  1. That site has reorganized a few times and recently updated the whole thing. It does appear to be much better now. It is a pretty good place to find live shoe data as they do post a lot of screen shots of recently played shoes in the B&M casinos. As a player who is always looking for shoes to test against, I find it useful. Yes, even if you play every week, it's always good to work against other shoes from different casinos to keep your eye sharp. MVS Note to Admin: If this post is not relevant, please delete.
  2. Wendel, Went to take a look at SBI but it evidently didn't like my login for the site. Not a big deal. Thanks for the pointer to it. MVS
  3. All, Haven't checked in here for a while but decided to take another look to see if any of the "old gang" was still here and amazingly there are several! Well done. Anyway, as things have progressed in the electronic world, I just assumed most shoes for testing something quickly were in some sort of YouTube video. Lots of junk out there so I thought I would ask up in anyone would be interested in posting up live shoes that they've played to help to get a varied cross section of regional casinos. Most of my play is online (live dealer only, of course) but every now and then I hit the local Indian casino for table play when they aren't too crowded. So, is anyone interested in this or is it too "old school" for the current crop of players? My game is still going well from WAY back in the beginning of Beat The Casino and wanted to continue to possibly help others with live shoes to work with. I can't post up daily like I used to do as other things have somehow managed to fill my hours, but I somehow manage to ALWAYS get at least one practice (or live) shoe in a day. Those daily small wins add up during the year for sure. MVS
  4. A 1,2,1 loop appears to be as close to "flat betting" that I have using for quite some time. MVS
  5. Your "Google-Fu" must be weak. A simple search will bring up the Immokalee casino and the Tampa Hard Rock. Toss in the Hard Rock casinos on the east coast and you've got baccarat covered in SW Florida. MVS
  6. My how time passes us by when we're busy. I've missed a "report" or two in the intervening years but the song remains the same. Things that I've learned over the years here have all worked out to be a good deal for me and as I continue to play baccarat, I'm still learning and studying and practicing. Yes, practice is ALWAYS required to keep you sharp and playing correctly for whichever of the plans you use. As a long time member of this forum I still say that this was the best investment I've ever made in the gambling world. The sign off remains the same. Is your baccarat game better now than it was a year ago? MVS
  7. I maintain a good balance in the account and when I pull the minimum amount out I leave a good balance to play on. The last two times were free as I don't pull from the account often. You do get once a month for free. I may still be on the "old" payment methods due to making payouts a long time ago when the minimum request was $500. The checks have been delivered by FedEx and drawn on a Canadian bank, so far. MVS
  8. I've played BetPhoenix dot ag for many years now. NOT BetPhoenixCasino but just BetPhoenix. Two different animals. Payouts have been timely, and more importantly, free. I'm not one who pulls money every week. It's silly to pay to get your winnings. Anyway, I've been happy with BP and continue to play there as long as the video feed is smooth and clean. When it starts to chop and lag, I leave. They have gotten much better since the "early" days when they started up. MVS
  9. The original RD1 was a pretty straight forward method and although it had a good following, it did have a losing pattern that came up quite often. Then came RD1-H (hybrid) to fix one of the problems. I have some shoes that were played all the way through using RD1 and if I can track them down, I'll post them up in this thread. It might take a few days as I've got a bunch of things going on this weekend (Biketoberfest in Daytona for starters). If I don't come up with them by Wednesday, remind me and I'll get back on it. MVS
  10. Well, I'm off a month, but the song remains the same! Normally I input a single message in August to this particular thread. It's short enough that anyone can read the entire thing in about two minutes. The facts are still there. As another year passes, I find myself still in profit from baccarat and still learning as I read the daily posts in the private area. I am a paid member like the rest of the private members. We made a choice and dug in against the casinos. I do not play as much as many of our members, and my wagers are smaller than "a few" of our really strong players. However, a win is a win and baccarat continues to be my game of choice in the casino. I'll stand by my earlier statements in this thread. This was the best investment I ever made in gambling. And the ending refrain remains the same. . . . . "Is your baccarat game better today than it was this time last year?" MVS
  11. Hmm, your card looks amazingly like my card! Yes, I do use the cheat sheet when working with MDB as it's still not my "go to" method of play, but it's getting closer. MVS
  12. Keith, Just got home from an extended western states vacation and watched the video tonight. Very informative on the triggers. It actually simplified some of the notes I have laying around here all the time. Thanks. MVS
  13. Scaldedcat, I can assure you (for what its worth) that you can win money in online play at baccarat. I personally do NOT play the RNG games and stick strictly to the online, LIVE dealers. I do not play at every new casino that comes online. I don't chase around the online casino world. If you find a reputable online, LIVE dealer casino, check it out completely. Read and re-read their banking agreement. If you don't like it, don't play there. If it does seem like you can live with it, you can make a minimum deposit to play on, just to get comfortable with the environment. If the game just doesn't seem right while playing, just quit and come back later or another day. I won't play when the video/sync is messed up or I keep getting freeze frames, although the game continues to play and I win a few more hands. I want it to my satisfaction and if it isn't right, I just come back later. Also, online you can watch the tote board and jump in when you feel the time is right. If I log in, see what appears to be a really poor shoe in progress, then there's no need to stick around! Good luck with your choice. MVS
  14. Chief, Yes, that's one of the main advantages (to me) of playing online is that I can see the shoe and then decide if I want to play it. If it looks ugly, just log out and come back another day! MVS
