    Hi MVS,

I am not sure if you know about the Strategic Baccarat (SBI)

    All,

Haven't checked in here for a while but decided to take another look to see if any of the "old gang" was still here and amazingly there are several!   Well done.

Anyway, as things have progressed in the electronic world, I just assumed most shoes for testing something quickly were in some sort of YouTube video.   Lots of junk out there so I thought I would ask up in anyone would be interested in posting up live shoes that they've played to help to get a varied cross section of regional casinos.

Most of my play is online (live dealer only, of course) but every now and then I hit the local Indian casino for table play when they aren't too crowded.

So, is anyone interested in this or is it too "old school" for the current crop of players?

My game is still going well from WAY back in the beginning of Beat The Casino and wanted to continue to possibly help others with live shoes to work with.

I can't post up daily like I used to do as other things have somehow managed to fill my hours, but I somehow manage to ALWAYS get at least one practice (or live) shoe in a day.

Those daily small wins add up during the year for sure.

    Hi MVS,

can't remember if you left before or after  SBI was introduced . Look under Tools.

You may need a separate  password or your BTC password may work. If it doesn't work, call Keith and he will set you up. With SBI , you can store your own shoes for further use or access hundreds of shoes that other users have been uploaded.  These shoes can be played back hand by hand to practise using SBI . \if you need more clarification  let me know.

If you search for "Strategic Baccarat" or SBI  there are tons of references which may help

    Hi Wendel.

I think most player’s will agree with me  but as with everything there are different opinions in what way to approach this method and then there is how YOU would play this method.( basically it is each to their own)

That said what I meant “by a game within a game”  is... This is not my main approach to my game I am playing a FTS method of all the main goto approaches S40, OTB4L,RD1,SS etc. Now whilst waiting for certain triggers if you track both PLAYER & BANKER separately for multi’s and singles you can find betting opportunities that fit in to sequences that you might miss when waiting for certain trigger points, which will enable you pick up some extra units you might otherwise of missed.

    Hi  Lou,

Thank you for all your effort on this reply. It is far more than I expected.(but highly appreciated)

At the moment one of my favorite plays is multi's v singles for playing P & B as separates, I think it would be good to introduce any newbies to the concept if the are unaware of it.

    Obviously,

    Singles

Multi's  & What are they doing?

    Second Liners

    MC

    LC

    SS

    Weak side

Not as a system but a game within a game, some thing that they should keep a look out for.

    Hi Lou,

I am very interested in how you are playing "multi's v singles for playing P & B as separates'.

Could you please give a brief explanation on how you are playing it.

i have been playing with using the previous event(s) on each side to try and predict what will happen

after an opposite. i.e. will the current event remain a single or become a multiple ?

    Thanks.

  4.  I have had to correct the dealer a few times in my favor when I was the only bettor on the winning side,

but one time , I was sitting out a hand when the dealer made a mistake in favour of the players,

I corrected her and all the players lost their bets. That was one time when I should have.kept my mouth shut.

Luckily , the losing players understood the situation and did not mind losing fairly (too much) ..

Personally, I would prefer to lose a hand fairly over winning on a dealer error, but I just hate losing on

    a dealer error.(just barely).

The problem with a stop loss of -8 and a stop win at +10 is that you are swinging for the fences when a base hit up the middle would work (Pardon the baseball lingo).  It is good that you realize that you can't play complete shoes with any one system, so why do it.  If you know that the pulse of the shoe is changing, you are going to blow your winnings, or pile on the losing trying to figure out which method of play would best fit the shoe so why do it?  The more you realize that this game is played best when you get your +2, +3 and get out, and with a more realistic stop loss of -4 or -5 your could make that up in no time.  For me, it is more palatable to walk away with a lower stop loss. In my mind, a -10 is insurmountable.  Another problem is trying to get to +10.  If you are in a shoe where nothing is working for you and you have +10 on the brain there is a good chance you could lose your whole bankroll getting to +10 when you were hovering around +4 or 5 the entire shoe.  If you want to use one of Ellis' teaching use this one when he introduced MDB, "If you want to win big, you bet big with a smaller, more realistic win goal".   Go to SFP and play the Parx shoe that I put in.  Try to get to +10 in that shoe, then see how many times you can get to +1, +2 or +3.

    Hi McVince,

You said it far better than I. I was really trying to get stop wins into the discussion, and the nor example was the first thing that came to mind.

Your treatment of the topic was great and probably well suited to Bigchips.

    Thank you.

Maybe I am losing hope  or the casinos got smarter.  I don't know.   I have been playing this game for a very long time now, since the 1990's.  I have played every system Ellis has sold.  Even 4D.  Even MDB+.    You name it.  Every system   From 90s  up to his current mvd  and anti mvd    And even his newest  anb (advanced net betting)    And his most recent,  a week old,  S3 net betting.  They do work in the right shoes but,  not always the entire shoe.  Sometimes you play from begining of a shoe do well  sometimes not   Sometimes you enter at play 10, 20 or mid shoe do well,  sometimes you don't.  Sometimes triggers of any system work and sometimes they don't.   Sometimes delays on triggers work, sometimes they don't.   Sometimes various progs work, sometimes not.  Sometimes flat bets work, sometimes not.  Sometimes sap works, sometimes not.  Rsap  same thing.   So, I think I have opened and tried every door.  No more doors left to open.   Even betting certain strong signal/trigger bets work and sometimes not.  Sometimes follow shoe works, someetimes not.  Yes,  I have had many winning shoes and great days but,  at the end of each year I am NEVER ahead.  And I do use very strict discipline  and leave a table right away when I hit my stop loss.    Have tried many different stop losses, -3, -5, -6, -10.,etc     In the end,  each year, never ahead  and I have played MANY shoes and so many different casinos,  playing  weekly  many shoes weekly.   So, you can say zuma has been done over many times.   Even zuma testing,  same thing, in the end,  down not up even with very strict discipline and tight stop losses.  Online casinos same thing,   After so long in the end.....    hand shuffled or machine.   Pre-shuffled or not.  6 deck or 8 deck.  Same.     Help!   I need somebody. Help!  Not just anybody. H-E-L-P!!!!!!!!   To me there are no more solutions.  I don't want to give up  because I have invested so many years into this  and walking away after all those years would be such a waste.  Thank you everyone for listening.   Hopefully someone here knows something I don't  and maybe I can still turn this around and finally start  punishing these casino bastards back.

