  1. Witchy, check to see if your casino has switched to factory preshuffled cards. It's easy to tell. If new cards start in 8 single deck boxes, they are NOT preshuffled. If they start out in an 8 deck bundle they ARE factory preshuffled. Or you can simply ask. They must tell you.

We can beat factory preshuffled but we don't do as well. If it is factory preshuffled, complain. And get other players to complain. YOU are the customers. Casinos MUST listen to their customers, especially if the customers are organized.

That is how we got the casinos to drop the "must play every hand" rule. The players DO have a voice and can be a force to be reckoned with. Be nice but tell them what you want - standard cards, not factory preshuffled. It's bad enough to trust casinos but who in their right mind would trust a factory?

    Hi Ellis,

From what i found out from the pit bosses, my local casino RWS actually have a shuffle room where new cards are shuffled before they release it to the tables. Then at the tables they have yet another machine attached to shuffle the cards after a shoe is completed.

So a new shoe begins with a full 8 deck bundle in a clear plastic box which they take out from the machine at the table and then players can choose to cut the cards, then burn cards accordingly.

After a shoe is completed, they will keep the cards back into the machine by the side of the table and then the machine will bring up another 8 deck bundle in a clear plastic box for the next new shoe.

I noticed that sometimes after a blue deck, a red deck is used. However most of the time, the deck colors may be the same for 3 shoes (e.g 3 blue decks) then another color deck (red deck) will appear.

I dunno whether these affects the shoe results.

  2. I'm sure somebody has more of it but from memory it started this way:

    P271111122221

If I had it to do over again I should have stuck with OTB4L all the way. I don't know what possessed me to get off of OTB4L. A little tired I guess, after doing the seminar all day. I'm not used to standing for 6 minutes let alone 6 hours.

We sorta back doored that shoe and did OK but I should have done a whole lot better.

I'm still very suspicious of that shoe. The random odds against it are astronomical. But if you were trying to design a shoe nobody could beat.......

The table was dead when we got there. Then 10 players sit down to play with 40 more watching from the isle. They pulled that shoe out of the shuffle machine. If you were the pit boss ........

That shoe started with 7 out of 8 Repeats, then 6 Opposites, then OROROROR0. Come on, give me a break! There is a limit to coincidence.

You should have seen the Pit Boss's face when all 10 of us beat it!

Then, at another casino which shall remain nameless, I literally Killed a BJ table playing head to head. I only lost ONE hand the whole first 2 deck shoe. Then they brought in a new dealer who we immediately caught red handed dealing seconds every hand. She would look at the top 2 cards and then deal me the worst one and herself the best one every single card dealt. She kept blatantly doing this even after she knew we had caught her. Jeez, if you are going to hire a mechanic, at least hire one with a brain.

All the credit for catching her goes to Keith. He could see exactly what she was doing from his angle standing in the isle. From the table angle I never saw a thing. Again, never play when you are not totally alert. And some people think casinos never cheat. Ha!

No, we didn't complain. We simply left that casino - for good!

Reminds me of the time we were playing team BJ in the Bahamas and all 8 teams won every shoe. I caught the dealer doing a fake shuffle. The cards end up exacly as they were before the shuffle.

So I said to the Pit Boss in a meek voice: "Your dealer is cheating!"

He says: "So what! You're cheating too and you cheat better than he does!" "Oh, OK, now at least we know where everybody stands."

Yep, they paid us. But no, they wouldn't give us a ride home! Ha, they just can't take a joke!

    What a life!

Thanks Ellis for posting the shoe. I noticed that my local casino has lots of similar shoe recently and it is hard to beat sometimes. The modes also changed too frequently.

  3. (Originally posted in a separate thread - it belongs in this thread)

The NOR seminar in Vegas this weekend was a huge success. There were more

than 50 students in attendance with bac experience ranging from seasoned vets

to rookies who never played the game. All aspects of the NOR manual were

covered by Ellis who did his usual excellent job. Following the Sat. session we

went to Luxor to play a shoe with many of the students gathered around. We

could not have been faced with a more challenging shoe. After an opening 2,

there was a straight run of 7, immediately followed by a zig-zag run of 7, and

then immediatly followed by a run of 4 twos (8 plays). After being down 4

early, we rallied to pull out a +5. Ellis said such a combination of events was

"impossible". It truly showed the power of NOR. It was great meeting all the

new guys (and gal). I hope you all become contributing members here at BTC.

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

Is it possible to post the shoe here or the private forum? I would like to have a go at it for practice purpose.

  4. Ha! Totally agree.. If I do win, just mere pure luck~

Well, do hope to learn to win consistently from our Master...

In fact, I'm waiting patiently for fellow member to demo me 'live' to see the power of ya method...

    Cheers~

Lol Knightbac so you still having doubts? I will tell you that NOR is definitely a worthwhile investment. Myself and other new members had earned back the course fee in our first trip! You have to believe to learn. ^_^

Hope to play with you at RWS soon!

  5. I would like to show my support for Core and to verify that he is really one of the better players among us newbies playing NOR! I went to join him in Genting Malaysia for 4 days and playing together with him was a really good experience! We shared tips and discussed on shoes played and made some improvements too. I won RM2400 too using NOR systems at the tables.

What i wanna say is that the chips are real and i personally witnessed Core's winnings! From a nearly empty box to it being full was impressive! All the way Core! Keep burning the tables!

