Golfgirl007 Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 Hi all, can you please tell me the advantages and disadvantages of playing NOR on an online casino such as Black Orchid, William Hill or Dublinbet as examples? I have never tried it before. Quote
Guest Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 Hi all, can you please tell me the advantages and disadvantages of playing NOR on an online casino such as Black Orchid, William Hill or Dublinbet as examples? I have never tried it before.Neither have I so I'll let the more experievced here answer. Some do quite well. But getting back to your prior question on switching.Look, switching is NOT a good thing. But it is sometimes a necessary evil. No, I didn't switch in that shoe of yours. You only switch when one of the other systems would clearly have been doing better. In other words - to correct a system choice error. The idea is to select the right system in the first place. I only end up switching about once in 10 shoes.High 1's or high 1's and 2s = S40High 2s or high 2s and 3s = OTB4LHigh 3+s with low 2s = S40M1Strong Side = F3Normal1's = 1 every 4 plays2s = 1 every 8 plays3s = 1 every 16 plays4s = 1 every 32 plays5s = 1 per shoe6s = 1 every 2 shoes 7s = 1 every 4 shoes 8s = 1 every 8 shoes and so forthThat's called the 50% ruleTo know which system to play you need to know which events each system likes.More important - which events they DON'T likeS40 doesn't like 3+sOTB4L doesn't like 4+sS40M1 doesn't like 2sF2 doesn't like 2s on the weak sideF3 doesn't like 3s on the weak sideWhen you get good at this the tote board tells you which system to play and which mode to play it in at a glance! When it doesn't, you don't play that table.Factory preshuffled cards? That's a whole different story. Our 3 +5 systems are the best answer to that. Meanwhile, stay away from Vegas. Quote
Sakana Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 GolfGirl007,I'm glad you brought up Online Casinos.I would think the best way to put them to use is just to PRACTICE NOR.It might not be such a good idea to play for real money as onlinecasinos have been known to be painfully slow returning one'sfunds, in addition to current Internet Gambling legality issues in theStates and so on. However, practicing each component of NOR until it becomes second naturewould make one more efficient at the tables in brick-and-mortar casinos.Opinions welcomed. 1 Quote

It is very helpful to use as a training tool. Also, GG, I would ONLY use live dealer sites for this practice. RNG is not what you will face in the casino and I feel it best to practice "real world" conditions whenever posible. I use Black Orchid as a practice tool, myself. Also, I do have a real money account with Betphoenix. Quote
Golfgirl007 Posted April 21, 2014 Author Report Posted April 21, 2014 I agree with all of you. Thank you for your sound advice. Quote
Golfgirl007 Posted April 21, 2014 Author Report Posted April 21, 2014 Thank you for taking the time to explain all that to me. I appreciate you. What do you mean by "Stay away form Vegas?". Quote
Fedda Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 Thank you for taking the time to explain all that to me. I appreciate you. What do you mean by "Stay away form Vegas?".In Vegas they use factory preshuffled cards which means that we can't use our biggest advantage in a casino (table selection). Quote
Guest Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 In Vegas they use factory preshuffled cards which means that we can't use our biggest advantage in a casino (table selection).Right, preshuffled cards aren't actually shuffled at all. They are fixed. The biases are artificially removed. NOR is not designed for that. NOR is a bias system. Preshuffled is the casino's answer to NOR. But, our answer to preshuffled is +5. The +5 systems do not need or use biases. In fact they work best in non biased shoes. That is what I will be teaching in the new forum. Quote
trbfla Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 The lack of being able to use table in my opinion is what makes 4d so very powerful... Perhaps we need to revisit 4d with the +5 Quote I yell "winner winner chicken dinner on all naturals"
Golfgirl007 Posted April 21, 2014 Author Report Posted April 21, 2014 Ellis, can you clarify all this for me? Regarding preshuffled cards: the only system I have learned is NOR. Are you saying the NOR system will not work or are you saying as long as you leave after +5 units that NOR WILL work against a preshuffled deck? My casino shuffles them in a machine between shoes. Is this the same or different from factorys preshufffeling them before they deliver them to the casinos because the factorys havea chance to remove the biases?? I appologize for this rookie question in advance. Quote

I am eager to learn more and I agree it is fair to pay for this new knowledge.ThanksJim Quote
