Is it possible to make $1,000 a day?

Given a large enough bankroll and some patience, it is absolutely possible.  Keep in mind, the cards don't know what the chips bet are.  With $100 units, that is only 10 units per day.   If you are playing $500 units, that is only +2 units a day.  Not sure if anyone has posted here about it, but there is a progression called Oscar's grind that may work with that.  I'm very close to releasing an update on Stats for Profits and I've been doing a lot of experimentation around concepts such as this.

  2. Great summary of the trip, Keith.  I just finished entering all of the shoes into StatsForProfits. Keith and I played more than 25 shoes together at the Palms, plus a handful at other casinos.  I had a two day head start on Keith so on the day he arrived, I played up 1 down 2 with a 3 unit minimum.  I won 65 units in the first 3 shoes we played together.  The rest of the trip had similar results and we netted more than 100 units over 3 days at the Palms, even after a 50 unit loss on an idea we decided to test at the wrong time.  By the way, the image Keith posted is an newer scorecard view in development for the Stats For Profits interface.  I am expecting a few more updates to the system in the next week and we will put all the new features online for everyone to use at once.

  3. Hi Guys,

Sorry I haven't been around much, I had to tend to my other businesses for a while.  I just contracted with the programmer for some upgrades to the Stats for Profits system in order to upgrade the 2-2-1 options and setup comparisons between different systems.  Within the next one to two weeks we will be able to run simulations on 2-2-1 with Player vs banker, opposites vs repeats and tb4l vs otb4l.  There are several threads in the Premium forums regarding 221 and of course that includes full access to the Stats for Profits system!

I waited a couple of days to reply to Brads honesty, being transparent and open in him sharing not only about his loss, but also his honesty about being too tired.

It's been said, doing what we do in casinos, "is a very lonely life".    So pause for a moment and think about that statement.

Why is it lonely?  Simply because it feels like no one cares.  I went to Vegas a few years back for a month.  Yes, I won the entire time I was there.  I went by myself purposely to not have any distractions.  The last night there, I looked at my winnings, and I literally cried myself to sleep.  Why?  Because I had no one there that cared, and no one to share it with.  I blamed no one but myself for that.  I came back home with one of the emptiest feelings inside me I have ever known.

As members of BTC, and as human beings.......we need to care......and genuinely care about each other.  Be there to celebrate our wins, and be there even more to console, learn, and stand with each other in our losses.  I know the shame and loneliness deep inside when a loss takes place, and you don't tell anyone, which only makes the darkness become deeper inside.

So I commend you highly Brad, for having the guts to share your loss.  No, it wasn't the end of the world, but it hurts none the less.

A winner cares when he loses.  A winner cares when he wins.  A loser doesn't care if he loses and a loser doesn't care if he wins.

Brad, you are a WINNER.......because you care, and that makes you the biggest winner of all.

So what say you my brothers?  Do you care?

Good Stuff Avion.  I agree.  I feel for everyone, as I too have made the mistake of playing tired, losing bankrolls due to foolish bets, etc.  One of the key functions of StatsForProfits is to also track bet units.  I did this as part of my initial design to reinforce the psychology factor of large bets and dealing with losses, etc.

  5. The Stats for Profits system specifically analyzes this, and reports back on a shoe by shoe basis, casino by casino basis, or any number of metrics.  We can see the results on random computer generated data as well as live user entered data.  Coming soon, we will have the ability to enter shoes real time as they are being played which will be a big help for our online players.

@cho I recommend you look at the videos for the stats for profits system and consider joining as a premium member.

A couple of members asked me to post this again so here it is. I was not able to attach the illustration file, so feel free to email me and I'll send it to you.

Best way to determine OR count very quickly is as follows. (by the way do not count any ties)

Step 1:Count only the top row of circles and subtract 1. This is your "opposites" total. This is a positive number.Lets say it's 12.

Step 2:Now count all the circles below the top row. This is your "repeats" total. This is a negative number. Lets say it's -18.

Step 3: So now we net them out. We have a positive 12 for opposites and a negative 18 for repeats. So our count is -6.

To count the top row even faster, I recommend counting from right to left, count 2 columns at a time, starting with the second column, however count the lower rows from left to right. This should not take more that 15 to 20 seconds once you know how to do it.

    Good Luck

Good info.  This is something I commonly will do while deciding which table to sit at, although after taking a seat I try to build the scorecard on my own papers from the first hand of the shoe as quickly as possible and often before I make my 2nd bet.

In regards to the file attachment, please contact me if you need some help with this.  You should be able to add attachments.

  7. Brett,

Since you are a premium member, you can access to downloads section where you will see some videos for 4D.  We don't have a 4D specific forum and you can't search for 4D because the search function requires at least 3 letters.  I don't personally play 4D, but several other people here do.  From what I've heard, the 5D manual might be what you are looking for.  Kevin is the master when it comes to that.
