using shuffles that produced random cards. Any experienced BJ player or team can beat such games.

BJ casino profits went from 6% to 15% during those same months and the new shuffles put a dent in my own profits as well. There were some shuffles I refused to play against because they were unbeatable at certain card ages and player numbers.

Anyone that thinks it is complex to beat Baccarat needs to stay away from BJ. That gets REALLY complex!

When the first shuffle machines came out they irradicated casino profits because they DID produce random cards and simple Basic Strategy beats random cards. The casinos threw them out after less than a month and shuffle machines went through four such immediate redesigns in their first year until they could replicate the new casino hand shuffles and restore hand shuffle BJ profits.

Baccarat underwent the same process and 20 in a rows suddenly dissappeared from the face of the Earth - except perhaps Russia and other far flung casinos.

For instance, I played the Canary Islands during that era and had absolutely no problem beating them every shoe for 10 days. They simply weren't up on things and dealt a straight forward game. Very easy pickings for me given what I was used to.

We descended on the Bahamas with a 48 man team and killed them. It only took each of 2 casinos 2 days each to bar all of us. But, by then, we couldn't have cared less. We all had our fill of their money.

It is incredible to me that the new generation is so naive when it comes to casino manipulation. With no practical experience whatsoever they seem to think that no corporation would ever cheat. What a dream world they live in. I was raised by the corporations. I KNOW how they are first hand. These new guys seem to think they were born already knowing everything and have no respect for history.

I was just interrupted by a call from Sinapore. My player there said that many there have taken the Macau Casino training course and are all complaining about it because they are now losing at an even faster rate after paying as much as $10,000 US to take the course. I hate to say I told you so but the fact is I told you so. That course teaches you to play backwards. It teaches you to play exactly how the casinos want you to play. If every shoe hit its random expectations that method would work. Unforunately we play in the real world.

BTW, Singapore also reported that BF's Pit Boss is claiming I stole OTB4L from him. Somebody needs to tell Pit Boss that I developed and published OTB4L long before he was old enough to be allowed in casinos.
