Any chance you can send the bootcamp manual to me BaccDJ126? It would be much appreciated, I'm still struggling with a few things.
Thank you
The NOR Bootcamp Manual is in the first post in the NOR Bootcamp Forum

You've got to read the forum. I'll do it for you this time:
E. Clifton Davis’ How to Make a Million Dollars in 10 Days Plan
Once you are winning 5 units or more per shoe – try this no risk plan:
Day 1: Play 10 shoes @ $5 units = wins $250 – this gives you 10 - $25 unit buy in.
Day 2: Play 10 shoes @ $25 units = wins $1,250 – this gives you 12.5 - $100 unit buy in.
Day 3: Play 10 shoes @ $100 units = wins $5,000 – this gives you 10 - $500 unit buy in.
Day 4: Play 10 shoes @ $500 units = wins $25,000 – this gives you 10 - $1,000 unit buy in.
Day 5: Play 10 shoes @ $1,000 units = wins $50,000 – this gives you 10 - $5,000 unit buy in.
Day 6-10: Play 40 shoes @ $5,000 units = wins $1,081,500
OK, this is an extremely aggressive approach I wrote about 20 years ago. The game was far easier then: So, for today's game ...
Change the word "Day" to "Level"
Drop Level 1 altogether - They don't have $5 tables anymore.
Change "10 shoes" to "40 shoes"
This will give you "40" units at each new buy-in level. That's more practical today.
Also, any time you falter too far you need to repeat the prior level.
Norm was somewhere in the middle of level 6.
While Norm's 1,2 loop was a very good way, in my opinion it was not the best way.
I think the prog within a prog is a more consistent way of achieving +5.
Recognize that when you always follow a 1 with a 2 (mandatory 2) you are effectively flat betting at 1.5 mathematically.
You know my thoughts about flat betting.
However, Norm was using SAP to correct when he got wrong footed - when to change from 1,2 to 2,1.
SAP IS a good application for flat betting - perhaps the only one.
Hi Ellis,
How many units are we using for a stop loss for the +5 system ?
Thanks

So someone please tell me where this is wrong.
If I wait for every potential banker 1 in a row in other words P11 and then bet 1 on player every time this occurs and only one bet on player. If it wins stop make 1 chip, and if it loses wait till the P11 pattern happens again how can I not have a 1.27% advantage since I am betting that banker 1 in a rows is the most common event in Baccarat?
K
This sounds like the "twist" (minus the 4D and the prog).

OK guys,
You walk into a casino with one table.
You see this on the toteboard:
b p b p b p
b p 0 p b p
b
or we can transcribe it as:
B321222
(obviously the zero is a tie--posting will not allow for a space for a single
So the question is, would you sit down and bet and what would the bets be?
Please answer me with your reasoning.
I wish to have as many answers as possible from everyone please, as I am still figuring something out. Consider me as a "newbie".
My first bet would be 1 banker. if banker won, I would look for the run of 2 iar's to continue and bet 1 banker again.
If banker lost I would bet 1 banker again, because I haven't seen what happens when player goes more than 2 iar.
It might be smarter to just watch the first bet or bet 0 one way or the other.
There, I think I am covered.

Can someone see any difference in SAP and tracking disparity in otb4l anf tbl really?
I played some baccaraat several years ago and don't recall noticing any unusual displays of hand strength. In the past year I have noticed this "phenomenon" and I have wondered if it was "orchestrated" by the casino to maintain a particular bias.

All,
OK, I can't stand it any longer.
I will scan the appropriate pages from my NOR manual of the six sample shoes, and get them posted up later tonight once the computer get's some free time.
They will post in this thread as almost all new people eventually show up here anyway!
MVS
Hi MVS & golfgirl,
There is a thread called NOR Sample Instructional Sample Games started by Keith 12-03-11
which contains the links to the 6 sample games imbedded in the first post. (i didn't check to see if they work)
I found the thread by searching for "sample games" or "instructional"
Hope this saves someone some work.
Wendel.