  15. All, I haven't posted much lately but most of my play is online so when I actually make it to a real B&M casino, it's a big deal for me. The wife had some "free play" and we had the time so a quick run down to the Immokalee Indian casino and while she was doing her thing on the slots, I took a quick look at the baccarat table in the main room. Hmm, it's almost 11pm and they still have a $10 table open. Very good. Only one guy playing and I ask to look at his card. It's all 1's and 2's, three Player 4's and 2 Banker 5's. Hmm, no THREE's at all. This is screaming S40M2 at me. As that is one of my favorite plays, I just have to at least give it a try. If I get whacked with a couple of quick "3's" then I'll know I read it incorrectly. I sit down to play to the end of the shoe and wind up getting: P21112261121 B41 For a nice, tidy +10 (net) on the greens. Not a "3" in the whole shoe, as best I can see! Played a straight 1,2,3 progression and back to 1 on a win (or losing 3 if it comes up). Immokalee casino also has a "high limit" room for the majority of the table games but at this point in time, I'm still not a "black chip" starting player so that $10 table on the main floor was just fine for me to take a crack with the $25 base, especially with what it was showing on the other guy's card. MVS
  16. Well, the private forum messages are clicking right along and it would appear that the majority of the players are doing well. Just last night I dropped in on my local Indian casino and after looking at what had come earlier in the shoe, I decided on NOR's S40M2 play and pulled out a very nice (and easy) +10. I was just kind of "wasting time" and had not really planned to be there but the wife had free play so when I saw what that shoe was doing, I jumped in. Hard to pass up something showing serious NOR signs to play. MVS
  17. It would appear that the online casinos have kind of standardized on a slightly oversized card at this time. Not nearly as large as the original "Clown Cards" that we used to see, but something about half that size, although still slightly larger than a standard deck of cards. MVS
  18. Absolutely 100% correct. One can learn a lot about "the cards" and the game from dealing shoe after shoe and playing each hand CORRECTLY in your own time frame. This is the way you learn the "WHY" of what you are betting. When dealing out the game and recording your play, ask yourself WHY you are about to make that wager. If you don't know the answer then STOP and track it down! Eventually every wager you make will have a reason. If you write notes in the margin as you practice, it will help even more on "down the line" as you play. It's also an excellent way to get completely up to speed on the rules of the game as you'll be the player AND the dealer! MVS
  19. Pando, Thanks for the report. Excellent play. I really miss taking the high speed boat from Kowloon over to Macau for a full day of play. MVS
  20. I tried to sign up for Neteller some time back and was told I wasn't allowed because of my geographic location. Eventually I'll find something that will work better than a base credit card. MVS
  21. Kachatz1, I'm glad you brought that up. I'm not a big fan of any of the "bonus" offers from online casinos. In fact, I believe they are to be avoided at all costs, literally! Toss in the fact that most onine casinos won't accept baccarat or table game play to satisfy the requirements of the bonus offer, it makes declining the bonus a no-brainer. As usual, READ the details of any bonus offer and if they insist, tell them you do NOT want the bonus. Period. We play online to beat the baccarat game, not to try to get "free" money from a hugely biased "bonus" offer. So, avoid the bonus offer and tell your casino representative that you do not want it when you're discussing initial buy-in money. It's just not worth it for the baccarat player while online. MVS
  22. All, To paraphrase from some older messages...... Online banking with the casinos is an exercise that some won't want to deal with. Although those of us in the Colonies only have one or two casinos to play in with real money, it can be done. What you may not like is the increadible amount of information you're going to have to provide in order to either deposit or take out, ANY of your money. It's all in the name of international money laundering and online security. If you are not comfortable faxing or emailing a copy of your credit card to somebody in Curacao or San Juan or some other place "off shore", you'll be out of luck. What I did to solve this problem was to apply for a bland credit card with a $500 credit limit and use THAT card to fund the account. If the casino you're dealing with decides to go rogue and take everybody's credit cards with them, you're only out $500 instead of everything you own in your "real" credit card account. Also be aware that most credit cards do NOT accept gambling sites as payees. What will happen is some sort of cash advance on the card to initially fund your online account. For some reason this appears to work most times. Probably because the credit card company makes LOTS of money on cash advances so they aren't very picky about those. Be sure and ask to be reimbursed for those outrageous "cash advance" fees from the casino you're signing up with! They want your business. They will credit your account. You may need to offer up copies of a drivers license, utility bill or even a passport! DO YOUR HOMEWORK and decide if this is a worthwhile risk to you, personally. That's pretty much the basics for now. And as always, be sure and READ, READ, READ the signup documentation and then READ it again, especially the banking parts. It's your money. Make sure you know where it is! When you get up enough to recover your initial deposit, make a withdrawl and then you won't feel so bad should the online casino go away in the future. Besides, after that, you're working with "their" money! MVS
  23. Griff, The quick and dirty answer is "no". It does not come into play as a baccarat player. “W2-Gs are not required for winnings from table games such as blackjack, craps, pai gow, baccarat, and roulette, regardless of the amount.†However, with that said, one is SUPPOSED to report ALL income (including gambling) on their 1040, but obviously most do not. If your wife hits a decent slot jackpot, I can assure you when they pay her, they will also hand her a 1099-G if the amount is over $1200. For the rest of us, take the money and don't even worry about it until you're pulling $5000 a day, every day, from the tables. Heck, $5000 a week, spread across a few casinos is WAY under the radar. MVS
  24. Gentlemen, I have mentioned in an earlier post about remaining civil and getting back to BetPhoenix. Evidently this hint was lost on some. So, with the Administrative tools available to me, and a very intimate knowledge of "how stuff works", it was a mere trifle to do some research and the "numbers" bear out the prevailing thoughts. This type of behavior will not be tolerated and I would suggest that we get back to the BetPhoenix discussion. If anyone wishes to continue in the raging tantrum that is "baccaratguy vs the world", please continue it over at baccaratlabs where it is in full swing. Me? I intend to exit both discussions at my earliest convenience. MVS