    Hi Bigchips,

I saw no mention of stop wins in this post. I hope you are using realistic stop wins and getting out while you are ahead most of the time. As far as I know, it is very difficult to play complete shoes with any system.

For example, in NOR, Ellis recommends a stop loss of -8 and a stop win of +10 (proceed beyond 10 carefully.and quit if you go below 10). I think that he recognizes that there are "sweet spots" in most  shoes for most systems and when they end. It is best to just leave and keep your profits.

Part of the way I play baccarat is to split and record the shoe into Player and Banker sides.

I find I get a lot useful information if I do that. Now I also track another factor.

Here is a shoe I played yesterday

    B12522213113121114441122221551

One thing I see in this shoe is that the character of the shoe, and therefore the way to play it, changes a number of times.

The way I see this shoe is like this

    B125222 / 1311312111 / 444 / 1122221 / 551

If you add up the hands in the sections of the shoe as I have split it, you see that the hands in each section is fairly consistent

I see 14 hands for the first section, 15 for the second, 12 for the third, 11 for the 4th, and 11 for the fifth.

What I am saying is that I find it useful to plot the changes like this as is signals that a change in the shoe is imminent

    That can only be useful

    best regards

    Pando

    Hi Pando,

How do you decide in real time where to put the /:s  ?

Do you just use count 14 hands and then play for a change in character at the end of the current event  ?

    Thanks

    Wendel,

I can't speak for all online casinos but for the popular ones like Bet Phoenix and 5Dimes they are live.  The test for that is to see if there is a way to chat with the dealer.  Start a chat with the dealer and see if you get a response.  IF you get a response watch the dealer's face to see if he/she has read  it and responded.  No response, no play.  Again, the only two foreign sites that I have been to are those two and they are live.   In NJ, the Golden Nugget has live dealers and I interact with all of them.  They are all female dealers and I think I told everyone one of them I love them and asked them to marry me.

That will work for me .

    Thanks

When you are playing "live dealer" online Baccarat, can you tell for sure whether the game you are seeing is a being dealt by a LIVE dealer or a recording of a live dealer dealing the game ?

I have only looked at live dealer on line casino's very briefly, but when I did I could see no indication as to the date or time of day, Actually, I only played the demo's , so they may well have been taped

i have wondered for a while if I had missed something but I am not interested enough to go through the hoops of opening an online account, because the game moves too fast for me and I was not having a very good experience..

Some body please set my mind at ease.

    Thanks

    Thanks for all the replies.

Brad, if you are winning consistently now, why don't u consider playing full time.

What is your criteria to consider playing full time.

    Hi Jeremy.

I think that one should think long and hard before they give up their "day Job" to play

professional baccarat. It is the day job that will finance you if the going gets tough. It is the day job

that may or may not provide fringe benefits such as extended healthcare.\, not to mention a pension plan.

If a player has won the bankroll required to play professionally (for the sake of discussion, $5000)

he or she does not have to play a   lot @ $100+  to buy some toys and perhaps the financial security to quit his day job.

Hi BacPlayer. There is an excellent thread by PapaJoe that helped me understand SAP very well. PapaJoe and some other skilled players spent a lot of time researching SAP and developed a document on how they think is best to play SAP. I'm not advocating or critiquing the bet selections that papajoe has document,  but his thread and bet selection rules should help your understanding out a bunch. Katchez's 5D book uses 4D and MDB bets, however, it's pretty deep and might not be the best starting point. 5D is a great work by Kevin but you'll want to understand SAP and MDB before trying to understand 5D.

In a nutshell...a very incomplete nutshell   SAP keeps track of the number of events in a shoe (1's, 2's, 3's 4+s). Example BP would be a confirmed 1 event for Banker. BBP would be a confirmed 2 event, BBBP is a confirmed banker 3 and BBBBBBBBBBP is a confirmed banker 4+. The 1234 events are weighted by a multiplier based on their expected occurance in a shoe and written down on a score sheet. You really have to look at the score sheet to understand (and it's not difficult).

1's are scored as 1 - Most common event in the shoe statistically (50% ish of the average events)

2's are scored as 2 - Next Most common event (25% ish of the average number of events in a shoe)

3's are scored as 4 - Next most common

4'+s are scored as 8 - Next most common

So when you keep this score, if 3's are the highest score in the shoe, 3's are the MC or Most common event. You could bet a 2 to go to a 3 or a 3 to stay a 3

Check out papajoes thread, it's an extensive subject but he has rules document for his bet selection and a sample score card that will put you well on your way!

RD1 - I've not been able to find a good post on the "rules" so if anyone knows of a good RD1 thread i'd appreciate seeing it too

CT70 supplied a RD1 manual if that helps. here is the link
