Quizzical1
Boy, I know I'm gonna get clobbered for asking this, but here goes.I get that proper table selection is a key factor to putting the odds of winning on your side, BUT.....The reality for me is, of the three casinos I frequent it is a RARE OCCASSION that I can find an empty seat at a game already in play. Invariably, if there appears to be a seat available there's a chip holding the chair for someone else 99% of the time.Day selection does not matter either. I know that playing M - Th mornings seem to be optimal, but these days / times they reduce the open table count to a bare minimun where all seats are taken anyway. Friday / Saturday / Sunday nights ( I know, the WORST times to play) there are more tables open and usually a few seats open, but the shoes are WAY tougher to play. So, my only strategy thusfar has been to start a new game and bet both P and B until the 4th hand or so and apply either S40 (if ZZ's show) or OTB4L (if 2's show) and adjust accordingly. Usually, others join in by the 4th big road column's 1st entry (playing the Prediction window) at which time I sit back and coast until I can recognize some sort of pattern direction.FWIW - i have been able to start at hand 5 on a few occasions, using simplified 4D, and can hit a +5 with some effort.QUESTION: Anyone have a better idea on how to play when you have no table selection options? BaccDJ126
Glenn you and I play at the same places and i too have been experiencing some losing shoes due to table selection and you know how frustrated ive been but believe it or not i have been playing Roulette when i cant get on a qualified Baccarat table i take my Bacc score card make my colums R/B O/E H/L representing Red Black Odd Even and High Low i keep score for all 3 and pick the best possible scenario and shockingly ive been having success with it i hate roulette but money is money my friends!! it would be a miracle to sit at a Bacc table without pre-qualifying it...but in Philly and in Atlantic City there are rarely seats at a bacc table and when there are you have to jump in them and most of the time ive been getting stopped out at -8 very very frustrating!! When they rear their ugly heads it's a pure loss - hopefully NOT on a 4 unit prog bet - that would REALLY hurt so be CAREFUL.I played VF last night and sure enough - no seats available. They only have ONE table so I wasn't expecting much.....So, I resorted to my staple game - Craps. Been playing it for 4 yrs now and it's pretty much the only game I can get in on during nights like this.Going to Parx today btw.....
