Hello,

I am thrilled to join this forum.

If you're the kind that takes playing baccarat seriously, you've probably asked yourself (or other baccarat aficionados) whether there really is a strategy to win at baccarat. While some gamblers will be quick to say that there is nothing of the sort, there are in fact, several ways to increase your odds of winning at baccarat. In a general sort of way, it's best to keep in mind the saying, "prevention is the best cure" - though we're talking of your wallet's health here - as there are a few things you must learn to avoid so as to win at baccarat, and keep your pockets fat and healthy.

However we must first dispel some misconceptions commonly thought to give greater odds to win at baccarat.

The myth of patterns and card counting

Try observing baccarat players in casinos - you'll notice that many of them keep jotting down notes on the results of each hand on special scorecards. These scorecards are allowed and provided by the casino, of course. Writing down the results of a hand is called "chasing" where players look out for a particular pattern.

Unfortunately for these people, well, to put it simply, there is no pattern to look out for. It doesn't matter if the chaser is a mathematician, physicist, chemist, or even a code breaker for the CIA, a shoe that uses eight randomly shuffled decks of cards does not yield a pattern. Besides, casinos wouldn't be so keen into allowing and distributing special scorecards for jotting down notes if it really meant increasing the odds of a person to win at baccarat.

Card counting, on the other hand, involves predicting the possibilities of what cards or hand comes out off the shoe based on the cards already dealt. While this technique is effective at other card games, it is effectively rendered utterly useless in baccarat. Other card games let you raise or change your bet in mid-game, but in baccarat, this is not the case. So that means you've already made a bet before you can count the cards, leaving you to only use card counting to predict whether you lose your bet or not and not be able to do anything about it.

Trying to beat the odds

It may sound ridiculously simple, but the key to getting the best bet to win at baccarat is to always bet with the banker - as baccarat operates on the same principle as a toss of a coin, and any game of chance often favors the banker, giving you a slight short-term advantage over the house. Remember though, that winning at baccarat is a short-term deal. The house always wins in the long run so keep as much of your winnings as you can and do not chase losses.

You may want to try other betting strategies for variety's sake, but this is the best way to beat the odds. Just keep in mind the technique, keep your wits about you, bank your winnings, and you're bound to win at baccarat and enjoy this fascinating card game.

Now go and hit the road and see what you can win from the online baccarat games industry.

P.S: I have created a site of my own to promote Play2Win Casino.

Since my site is brand new I am desperately looking for some quality link/banner exchanges.

I recently added a forum to make it more interactive.

If anyone is interested to exchange links and can help out please drop me a pm.

Also, I wish to have a review of my site and I would love to know what you think of it.

Untill then, thanks and nice to meet you all.

You know, I think I'll leave this one up so that others might get the hint that they really should READ a lot of this forum before coming in here and writing material like this.

"Always bet Banker" ????

Uh, I don't think so.

Hello Madog-

Are you the blackjack " Machine Gun Kelly" some of us met at the Blackjack seminar in Las Vegas? If so, I was very impressed with your BJ playing style/ approach to the game of BJ .. If not, oh well.....

As to the old maxim "AlwaysBetBanker" for maximum chance to win, there have been countless books, articles, statistical studies, and just plain old empirical evidence which suggests that very premise...

They all have to do with a loosely-defined sequence of a large number of plays associated with TheLongRun, The definition of duration and frequency for which have surely been debated since the inception of the game..

And likely smarter minds than us average players here on this forum would vote resoundingly in favor of the LongRun's imminent effect on the outcome of a LARGE number of decisions proving just that...

But just what is the LongRun(?), and how about the many, many ShortRuns of actual casino play whose decisions result in a decided Player advantage being, in fact, resulting in the greater gain?

My actual results over last 4 days play in Biloxi MS, played at 4 different casinos , resulted in the following:

Hard Rock. 7 shoes, played at various times over the last 4 days, not all played start to finish. 241 Players. 220 Bankers

Beau Rivage. 4 shoes, played partly Sunday am and partly Monday pm, again not 100% 96 Players. 109 Bankers

IP Casino. 6 shoes played over 3 of the 4 days, all but one completely start to finish. 212 Players. 191 Bankers

Isle Casino. 2 shoes played 100% start to finish Monday, consecutively 74 Players. 81 Bankers

So...... Over almost 23 hours of play ( all times of the day and night...Ouch!!!). 623 Players. 601 Bankers

Is this the Long Run?

Hardly...

Did I bet every hand?

NO.

If I had bet $100 all Player, I would have won $62,300 and lost $60,100... $2,200 Net for 23 hours of work

If I had bet $100 all Banker, I would have won $60,100, less 5% commission paid out on all Banker winning bets of $3005.00, and lost another $62,300 on all Player bets for a net take of $(5,205.00)... Yikes, I would have paid them for the privilege of spending 23 hours on this endeavor $226.30 per hour!

In point of fact, I made almost $4000 after all Banker commission and tips to Dealers, cocktail waitresses, et. al...

My point, Madog is simple...

Forget the conventional wisdom.

Anything can, and DOES happen in TheShortTerm

I am NOT disputing the mathematics of the game played over the Long Term!!!

It's just this...

I do NOT bet only Banker or Player, whether a few plays, part of a shoe, or a bunch of shoes spread out over many times of the day/ different casinos

Why?

Because of this forum and what I have learned. You seem like a " quick study" , and capable of doing even better!

All the best to you...and good luck to all!!
