Ellis, anyone. How would you play this shoe? I tried everything. Started OTB4L. With and without enhancements. Different modes. I even waited until play #7 before placing my first bet and started F system. Tried F different modes, + & - enhancements. Tried S40. This is an actual shoe from the weekend at Fallsview casino. I did not play. Here it is.

My mistake. The shoe started with 1 5, not 1 4. Not like this,

P: 1 5 1 (P BBBBB P) All the plays after are the same. My mistake. Try it with the shoe starting like that P BBBBB P.

The only way I can see winning this shoe is to start with mode 2 or the mode 2.1 with OTB4L But, we would start in mode 3 with no history info.

Good grief! Try to keep your columns 20 plays long. That way we know you transcribed the shoe right. Jerry did fine but you don't want to always play OTB4L. Play S40 in S40 shoes.

The first way you had it, simple S40 M2 123 starting at play 2 does +10 in the first col. That's all you try to get with 123.

But after you changed it, it gets +12 at play 17. You don't need a Porche when a Model T wins just fine.

Quick question on the shoe Jerry posted below:

1. Why would you start a shoe unseen on play 2 with S40 mode 2 instead of OBT4L mode 2?

2. Are you advocating that we switch to U1D2 (not necessarily having a mandatory 2) as soon as we win a 1-unit bet?

3. In addition to question (1) above - why start S40 mode 2 - and not use your previous NOR+ S40 which was play U1D2 but using mode 3?

From my playing perspective and database, starting play on 2nd hand is still too murky for me. I rather wait until I see a strong O/R count trend and/or 1s MCs or some other SAP indicator to help select S40 vs OBT4L vs F/SS.
