PeterUK
Many thanks for this... I did try google myself but needed the right search parameters. Now if someone asks me at the Casino what does that mean on the Tote Screen I can give them an answer rather than an 'I don't know...' more professional ;-)Thanks,Peter
PeterUK
Apart from the Player, Banker wins section of the Tote Boards, what other section(s) on the board are useful/somewhat helpful for the NOR Player? or should we just enjoy the fancy blue, red and green Christmas lights displaying patterns on screen?Peter
Guest
Peter, recognize that modern tote boards are designed to take advantage of the strange beliefs of Asian Players. I watched the design of tote boards change with the advent of Asian Players who think Bac is an Asian game. Actually, like BJ, it is French.Naturals and noting how much either side won by is purely beside the point. But especially Asiansand a few others who copy their lead are intrigued by these meaningless numbers. The casinos are more than happy to oblige them and design the boards to accommodate their weaknesses. We use tote boards to enter the right games in progress with the right system. BUT, once in the game, our score card design is far more important than the tote board.Once in the game, there is little reason to look at the tote board again.Yes, the closeness of B vs P might be interesting from an OTB4L standpointbut that info is right there on your score card and, unlike the tote board, you know your score card is right. This is why it is important to keep your card clear and legible without error. Also, don't take shortcuts. Play in columns of 20. Eventually you will learn to use the col of 20 informationto your advantage and be able to gauge the quality of the shoe thusly. At least at first, keep an OR count on your card. This is FAR more important info than anything on the tote board. The casinos know this. That is why it is NOT on the tote board.
PeterUK
Thanks Ellis,Grouping the scorecard into columns of 20 helps us to apply Frequency of Occurrence / statistical information to our advantage... to discern biases in the shoe...Peter

PeterUK
Thank NormA,I was kind of looking for this a couple of months back and it has finally come out as an iOS app...! A very useful aid for practicing to notice patterns on a Tote Board and when it's best to choose and deploy the right NOR system from a distance.E.g. what does a TT, F, Streak and S40, etc shoe look like on a Tote Board...?Peter
