My First 2 "A-HAAAAA" Moments

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys i started a few days ago ive read the manual cover to cover then read the entire NOR Forum public and Private...re-read the manual last night then i just woke up a few hours ago and reread it again and i had 2 revelations...everyone said everytime you read the manual you will pick up more and more!!! They are so right..i learned never make a 2 bet till you have won a 1 bet starting out...BRILLIANT makes perfect sense i made a trip log for the casinos to keep track of my winnings and i also read on thge forum i think Ellis said it that when you win 100 units go up to the next unit again makes perfect sense....2nd thing i learned if you dont know what mode you are in you dont have to bet..something Norm A (RIP) used to say when in doubt sit it out... Now if i can just learn table selection i'll feel alot better...Is Ellis Nostradamus he can jump in the shoe at Hand 3 and go from there HOW UNCLE ELLIS!!!! What is the secret what am i missing!! i havent been able to identify a table until 8-12 plays deep!!

Hi Mike,

FWIW, IMHO if you can afford to wait 12 hands or so, great.

If playing alone and must bet, bet P and B simultaneously (if allowed) the first 4 hands. If you see 2-2 use OTB4L if you see chop start S40M1 then adjust as needed. If all 4 are same, SS bet until a loss then revert to S40M1 until additional data becomes evident.

Are you seeing 1's and 2's? S40...2's and 3's OTB4L etc....

That's worked for me in the past.

Regards,

Glenn

He gave you good advice, and I chose in a similar fashion....I like his S40M1 idea. I usually have a good idea after 4 hands. Try this little drill, write out all the possible outcomes for the first 4 hands and decide what they tell you. That is a big part of how I chose, along with the table history and what that color shoe has done in the past (last time dealt).

An aha moment for me is this.

What is most common in every shoe?

A pattern. "What kind of pattern, you say?"

What is one opposite and one repeat?

OTB4L

What is a pattern of all opposites?

S40/Chop

What is a pattern of all repeats?

TB4L/FF

Now we have NOR. Match that with the correct money management for losing because that is the only thing we can control is the amount we lose.

I look at events in groups of 4 and how often they happen in relation to how often they mathematically SHOULD happen in that group of four. If it's happening More than it should that's a trend. AND if it's happening LESS, well that's a trend also.

I started noticing that as well. What do you look to do when the trend changes. You first notice you start to lose money. You either have the bank roll to push through it or most common thing to do is hit your predetermined stop loss. Of course this ties in with money management.