\Bluetri, you probably got the manual during the time the tape/s were lost. Even the video studio lost their master tape. Yes, if I luck out and someone has the tape/s I'll surely send ya a copy.Hi Ron,
I purchased my PBJ manual from BTC. Would it be possible for me to get a copy tape as well ? Provided of course that
that a copy of the tape is found.
Thanks

So far the safest solution to play!(by far)
And to eliminate the danger of all runs BUT what a shameful waste!!! I know this is all about the +5 concept and playing it safe but lets not let a good thing pass us by as Ellis just said ''You can't play Baccarat just betting against all runs. That won't work. ''.
Lets say you win your 1 OTR, WHY not stay on the run until it ends or make our next winning OTR bet a 2 unit bet and make the runs work for us as well.
Glad to see everyone back on board, keep up the good work.
Regards Lou.
I don't see any harm on staying OTR at least two 2 bets if the first OTR bet wins as in NOR S40 Mode2. If we win that one we have nothing to
lose by staying OTR betting one unit until the run ends. Then optionally , if we aren't at +5 by then ,we could bet 2 on the same side after the loss that ended the run(mini twist ?).

What is your bankroll?
I cannot possibly answer this question without knowing that and advising what I feel " prudent" accordingly...
In my standard NOR+/4D play, I still like the -8 unit stop loss and I pretty much let the winners " run", unless the shoe is turning and I feel it time to exit. My unit size is generally $25 to $50.
For TWIST plays, my unit size is higher, and I have never yet hit a point at which I fel I have to " stop"
-------- you do not have to play every opportunity...In a casino or area with lots of tables, there are literally 100+ " opportunities" a day to make the plays using U1D1.......in a place like Vegas, there are 1,000++ every day, if one wants to work at it...
-------- each time you " resolve" a sequence( meaning getting back to your M1,M2, M3 etc base level, or depending on the length of the sequence, even close to being resolved), it is EZ to start again using a new base unit level
-----------------move fom $25 to $50, or $50 to $100, or $200 to $25....there are even $10 and $15 tables here in Vegas...
Hope this helps...It is your bankroll + your table selection " abilities" + your tolerance for risk which must be factored into the equation to determine a proper answer...
I have maintained for many years that this is " work", not just a " guessing game"
Hi Kevin,
Normally, when there is a "Twist" bet and a NOR+ but to make ,
do you replace the NOR+ bet with the Twist Bet ?
add the 2 bets together ?
net bet the 2 bets ?
then use the outcome for the TWIST progression and the NOR+ progression ?
Or am I off in left field somewhere ?
Thanks in Advance.

Can we download the seminar and store it on our own computer after we buy it ?
I did not see away to download the last seminar(s) I bought.

I would pay my left pinky finger if I could use and trust an online live casino to play in. Does anybody have serious experience with Betphoenix? Does anyone know if this is a good place to go for us? Withdrawals, etc?
There have been some posts for Betphoenix. I think one says betphoenix.com and betphoenixcasino
are 2 different places.
Have you tried searching the baccarat forum(s) for betphoenix ?

I just played my first 2 (and only , so far EZBAC game) , I paid 5 units in commission by having to push
2 - 2 unit bets and one 1 unit bet. I think that EZ-bac is a distinct disadvantage to
NOR/NOR+ players who frequently make multiple unit bets .
I prefer to look at commission as a percentage of winnings as opposed to a percentage of bets placed.
Normally in 2 shoes , i might pay 1.5 units total. so winning 20 units and paying 1.5 units in commission , I am paying 7.5 % of winnings
compared to winning 20 units and paying 5.0 units in commission, I am paying 25 % of winnings
Even If you have a loss are still charged commission, so pushing multiple unit bets on certain bank wins just adds insult to injury.

How about a red and blue pen to go along with it.
And maybe a briefcase or leather portfolio to carry our scorecards and pencils. It would also be handy as a lap table
in case the the bac table is very crowded.

I have never done the email seminar before. If I pay, where do I go? I am a new NOR player and had GREAT success at the start. Coincidentally, the more I feel comfortable with the system, the more I am getting my clock cleaned. I anticipated losing money in the beginning but not as I am getting comfortable with the system. I am sure it is me. Is there anyone that is so comfortable with the system that I can email my play to them so they can show me how much of a dummy I am? lol
I suspect that your table selection or your system selection may be the problem. Perhaps when you started you picked your tables
more carefully. If you have been playing s40 or F , try replaying them from the scorecards with OTB4L (or Vice versa).
I have looked at my losing games and more often that not if I had played them strict OTB4L(which is how I usually practice). I would at least have done better, and usually won handily.

Does anybody know how to view the webinar on an iPad? Thank you.
Try using Puffin. It is a Free browser that you can download from Itunes. Viewing the webinar may require
a feature that native Apple Software doesn't support , but Puffin does support.
I can't remember which feature offhand.
Apparently Puffin worked for a previous BTC seminar
Good luck

Did anybody manage to save youngdave's contact info ?

