  1. On the Contents page, fourth line reads "Betting Negative a Progression on Opposites" should probably read "Betting a Negative Progression on Opposites"
  2. Oh my. If only it was really this easy! Selling drugs or prostitution comes to mind.
  3. You can only deduct expenses if you declare your job is a professional gambler and then you have to use a Schedule C to declare winnings, losses and expenses. If you're a hobbiest then you can only declare losses up to the amount of your winnings (i.e. NO LOSSES) and then you better have some really serious documentation.
  4. No that is not right. You must LEGALLY pay taxes on ANY income regardless of the source. If you're not a moral and honest person, well the decision to declare your winnings is up to you but any income from any source is required by law to be declared. Are you maybe asking "Does the casino collect taxes on winnings" and they most of the time do not.
  5. In the US, all income is taxable no matter how it is obtained and no matter what the amount. I think that is how the feds finally got Al Capone, tax evasion. Even if you win $2.40 on a $2.00 horse bet, you are required by law to declare the $0.40. If you declare yourself a "Professional Gambler" you prepare a Schedule C tax form showing your income and expenses. And you better have sufficient documentation to back up EVERYTHING. If you just hit a big win at the tables one night, I think you declare the money as misc. income on Schedule A. DISCLAIMER: I am not a tax professional nor an accountant. I've just dreamed enough that I really looked into it. Edited to Add: Yes, it would be very nice to see his method.
  6. Just to be sure, I went back and READ every message in this thread. This particular method has not been released yet.
  7. Same as my experience at SportBet (same feed as BlackOrchid). If you really want you can bet both sides at the same time and then you only end up paying commission if Banker wins.
  8. Ham, I think the general feeling is that going for a bonus deposit ties up your money for such an extended period of time, it's not worth it. Bonus's used to be much better back in the early day of online poker but not today.
  9. http://www.sportbet.com/ is where I play and yes, it is the same "feed" as Black Orchid.
  10. Actual SB Shoes Formated for BTC.pdf Here are some Sportsbet.com shoes with a mechanical up 1 down 1 net betting scheme plus all the counts.
  11. I play at SportsBet.com and I believe it is the 4-Dimes Casino. They use 6 deck shoes, have two shoes (red and black/blue), the cards are not pre-shuffled, they do a typical "wash" with new cards but I've only seen new cards brought in one time. While the dealer is dealing shoe A, another dealer will come by and shuffle shoe B. Shuffle breaks the deck into stacks and then shuffles different stacks together. My general feeling right now is that MDB+ does not work well in these shoes. I'll post a few examples later.
  12. Subscription site to all things BTC http://www.e-junkie.com/beatthecasino/
  13. Saw them live about 1974 or 1975. I think they opened with "Eli's Coming". Still grooving to their music today.
  14. Wasn't this from (what I thought) was Ellis's first published system. I think there was System 0, System 1, System 2 and maybe even System 3(?). From back in the early '90's?
  15. I would like to see more discussion of the 36 Skip Bet methodology. I've used this about a half dozen times and won with it 4 times. I like this and would really like to see more discussion.
  16. Thanks gman, couple of questions please. Shouldn't bet 12 have been 1 unit? Bet 35 was a one unit bet that the run of 4 would become a run of 5 because hands 5 - 9 were a run of 5? Same for bet 44, betting that run of 4 could go to 5? SteveO
  17. Ditto! (Thanks). The above posts have been very, very helpful.
  18. Mike I'm not trying to argue here but like Bobby, I was under the impression that the MDB +5 methodology was supposed to work at any table, no selection necessary. I don't have many choices where I live, 2 hours one-way to a casino with a couple of tables and then online. Actually choosing a table is not an option. Waiting for mid-shoe is an option but as I stated above, I and still not strong on picking the best system to play even after waiting half a shoe.