  6. Hi Witchy! Yes, I think that is best. Unlike S40, when you win an OTB4L OTR bet in Mode 2, the run has already gone 5. So if you now bet against the run, you are really betting it won't go 9. That is usually a pretty safe bet.

Only if the shoe is favoring runs of 6 or more thus far would you consider staying OTR for 2 bets in Mode 2. And that is very rare. In Mode 3, always stay OTR for only one bet. We don't usually see enough 10 in a rows to worry about. BUT, if you DO at the casino you play, you need to take that into consideration.

So was the "difference" in your shoes positive or negative?

Have been testing out the new OTR method for OTB4L at casino and more units were hit! I see an improvement on hit rate. Thanks Ellis for the revision!

  7. OK guys, this is the place to ask your questions re the new NOR Manual. Who's first?

I'm first Ellis! Lol i read through the manual 2 times and caught on with the part that you mentioned has been revised.

Now for OTB4L we go OTR for only 1 time only regardless that we are playing mode 2? That changes things alot!

I replayed some of my shoes and it did made a difference! Can you confirm that?

  8. Hi Kelvin! That is easy! Since you have had no OTR bets yet at the point of the 5, after losing the 1,2, you bet ONE unit OTR on the 4th circle of the 5. You win and since you are in Mode 2 you make a 2nd bet of 1 unit OTR. You win! Now you have exhausted your 2 Mode 2 OTR bets so you go back to Opposites and bet 1 unit and win yet again. So Witchy, is that how you handled the 5?

Kelvin, while we usually start S40 in Mode 3, a shoe this choppy should make us consider attempting Mode 2.

Also, if you are trying to keep your play 2 Hi, Mode 2 can do that but Mode 3 will always incur 3 bets.

Recognize that Mode 3 would also have beat this shoe - just not quite as much as Mode 2.

Thank you Ellis for answering Kelvin's question. Yes you are right i used mode 2 for the 5 in a row as i took an early OTR instead of mode 3. I placed 1 unit OTR to test if it hits. Since it does i followed it again. So i never had to place 3 units bet.

  9. hi witchygal,i noticed your chop shoes for 20 plays, then falls apart then comes back, when you have around 15 plays left,i been doing revers, looking for a bad table, goes bad for 20 plays, everyone bails except me another player, then i see first 1,an 3's,an more,i start playing, sometimes 30 ,40 play later it falls apart, the other day it would go 4-7 plays,1's,then next time it would go 3 plays, then back to 4 or more, back to 1's,it became a joke, except it did go a 4 then 1's then 7 in a row then back to 1's in the middle,we did good on that shoe, sap seems to keep you alert, but you had to stop when you saw 2's at the end because now you get everything, unperdicable, this guy kept playing he was so happy, after he lost 4-5 bets,he stopped, still ahead,by then our table was full again.get ready for another slaughter.it could have been 1's and 2's,sap would have me there, just wondering if the shuffler or factory card prep has something to do with this,i'm seeing this a lot

    Hi Moneybac,

Thanks for sharing your experiences. So you mean that you will do the reverse way? Enter a shoe when it is difficult and wait till it changes for the better? I rather enter at the easy part and make my units first. Like Ellis said, i have to get to those tables faster, win and get out! =)

  10. Thanks for the support core and right Witchy, it would be next year. Don't know if we can put this all together in time for the Chinese New Year. Keith can't come because he can't take that much time off from work.

The other option is to instead do a webinar seminar on Skype. We've used Skype before but not for a full fledged formal seminar. But I'm investigating that idea put forth by one of our most prominent members. In theory and costwise it is a good idea but I don't know if it would have that same personal touch. But maybe that it just a question of proper advertising and seminar design. People can ask questions on Skype too. How do you guys feel about that?

Sure Ellis, you can do a webinar too if you like.

The great thing about you being here is that we will get to learn from the best and play some sessions with you! I guess you would like to visit our casinos too don't you? We do have nice casinos here =)

  11. Wow! Thanks Ellis for the best understanding yet of the Mode 2 and Mode 3's. I've been struggling to understand these and this is the clearest explanations I've seen yet to help me understand the modes and how to apply them. I've attempted to create this example and attach it here. I hope I have it right.

Wow tjfiles, glad i'm not the only one trying to understand the modes. Thank you for posting the shoe!

Do you wanna try playing this? I am still waiting for Ellis's answer. =)

  12. Good Grief, you need to be finding these tables sooner! I'm glad we got the +22 thing straightened out though. But what about core???

I'll take a stab at it but probably wait until morning. As a diabetic, I'm smarter in the morning and it is all down hill after that.

Hmmm, I wonder if Singaporians would go to a seminar in the morning???

BTW, is that how you say it? "Singaporians"? Geez, that would be a bad thing to get wrong.

Yes, taken in total they ARE trendless. It is the same here. But taken individually and at different times of the day, given enough tables, you can nearly always find a strong bias. When you can't, you shouldn't play. Tip, you usually find your strongest bias with brand new cards and with very old cards.

You seem to be doing very well finding biases. Now we've got to get you finding them quicker.

BTW, please, all of you, don't take it personal when I criticize your play or any other aspect of your game. Your play may be near perfect and even better than most but I still criticize you. That is because I want each and every one of you to be the very best you can be. We all have different potential but we all have potential.

I am learning something new everyday! Yes Ellis if i am not sure i will not play. This is risk management by my ownself.

It is only with your comments and criticism that we will improve at the game! Besides, you are the best person to learn from! =)
