The First Cut Is The Deepest

A song from Cat Stevens, and later re-recorded, re-released by Rod Stewart and Sheryl Crowe ( among others) ,has a lot of relevance to Baccarat , as I found out last night.

Flew in to Vegas, arrived 6:30 pm, and decided to go down to the strip before returning home.

Went to the Golden Nugget, down on Fremont Street, since I wanted to see first-hand the new zip-lines installed...

Wednesday night, nobody playing, so when I approached the table I was the " chosen one" to cut the cards and begin the game...

I " cut" very near the front of the shoe, the cards were " handled" by the dealer, and we began the game.

Here is the game, ties excluded

B353613224111121211421313311121121...and then I left, sufficiently gratified by my return to Las Vegas...

Got me to thinking about where I had placed the cut card, and how it would have influenced the outcome of my results...

An EZ MDB shoe, With a different card cut " entry point"..or, depending on where the cut, a good MDB shoe all around...

Great NOR shoe, adjusted for trends, just where I started.

And 4D, coupled with simple bet progression espoused in the Forum put the icing on the cake

So my question is, Ellis, does it Really Matter where one cuts the cards, if they are armed with BTC's Advanced Weaponry Systems?

Would be interested in your comments...

Oh, and the zip-lines are cool, and the two dealers at the Golden Nugget are fantastic!!

Going back for sure, and I love to play fast, and alone...

I like downtown too. Golden Nugget with Binions right across the street. Right in the middle of the downtown circus.

Hmm, slightly low in 1's and 2s and slightly high in 3+s. Very close to random expectations overall but the runs are impossibly clumped at the front end.

Too impossibly clumped. Your cut is meaningless. This is a new cards designer shoe. Only 5 opposites in the first col vs 14 repeats! 5 opposites in the first 21 plays!

Hey, if some clown is flipping a coin and he beats you 15 to 5, wouldn't you be a little suspicious?

This is why I tell our members to avoid new cards in Vegas.

However I started I would go to straight repeats all the way through to and including the first 4iar. Then somewhere during the 6ZZ I would go to straight opposites and ride out everything with U1D2. Thanks to your cut I kill them in the last col (5 opposites vs 2 repeats). I finish at +23.

Hey, when they are throwing Repeats at you, play what you see. When they switch to throwing opposite at you PLAY WHAT YOU SEE. My highest bet was 4 which is very good for U1D2. This is like a shoe from 1989. I should have bet U1D1 for an easy +30.

Then I'd go find me a good BJ table. Their Bac sucks!

Your cut was like a fart in a hurricane.

Well, at least he's talking about diarrhea of the mouth, hence TheBrain, and not the kind we all have experienced much worse....in one end, out the other...

But still does not address a very simple point....

The point is THIS:

(1) you cannot " win" every shoe, if your simplistic definition of "WIN" is coming out with more units than you started with...you have to accept-the-fact that getting out-of-a-shoe with a " managed" loss is really " a win"....WHY? Becuz that is factored into all that is necessary to make you a winning-player

(2) anyone tells you they "win", consistently ( over and over) > 70% of ALL their shoes( every-single -one) is F.O.S. ( I'll leave that to your imagination...)...anyone adhering to a stop-loss, relative to their average-bet-size, and any-kind-of-progression espoused here on the Forum, so as to avoid risk-of-ruin( means they have NoMore Bankroll) , and anyone honestly assesses their wins and losses, well that is the 99.999% will benefit from this forum...

(3) SURE,you have Ba-Zillion $$ units at your disposal, and there are no table max limits, you can win anything, and everything

(4) but, a realistic, 99.9999% player who has a finite bankroll, who lives in a casino environment with table-limits set to make sure she/he has no possible way to clean out the casino, No chance.

(5) all that said, what to do?

Well, that is what the movie " As Good As It Gets" was all about, and there are many lessons to be learned to teach us how to apply the teachings of Ellis to becoming the best-possible PLAYER you can be....and achieving a winning- outcome, consistently...

Stay tuned...

.

AS GOOD AS IT GETS, the movie.

A leading lady. A leading man.

One won an Oscar.

One was a runner-up.

Not bad, no matter where you stood in the late 90's

Because back then , there was no E. Clifton Davis shining his flashlight on the path to Baccarat success .

And there was no ADOT, no SAP, and there was no S40- this, Or OTBL - that.

Oh, sure it existed in his mind, but he had yet to share it with you for way, way less $$ than what you can easily lose in a single baccarat shoe....

And even still today, there is no Oscar, there is no Grammy, there is no People's Choice Award for Baccarat table play in a casino...

So what (?), if anything, does this all of this have to do with Winning @ the Bac table, and how does it even remotely relate to the movie "As Good As It Gets", or Ellis and his latest MDB system , resurrected from the " discard" pile?

A lot.

A whole lot.

About now , I know many of you are likely thinking WTF?

Certainly, those who have joined the forum the last year or so...

Well, I have never backed-away from helping Y.O.U. before, I have given freely of my email and phone contacts, and those of you who know me, or have talked with me on the phone, or have played with me side-by-side know there is Something RELEVANT ( 2 Baccarat) here about to be told, and if you pay close attention, it might just be worth the ride, albeit a few more posts than you are used to...

(hey, all of a sudden we have a sports betting seminar...now that was not so painful, was it? It is a small world, after all)
