Getting mugged when going to the casino

Hi guys just thought I would start a bit of a fun thread (or not if its happened to you) where people can share their opinions and stories about this

I have heard that Las Vegas can be real dangerous in parts

I have no idea as never been there but wondering if some of the more experienced players here may have some stories about this

Obviously the most common way to play at the casino is with cash and everybody loves to be payed cash and if you are a consistent winner or even a one off then people could watch and see an opportunity

Not only Las Vegas of course but other parts of the world too

I can say that Perth Australia the casino there is Crown and they have increased security patrols now and lighting but there is still one section where there is like a small park next to a parking lot and its a place you have to watch yourself as people have been known to sit off and wait for guys walking thru or drunk or coming back to their cars.

A few people have ended up in hospital over the years that I have heard about.

Maybe Ellis has a story he could share (or 2) over his time in this business?

Well, Brad, I live in a third world country, we pay almost all in cash, so I am used to watch over my shoulder all the time, not just at the casino.

The key is to be alert. Is not that easy to be mugged if you are not distracted.

Yes it is something I don't have to worry about so much here but I think its something we have to think about. No point to win money or turn up to play with a lot of $$ and end up losing it or in hospital or dead?

You could learn a martial art or some self defence...Then turn the tables on the would be mugger,kick his robbing arse and maybe steal his shoes or something...Send him running in his bare feet!

that's funny lou,i have a friend that's one of the top guy's in martial arts,8 black belts,10th nd 8th degree etc.got the same birthday as Ellis.looks at me one day after we were beating the crap out of each other and said all that black belt is all BS,i guess cause i don't have one,but could keep up with them.he use to always say in these situations carry 2 wallets.now if your cornered,there's no way out,that's different.now your ready
