  1. Chief, I'm thinking that a whole lot of crisis management can be avoided with a single message basically explaining those three betting plays. BaS40, BaOTB4L and S40M1. As I'm "late to the party" so to speak, I've just recently gotten up to speed on S40M1 as opposed to what I was running S40 with. I think it would help "overall". MVS
  2. All, Well, now that I'm on the S40M1 kick, I had to go through some of my usual testing routines, to include BetPhoenix for a real time test. Actually this was originally supposed to just be a quick run of S40M1 to test the iPad and "Puffin" browser as the standard "Safari" browser won't do Adobe Flash and that's what runs on the BetPhoenix live table games. Once I got the "Puffin" browser installed, the Flash graphics come right up. Test one worked and that's all I'll be using the Puffin browser for, online baccarat! The second test was to run S40M1 again and although I do see the logic in leaving the OTR run after 4 IAR, I just don't get a good feeling about it, especially when BetPhoenix has a tendency to really drop some decent runs in there. Not so much on the oppostites, but they can be streaky night after night. Without further adieu, tonight's BPH shoes from about an hour and a half ago! Perhaps some of you were even on it. Nothing was defined here between stopping the runs at 4 or continuing on as they evened out so. I probably should have pushed up the wagers on the long run earlier, but even at $10, I'm playing it for real and I always move up after winning five in a row, not four. Notice that there were only FOUR ONES in that entire shoe. I got a dropped connection prior to the last hand which is why it ends at 53. MVS
  3. Hamster, Hopefully by now you're starting to see the "problem" with this type of play, especially counting on a positive Player shoe to bring home the bacon. Several people have already commented on where this is eventually going to take you. I think you may have just been given a glimpse of the future and used up your "Get Out of Jail" card. Seriously, this most probably will not end up well. With that said, I do honestely wish you all the luck you can muster. MVS
  4. Topstep, A very true message for sure. We are there to take money from the casino. Your head needs to be 100% in the game and trying to juggle a popularity contest with managing a few columns of numbers is not my cup of tea. I'm not in the casino for entertainment or casual banter with the other players. I will always be civil but when another player gets a bit too chummy for my taste, I'll mention it to them. After all, it's my money out there and I'm there for a reason. You posted up a good message for everyone to review. MVS
  5. All, OK, the S40M1 bug has bitten me. Being a long time admirer of the S40 play since Ellis brought it up a few years ago, I find this "update" of the play intriguing and with that preamble, here's my first attempt to play it using a previously posted shoe from Quizzical in another thread. The arrows on the left side show where the "restart" comes in after the losing OTR wager. Instead of merely glossing over the threads on this, tonight I went in and read them all, sat down and put pen to paper in a serious attempt to make sure I've got this one down. There's something about the way it's developing that's making me look twice at it. So, I'm open to comments and corrections (most likely) on this short play. MVS
  6. Viola! That's the part I was missing! NOW it makes a lot more sense when I read about it. MVS
  7. Kramden, I'm not sure why you keep posting these kinds of questions here in the public area, but that's your choice. If I saw that at the table, I would immediately jump in with OTB4L. Look at the count. Look at the lack of 1's. Look at the two's. Either of the Fx's beats this. S40/Mx would work too. This particular start is showing a lot of neutral, so go with what you've got. I'm trying to figure out why you keep posting up these questions here instead of in the more appropriate areas? MVS (just my two cents worth)
  8. Keith, Just to make sure I'm looking at this correctly, are we talking P11 or can we also use P21 or P31, etc? Does the sequence have to preceed the B with a "singleton" P? MVS
  9. Chief, OK, this is the thing I'm just not seeing. Why must the highest count move upwards? MVS (slightly behind the rest of the class)
  10. Ruebel, I'll assume you mean how to upload a bac shoe that you've played. First off, scan the play card to your computer. If you don't have a scanner, forget the rest or mail it to friend who does have one. Once you have the scanned file, upload it to whatever photo hosting site you use. (SmugMug, Google, Webhost, etc). Or, upload it to your personal area here. When composing a new message to describe the play on the card, insert the file from either your own personal area on the forum or insert the graphic as a link to your photo being held off site at one of the previously mentioned style of hosting. If you'll look at the icons on the top of the composing page, you'll see one that says "Insert Image". That's the one you want. Inserting photos into forum messages throws a lot of people the first time they try it as the whole process is kind of new, but after a few, it becomes very fast and easy. Personally, I prefer the "off site" hosting option as it's usually free and you can post the same photo to any number of sites. This particular graphic is held "off site" and is merely linked to this spot. MVS
  11. All, OK, this is hopefully what most of the new members are asking for as the originals that were on the forum were lost in the Great Server Crash of 2013. If this is NOT what we're looking for, please let me know and I'll see if I can track down the elusive six samples!! MVS Sample Shoe 1. Sample Shoe 2. Sample Shoe 3. Sample Shoe 4. Sample Shoe 5. Sample Shoe 6.
