The post office was open so I was able to pick them up.

Is there a doctor in the house?

Great shoes, but before everyone else asks , can you give us a 'PLAY-BY-PLAY' analysis of just exactly what you did, one hand at a time, why you changed sides when you did, what aspect of NOR made up your mind to play that way, etc. etc?

Start at the beginning of each shoe, walk us thru your process, maybe a shoe at a time? Not all in one day. let's debate/discuss/digest all the finer points of NOR in action, before we move to the next shoe?

Remember the analogy about feeding the man a fish ( feeds him for a for a day) , versus teaching him 'how-to-fish' ( to feed him for a lifetime) ?

Thanks and you are sure to generate a whole lot of good dialogue on the forum...

And when you are explaining it all to us, show us all how you calculate the PA% for each shoe, and in total for the 6 shoes....could take a number of days, to explain all the shoes, and even overlap the Vegas seminar and make it even more successful!!

Maybe David ImSpirit himself will weigh in on this since he was there while these were played...

This should really "seal-the-deal" that NOR is truly the best way to play, ever!

Thanks and have a great Vegas seminar! Once people really grasp how you applied NOR to each-and-every hand of these shoes, they will be capable of condensing years of "trial-and-error" BAC lay into a short manual of style and approach...likely saving them many thousands of dollars and disappointment!

Yes Katchatz, I will do a play by play as promised. But no , these are not the same 6 shoes I played with Dave. I'll ask Dave to post those also and we will do play by plays on those as well. The shoes posted are actually only 3 different shoes each played 123 4 and with the 234/345 progs. I selected these because they represent all three NOR systems. I think all 6 of Dave's recorded shoes were S40 as I recall and I got out much earlier. These posted here I played all the way through so we can discuss where to quit. But they are all played exactly to the new manual. Well except for the one mistake I made in the first shoe which I left in to show you how careful you need to be when changing columns.

The scores are high but not high for the high number of hands played in each shoe. The PA shoes are probably even higher scores per hands played.

Recognize that in actual casino play I would certainly have not played these shoes all the way to the end. But I usually do that for sample shoes only because they are samples. But I think every play is precisely to the manual.

Game 1 Notes.

First, I see I whited out my 1 bets at plays 41 and 42 because I started to fix my mistake before I decided to leave it in. But you can tell from the score what those bets were.

Note that for illustration purposes I put all of my OTR bets in red - 2 OTR bets in Mode 2 and one in Mode 3.

I also marked the Mode in red just as I often do in the casino. The Mode markings are the mode vI'm going in at that point relative to whether I won or lost my third bet. They are not necessarily the mode I made that play in.

I started this shoe in Mode 2 because as Witchy Gal pointed out it is more conservative to start in Mode 2 rather than in Mode 3 as we had been doing with S40. Mode 2 cannot incur a 4 bet.

Note that my first OTR bets in each mode were always only 1 bets. You can be THAT conservative and still hit your goals.

Every play in every shoe was right by the book. No tricks or strange plays. Well except for my easy to make mistake at play 41.

Does anybody see any questionable plays?

I picked shoes conducive to each system but not ridiculously so. I put the OR count in some of them to point that out.

So de we have any questions yet.

BTW, did anybody have any trouble opening the shoes?

In shoe # 1 I understand the M3 at hand 53, but please explain M2 at hand 57.

Thanks LittleJim

You mean hands 54 and 57. At 57 you have already gone OTR on that run. See my other answer to that same question over on the Nor Manual Questions thread.

Got it, and thanks.

My wife has a degree in Chemistry and a Doctorate in Pharmacy...I point this out only becuz sometimes mixing chemicals together causes "unintended consequences", just like taking the wrong prescription drugs together ( or in the wrong proportions) can kill a person!

Sim-to safeguarding our bankroll at the table, while I have no doubt that "every play is according to the book", you have the 160 IQ + you wrote the book !

And a fine book indeed to simplify how, when, where and why We Can All Win A Majority Of Shoes Played!

I am especially interested in helping the new, younger players as us "Lifers" tend to have a greater experience factor with the game which allows us to comprehend the nuances much quicker...

Keep up the good work!

Ellis,

Questions in regards to Sample Shoe #1, S40, Start Mode 2.

Do you suggest always starting a new shoe in Mode 2, considering it is more conservative rather in Mode 3 (Mode 2 can't incur a 4 bet).

With play #29, why did you bet 3 units OTR, and not a 1 unit bet? Also on play #35, you did the same (Please clarify).

Thanx jrry
