Attention NOR Seminar attendees

Recommended Posts

Hello, Ellis, Keith, BTC members,

Good luck to you all this wknd. I am sure we are looking fwd to the seminar video for those who cannot travel this wknd!

For those traveling and playing with Ellis, Keith this wknd - I think it would be a tremendous benefit for BTC members if you took detailed notes on shoes played at the casino in the live games.

I would suggest focusing on the observations, biases - and decision-making judgments - of Ellis, Keith - as to why P/B or size of bets selected. Although we know the rule set for F2/3, OTB4L, S40, we also know that in live games, specific adjustments and deviations may be called for.

What I think is important is fundamentally to determine and learn from the heuristics or decision-making biases from Ellis' tremendous experience base.

Best of luck - and look fwd to hearing trip details, shoe details, etc! Have fun and a great learning experience - wish I could be there also!

Regards,

Well said, Daytrader,

I only attended two seminars in the 90's and they were well worth the admission fee. I hope this comes off without a hitch and the live games can be detailed to NOR specific play and any options that may appear.

If the video/audio recording of the seminar are made available to paid lifetime members at a reasonable fee I am certain that would be acceptable to most members.

I wish all the participants well. I hope you come away from it with a better approach to the game.

Looking forward to the recording, and Ellis/Keith's observations as well as all that were able to attend.

I hope this is not Ellis' last hurrah as mentioned ,as I would like to see at least one live play and seminar in a smoke free casino perhaps in Canada or any other smoke free environments'. Any suggestions ?

My best to all attendee’s. Tom

In a word (or two) it went very well. There is an excellent report complete with shoes and photographs on another site. I hope to have a link or whatever for you shortly. BTW I also listened to quite a bit of the audio and it came out very good except after I took the mic off. But we can computer enhance that. The vidio was good. Keith is busy enhancing everything but we should have something for you guys very shortly.

I'll give you a little preview. After the sem I played 2 shoes at the local casino. Then a few of us went to AC where I played 4 more. Played right by the book I won all 6 - 2 different casinos, 4 different tables. Averaged about 9 = 54 or 55 units w/o ever betting more than 3 and only staying in the shoe a short while - 20-30 plays. But one of the guys shadowed my every play very close and has all the numbers as well as the shoes or at least 5 of them. I'll direct you to his blog as soon as I know how to direct you. Just got back a while ago and need some sleep but all went well AFTER the seminar but not so great BEFORE the seminar as you'll shortly see.

Oh, 2 of the AC games were the new commissionless Bac. Won both. It makes no difference to me.

Stakes? I was playing $25 in PA and $20 in AC.

OK I think I got it already. Here is a copy of the email I got back:

Ellis - thanks much ... I'm writing up a more full trip report right now, but for now, thefollowing URL goes to my main home page on the blog site: http://imspirit.wordpress.com (I've posted the PA and AC results so far, and a more complete tripreport should be ready tonight or tomorrow.) Let me know if you have any problems with the link.Dave

Ellis, Keith,

Looking forward to the play by play decision-making though processes, and betting strategies.

To others who attended, it would be interesting to read about your own play-by-play betting and P/B selection choices - compared to Ellis' decisions. How close or far apart from the master baccarat player's decisions?

Also look fwd to the seminar DVD when completed! Thanks, Ellis, for your teaching and time and effort!

I spent hours on what I thought was a very complete trip report only to have a sudden thunder storm knock the power out before I could hit the send button. Rats! But now I'm glad that happened. My new found friend (let's leave his actual name out) wrote a truly complete report. It is far better than anything I could write. Check it out at:

Sure Daytrader we could do some play by plays on those shoes posted in my friends report. Good idea!

They were pretty cut and dry and every play was by the book but maybe it's time we looked at some simple shoes rather than only pick the toughest. It's sort of more to real life.

But check out the above URL or whatever you call it. Link? He just recently posted his final report.