  12. All, OK, I can't stand it any longer. I will scan the appropriate pages from my NOR manual of the six sample shoes, and get them posted up later tonight once the computer get's some free time. They will post in this thread as almost all new people eventually show up here anyway! MVS
  13. Ellis, OK, I think I may have missed a turn somewhere and this statement has me slightly baffled. BaS40 is ONLY for shoes that have high 1's. Therefore, you would ONLY play BaS40 in mode 3 (betting your secondary prog that 3s stay 3.) (straight down) Either I don't understand BaS40 or I don't see where the 3's stay 3. Can I get an explanation on this to move me along? I thought I had it under control but can't get this picture just right. Thanks. MVS
  14. Modnar, Thanks for the excellent report from the "real world". I didn't realize that the Hollywood Hard Rock had the $10 tables (like Immokalee to the west). Good information to know the next time I'm on that side of the state. Also, thanks for posting up the shoes as I can add them to the working compilation and I'll have something to run this afternoon. MVS
  15. Pipecub, Like a few others have already said. If you want to test out your speed and style of play, open an online account where you can actually play and start there with the play money on the LIVE dealer tables only. Do NOT practice using the RNG or computer games. Yes it will be slow. Yes, it may become boring but more importantly, PLAY IT FOR REAL. There is no sense in testing "live" and making outrageous wagers in practice that you would never make in real life. See if you can beat the shoe. The amount of money to wager will be the amount you will play for real when you hit the casino. Make your practice time REALLY count. What you'll be looking to gain is how your "flow" of the game goes and can you do all the calculations and manipulation required for the method you're playing. Once again, practice it just like you'll play it. Don't cheat yourself and run a Martingale out to 12 places just because they may allow it online. Practice for real, every time. It is important! I believe Black Orchid has been mentioned. That's a good one with a nice studio interface. Several other online casinos use their studio rebranded for themselves. As you search and find good LIVE studio baccarat sites, you'll soon find that they all eventually use about the same three or four "major" studios for their games. The exception is DublinBet which uses its own live casino feed. Keep your scorecards and keep your records. This is real practice and those are real shoes. Very valuable, especially to review and for reference later on. MVS
  16. Canada? Really? Anyway, once you correct the link you posted to www dot betonline dot com, it brings up an online casino based out of Panama. As I attempt to at least test most casinos I've haven't actually been to, I signed up. Got an immedaite call from customer service offering me some serious bonuses and once I got my authorization email saying I was a valid user, I went to log in and it all came to a crashing halt as every page I hit brings up the always popular "404". This is not a good start. Tried to log on from another computer. Nope, still dead in the water. OK, so this initial test didn't go well. Maybe I'll attempt to test their online live game, assuming they have one, later tonight. MVS
  17. I haven't been on a lot of boats but the few that I did get aboard didn't have baccarat at all. Which is probably why I don't do the boats much. MVS
  18. Ah yes. We're slowly coming back "full circle" to the tried and true (and trusty) S40. I've used it since I first saw it posted here and realized it was a gem. For the longest time it was my "fall back" system play when I was out of ideas. The utter simplicity of it is what makes it a great play for a large number of people. Nailing down the correct "mode", as it were, will be the icing on the cake! MVS
  19. Cub, Still on the fence, eh? You'll find that once you start winning, your thought process may change. All that crap you read and hear about living the "high life" on your winnings is mostly an illusion and the money will simply go back into your gambling account and continue to grow as you play. You may have started out playing on $10 tables but with the bankroll growing, there will come the time when your base wager will now be $100. Continue to win and that base wager will increase with your confidence and experience. Sure, you'll use some of the "profits" to buy the occasional "toy" but you won't be throwing money around like a drunken sailor in Hong Kong. A quiet and confident winner always feels better than a loud and obnoxious gambler at the table. What you will probably do is start thinking about paying off bills and especially any outstanding credit cards. Do that and the extra cash then becomes a real bonus for sure. Basically, forget the wild playboy thing (well, most of it) and use those winnings to get your life ready for "the second half" of the game. MVS
  20. Chief, Hey! That's a nice recap for sure and it makes sense, especially if you understand the background and "thought process" that went into NOR. Thanks. MVS
  21. OK, one more time. Currently you are limited to perhaps two online venues for US players. (Excluding New Jersey). BetPhoenix dot AG and Sportsbetting dot AG These are the only two that I have found where you can actually make a deposit and play a LIVE game. You also can play RNG games, but why would you? Also, be prepared to supply an inordinate amount of private information to these casinos the first time you withdraw your winnings. It has to do with international money laundering and all that. Online gambling, especially with these companies based outside of the US and offshore have been considered suspect for a long, long time. You must do your homework and convince yourself that what you are buying into is something you can deal with. You can play both "free" and "real money" on the same tables at the same time. This is how a lot of people "test" to make sure it's all one game and not one for free and one for money. Run it in real time on multiple computers to make sure YOU'RE convinced it's some place you want to send your money in for a deposit. Online casinos have a pretty dedicated group of people who like them and people who despise them. I would say that you should do your own testing and make your own decision on which ones you wish to play with. It's your money. Do your homework!!! MVS BetPhoenix Sportsbetting
  22. Rodel808, You may have to wait more than an hour for somebody to respond to your questions! People do log in at all hours of the day and night but there is no "operator on duty" here. Anyway, it appears you do have the Modes under control. In Mode 3 you'll go OTR one time. In Mode 2 you'll go OTR two times. MVS
