Phishalot
I have spent the last two weeks reading the forum and making the update to the basic NOR manual that I have found.I started playing live last week, playing 20 games over the last ten days. In my testing of old shoes I had, I had a 4 winning shoe out of 5. But playing live I have been only been able to win 11 out of the 20 played.Reviewing the shoes played I noticed that many of the shoe I had picked the wrong system for the shoe. (most starting betting after the 3rd event)Is this too early to get into a shoe for someone new at NOR?I understand that modes change during a game;mode2 if OR is -mode 3 if OR is +What would be a signal to change systems? In picking systems to play I have been using the following signals.1s & 2s in the first 3 events S402s & 3s OTB4L1s, 2s & 3s S40Any help would be appreciated.ThanksBob
Phishalot
Today I was reading posts that suggest different progressions.U1D22-2-112358Would the bankroll requirement still be the same?Would the stop loss and win goals remain the same?ThanksBob

But you haven't mentioned the half of all shoes that are streaky which is probably where you are failing. For streaky shoes where the runs strongly favor one side you are best off with F3.For streaky shoes with runs on both sides we usually have low 2s. These are S40M1 shoes. When practicing on a pile of shoes you don't have the advantage of table selection. But in a casino you do.Playing Baccarat W/O tabe selection is like playing golf W/O club selection. You always start your casino day playing from mid shoe. You should already know what system and what mode to play BEFORE you sit down. If you don't, you shouldn't be playing that table. Therefore your first table should be an easy win.Your toughest situation is your second shoe at that table because the other shoe color may be totally different. It is good if you can look at other players score cards for that color shoe so you know what to play.If not, you need to wait for your second shoe to reveal it's system and mode. Once the right system is obvious for each shoe color you should be able to play that table confidently. If not, change tables. It is not about challenging tough tables. It is about finding the easy tables. The most obvious signal is your score. If it is progressively going up you are playing the right system - Or at least one of the right systems. If it is going down you need to look at which system would be winning (Overlay) Remember that from your manual? If it is not clear which system would be doing best you probably need to change tables to a table where it IS clear. It is about shoe quality.Forget the 221. That is a betting system for Roulette.Forget the 12358. We don't play Fibonacis - they are too aggressive.Stick to 123 4 for NOR andU1D2 for NOR+ which should be reserved for the best tables - where your highest bet is 5 or less. The 123 4 has a goal of +10 but we are always prepared to settle for less.U1D2 we go for +20 but we are always prepared to settle for less when prudent. Just as sometimes we can go for +30.
Phishalot
ThanksI think you hit my problem right on the head.I have been playing at a casino with only one table.Going to need to go to the Philly or AC casinos where there are more tables.Does anyone know the casino bias for any of the casinos in those areas?ThanksBob
Guest
Hi Bob,Steve here. I'm the guy who teaches the NOR Boot Camp. Ellis gave you some priceless advise. He has created such a wonderful system in NOR. Listen to him and do what he says. Something I may suggest ----take what Ellis has told you and practice online where you are not risking money. There are a few sites that have live play and some with electronic play that closely emulate live play. As Ellis says, look at overlay, modes and all the things going on in each shoe. But in this way you can do it risk free. I advise my Boot Camp students to do this extensively. Then, hit the casino and observe for a few days. Take score cards and write what you see. Do a mock up game and see if your choices were accurate. Then when you are confident, play. I also suggest either getting some of the video's Keith and Ellis have prepared and taking the Boot Camp. If you have read any posts regarding the Boot Camp, you will find that those who have taken LOVE IT. IT fills in the blanks.Let me know if I can help.....Steve
