Guest Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) So far in my negotiations it's looking like we will be at [Edited for venue change] Cresent Bartending School.Anyone who is planning to go and already has a Gold Coast player number, would you please PM me your player number. Thanks.I'll have more info in a couple days.BTW, the Gold Coast is Boyd Gaming so if you have a card for The Orleans, Suncoast or Sam's Town, that number is also your Gold Coast number. This is OK. We'd rather be at Gold Coast anyway because they are better set up for a large Baccarat Group. Probably the best in the US. If you want to take a look at some virtual tours or see their web cam or whatever, go here:www.goldcoastcasino.com Just double click the blue link.I think you can get your GC Bconnected player card in advance through that site also. This would make things easier on me getting reservations set up. Edited December 7, 2011 by Guest Quote

Guest Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) I seem to be zeroing in on Gold Coast. Their casino room rate estimates are the lowest by far. We probably need to have some conversation here about how to get you room and meals fully comped. Also recognize that you can arrange to double up with someone if you want but you don't have to if you don't want.FYI - here is a copy of my latest correspondence with GC to give you an idea if you are planning to attend. Note it has to be a little clandestine."Hi Chanel, Ellis Davis here (Boyd# 106041211) Hard line 901 405 1723, cell XXX XXX XXXX - central timeDo you prefer Chanel or Dan? Thanks for your email reply. I had received a cell call from Stephany Chen, I believe it was, but I was on the road and could not get her email address. Very accommodating but it would be easier to communicate by email. My Mkt contact at GC has moved on.The Davis Group is a large world wide group of Baccarat players. We also have a BJ group but the Dec event is just for our Bac players. For the Dec event 25 is my best estimate at this early date and judging from past Vegas events. Of course the final number will largely depend on the deal we can strike.Last time the members ended up staying all over town, making their own reservations wherever they happened to be fully comped. This time I would like to have everyone staying at the same casino to reduce logistics and to save inner city travel time - and GC has the best Baccarat set up in town. We did some of our play at GC last time so I am aware that you have 14 mini bac tables, 7 standard cards and 7 factory preshuffled. My players will prefer the faster standard cards tables. Likewise, my members are players and will not be interested in show tickets - thanks anyway. My members are mostly $25 base bet players with about a $50 ABS, some, more than that.Up front, I will need a small (25 people) meeting or hospitality room for Sat morning only - Dec 10. Last time we had our opening dinner at the GC buffet. This worked out well and it would be a nice gesture if you could arrange comp tickets for the buffet about 7:30 P Fri Dec 9.While I will discourage travel to other casinos, a Friday night comp will put everyone at GC for Friday night play and the Sat meeting will put everyone at GC for Sat afternoon play. I will try to keep it all at GC but I can't guarantee.Especially for the foreign members, I have given them the link to the GC site so they can review GC accommodations. I think I can also have those that do not already have them, secure GC player cards through that same site in advance. (B connected)I may very well also have an advance recon player check out GC, and post a report to the members but I'll let you know in plenty of time. Since my members will be flying in from everywhere, some may be arriving before the Dec 9 date and some staying longer than the Dec 11 date. But since any extra days will be week days, I don't see this as a problem. I realize that casino room rates will vary over those particular 3 days but I'm telling members to figure on an avg of about $40 to $45 with further meal and room comps based on actual play. (unless you say otherwise)You need to make a decision: I can have the members make reservations through me and relay to you (I know the information you will need) OR they can make their reservations directly through you under a Davis Group banner - whichever you prefer. Just let me know.Thank you in advance for your assistance. I can assure you that all of my members are well mannered, casino experienced players. We have always been able to pull off these events W/O a glitch.Ellis Edited September 25, 2011 by Guest Quote
Guest Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Ellis,Just wanted to let you know that I am planning to join you in LV in December, and will keep an eye on the forum to sign up once you are ready and set up to take confirmations. I gather from your email to GC that the seminar timing starts at dinner on Friday; seminar session Saturday morning. I assume most players stay on through Sunday? All the best, and definetly looking forward to it!JohnHi John, glad to have you. Keith should have registration set up very shortly. It depends on the flights you can get but yes, most stay through Sunday. We will also likely have a play session Friday night at GC.I think the member registration will be same as before at $300 but we are also expecting some none members from another source. Their registration will be about $800. Quote
Guest Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Guys, I'm not sure yet whether I will be doing your GC registration or Chanel. But it is important if you talk to GC that you use the term Davis Group and not beatthecasino. That's how I got them to give us a meeting room at least so far. But either way, I'll let you know soon.Remember we got this far with Hollywood but then they reneged when they found out who they were actually dealing with. I'm trying to avoid that this time. Quote
Guest Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Guys, I need you to register for the Vegas seminar so I have some negotiating power. If you don't want to register this early PM me your intentions. Quite a few already have but I need everyone who is going to PM me even if you don't know your arrival date yet. Quote

Guest Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 (edited) Right. Negotiations with Gold Coast were simply going to hell in a hand basket. The Marketing Mgr we usually deal with there had left the company. I strongly feel they figured out just who we were when they ran my player number. I had been barred there about 20 years ago but all seemed to be forgiven last time I played there. Or so I thought. But hell, the host wouldn't even reserve a room for me even at street rate. This should not come as a surprise. We have had hundreds of seminars but have never been able to have one at a casino. Hollywood pulled the same stunt on us in PA.I think the best thing to do it stay wherever you can get the best room rate. Try priceline. They had some pretty good prices. Sorry about this last minute change.I should have thought to have someone else negotiate with the casino. Ha, anyone else. Edited November 30, 2011 by Guest Quote
daytrader77459 Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Hi, Ellis,Have you and Keith decided when (day/time?) and where you all might play at Fri and/or Sat nights on the Las Vegas seminar weekend? Unfortunately I cannot attend Sat's seminar due to travel schedule. However, may be able to visit either Fri or Sat night. I am definitely looking forward to the Las Vegas seminar DVDs also!Thank you.Daytrader77459 Quote

They have about the best Bac set up in Vegas. See you there. Quote
