Sport Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 i'll be staying in ac 30th thru the 1st.one of my favorite hotels is on the chopping block the ac hilton, had some real good times there.the news said there official closing date is jan 13,2014.that being said,i wonder if the gaming commission will look the other way so that creditors will get a boost on their monies owed to them.they owe state.fed and even owe the power company over 1millon bucks.their big complaint is that new jersey legalized on line gaming.maybe this will be a help to other hotels. Ice Cool Sam Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 seriously why should this thread be here and why doesn't it get removed by the admin. Quote
MVSeahog Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 (edited) Perhaps we have a few players who may use the Hilton in AC and in that case, this is good information to have.As it was originally posted on Dec 24th and the first reply was yours, three weeks later, I'm thinking most players read the information, took what they needed from it and moved on.Pretty simple when you think about it.If there was more detailed information that might be needed, they knew whom to ask.MVS (or I could just move it to the "Hilton Closing" thread.) Guest Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 It doesn't have to be all work and no play. Even though this is an educational forum, that doesn't mean we can't have normal human conversation. And you never know when such conversation might spark an idea or even just an interesting thought. Who plays AC might be interesting to someone looking for somebody to play with there. Why did this popular casino close? Were the tables there too easy? Or maybe more likely, their tables were too hard. That starts a conversation on casino tampering. If they are all playing the same exact way why does one prosper while another goes broke???e All on the same ocean front. I've been saying for years that all casinos are not the same. They all present different challenges and different opportunities. Sometimes you can learn interesting stuff just listening to idle conversation. Quote
Sport Posted January 12, 2014 Author Report Posted January 12, 2014 Follow up on my atlantic city trip.I have been on some roll.on the 30th of december @ the hilton i looked for a bac table and there wasn't a chair available.i walked around the single dice table was packed and so were the 2 roulette tables.i met up with my wife and sat next to her on an old $1.25 quarter machine and after 2 rolls hit a $1200 jack pot.I cashed in and found the only $25 blackjack table.1st base was open and bought in for $500{hey guys this is what ellis has been preaching, you must be able to read and adapt to whatever the casino conditions are.At 5 pm you couldn't buy a seat at the bac tables, this might have been a problem for some but i have read and purchased everything that ellis has written on blackjack. You must come to a casino with a pocket full of weapons, you can't always pick you favorite game}Ok with this being said by 6.30 pm i was up $2000 playing bj.I colored up and checked in @ the golden nugget. At 1.30 am walked up to an empty bac pit and i mean empty no one playing.they had the card shuffle machine and i played 2 shoes and both shoes started streaky with player bias{$50 table}.I suspected the 2nd shoe to be similar to the first and it was{walked with $1175}The next day went back over to the hilton and picked up $600 playing at a smokey, crowded bac table.on new years eve played $25 bj @ 1st base and for 2 hours up and down and was lucky to walk with $125.Played bac @ the golden nugget on new years morning and picked up a quick $475.you guys can add,do the numbers.thanks ellis the next time we meet the steak and lobster and drinks are me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sport Posted January 12, 2014 Author Report Posted January 12, 2014 Just my opinion,I think they gambled and took a chance to go after an undesired clientel.Just for example, wearing your pants below your knees isn't cool.i saw a lot of people just looking and not spending but making sure they were getting their drinks for free. Also their location, being the last casino on the boardwalk probably doesn't help.Just to far to walk to.It's a real shame, their dealers were the friendly best.At the golden nugget after talking to the bac dealers and bj dealers, this may be a great gambling year for us.READ MY LIPS, NO MORE CASINO PAID MEDICAL.AS OF THE 1ST OF JANUARY IF YOU WANT MEDICAL PAY FOR IT YOURSELF!THIS IS WHAT THEY WERE TOLD.Many dealers now are hoping you win money, so that you will tip accordingly. They are coming right out and telling you this.I am hoping for a great year, good luck to all! kramden Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 Well maybe I'll take a midnite run down to AC this week. (the power of suggestion) Quote
Ice Cool Sam Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 GentsYou know why it's not OK.Because a beginner like me who has paid upfront and now is try to learn through the hard way of sifting through the information that is scattered through the forums every one unrelated post can be time consuming and painful. You see you guys don't understand this.yes it's not all about work Ellis but maybe if there was a better manual written then I could play around as well. What many of you don't realize is that this forum is a very painful way of learning for a beginner. When you want to join they say PEOPLE (?????) will help you.I have posted two very important questions for 48 hours and NOT ONE of those people is willing to help. That's why.At least if this is NOR forum lets keep it like that so it's easier for poor soul like me who hasn't find anything useful in the manual and now is trying to sift through all the posts hoping there might be something useful to learn.thank you Quote

The NOR manual is a fount of information. READ IT! I mean READ IT. Don't just skim it and look at the pictures. READ IT.It will take several readings. After you read it, study it. If you haven't found anything useful you have not read it. Until you read it properly, please do me and many other members a favor and stop your incessant whining. Read it and study itand then come back with some intelligent questions, if that is a possibility for you. Ellis has said many times that there are no stupid questions. There are, however, stupid people. Quote

It contains no mistakes and it contains everything you need to know about NOR. However, I can't do a thing about your reading comprehension. That is a problem with the whole cell phone generation. You haven't discovered books.Out of thousands of students you are the most negative I've ever had whether in college math classes or on this forum. You might consider that the problem is likely not me or the members or the forum or our manuals. In less than a month of membership you've managed to criticize all four. When do you find time to study. I'm sure you have been hearing these same criticisms your whole adult life.It took more than 30 years to collect all the information in NOR. Now you want to understand everything within a month - Christmas month to boot in spite of your reading comprehension affiction. Quote

Guest Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 Guys, on a different subject, after a week in survival mode here with no electricity or water my computer went down with a virus and I was unable to empty my PM inbox. I fixed the virus and emptied my inbox so if you sent me a PM meanwhile, and received no reply, please resend it. No this has nothing to do with Sam - that was just coincidental. Oh, that reminds me, Keith will be out and unreachable for a while. Quote