I'm sure others will chime in.......Here's my two cents:
For Q's 1,2 and 3.
In general, it's best to wait til mid-shoe before jumping in so you can see from the tote board what system - if any - applies best. Lot's of 1's a few 2's use S40, 2's and some 3's use OTB4L, 4 iar and higher use F.
That being said, I rarely have the luxury of finding a game in progress with an empty seat and usually have to start at a table with a new shoe. For me personally, I wait at least the first 4 hands if possible (or bet the min allowed if only player) then start to bet NOR. What I've found is that 90% of the time starting with OTB4L is best since the OR count is still low. Watch the hands as they progress, if you see the OR count floating in the -3 to +3 range, stay OTB4L. If the OR count "breaks out of jail" in either direction by going 2 points away from the range (5), CONSIDER switching to the appropriate system only after your THIRD bet has lost. The third bet is the OTR bet that follows the trend at hand. So if you happen upon a PPP and the OR count is now -5 or less switch to F and conversely, if you get a PBP and OR is +5 or more, switch to S40.
I wrote consider switching because I've also seen many a shoe OR count break out and then come right back in range meaning had I just took the 3rd bet loss and stayed the course, the OTB4L would have had the best yield.
4. For me, the Modes are used in S40 and F. The way I play them is like this:
a. If you are in F or S40 system and you lose 2 bets, you go OTR for 1 bet (follow the current pattern). You just tried Mode 2 OTR (2 losses following the system your in then 1 OTR bet following the pattern). If that bet loses, then the next time you lose 2 bets, bet one more time in the system you're in (3 in-system bets = Mode 3) and then make bet 4 if needed (or skip if you prefer not to make a 4 unit bet) going OTR (following the current pattern) for one last bet. The third bet is your key - if you lose 2 bets in-system play but win the 3rd bet in OTR, stay in Mode 2. If you lose your third bet in Mode 2, switch to Mode 3 since the third in-system bet would have won.
FWIW - I always make the first OTR bet a paper bet to see how the shoe MAY go. I say MAY because sometimes the shoe tells you what to do and sometimes the shoe plays out flip flopping between M2 and M3 and you seem to lose every time. But that's what your Loss Limit of 8 units are for (if you're already showing a profit, I'd make it a strict rule to never make a bet that would put you in the negative). Some shoes just can't be beat and you're better off deciding with your feet.
Nice Post.

hey wendel, how good is boris and could you please recommend which version to buy.do they have a phone app?i would be interested in their clumping program.thanks ruebel
i practice everyday.
Hi Reubel,
I think that it gives a fairly realistic representation of casino blackjack.
The cards are shuffled according to casino practice. I think that with the version I own to induce severe clumping you could run it
unattended for a few hours. The program will simulate players coming in and leaving and playing various strategies.
I am just interested in practising my play decisions in a realistic environment and not clumping in particular, so I haven't looked into that
very far.
I own the advanced edition and find it more than adequate for my purposes. I haven't really looked into the other
options.
That is about all I can recommend.
I do not want to seem as though I am promoting this software, so I will ask that further enquiries be made by private message.
Probably should have replied to Peter by PM in the first place.
Wendel
you could send the developer an e-mail, and see what he suggests to simulate clumping in particular.

Website looks pretty old, is it trustworthy? and is the guy still alive?
Peter
Hi Peter,
The last time I corresponded with him was in Sept this year. The website has never been very up to date.
He has a successful career outside of blackjack and software.
The last purchase I made from the website was in 2011 using Paypal. As i recall, I received what i was entitled to
promptly. Any questions or concerns I had about the product have been attended to promptly.
Send him an e-mail , and see if he responds.
Wendel.

One other thing I am considering trying is to just flat bet the table minimum on the same side as the majority of players,
or the second best player at the table(you being the first best) until the nature of the table becomes clearer.
-
Thanks Wendell,
Where can I download this version?
May have to save up some currency to get the BorisBJ Software for simulation purposes...
Peter
He used to have a trial edition that could readily be downloaded for free , but I can't find it anymore on the website.
I did find the various editions that are for sale at prices from 27.95 US up.
I have the Advanced edition .
here is the link to the various versions available . The evaluation option does not seem to work

HI Glenn,
I have a tough time starting a shoe from the top as well. I sit out as many hands as I can until I think I can see what is going
on.
Having said that I usually lean toward OTB4L until I see a clearer indication. Reviewing several shoes from your casino , might give you some idea
of the character of the first column at that casino in general at the time you play.
I also identify the tables and game # on my scorecard (luckily , I only have 2 tables) in case these tables have different card preps.
