modnar
This week I have been in Miami on a business trip. As part of my NORlearning process, I needed to see the differences in the way the game is played here. So, Yesterday I went to Hard Rock Seminole Casino, in Hollywood, Fl . Here is what I saw. I arrived at 6pm, I found 6 tables of mini Bacc( 8 seats )on the cheap area. Min bet $10 / 15/ 25 .Max bet $ 2500. I did not go to the high roll tables. BTW my High roll bets always go to the NYSE,In Argentina, the bet spread is 20 times the min bet. Only at the full size table the bet spread is200 times the min bet. They play with 1 8deck shoe and while one is in play the other is been shuflled by a machine.I did not check if the shuffling settings were the same for the sets of cards( my mistake). They use an Horizontal Tote Board, very easy to read. They got 2 more sucker bets besides the tie.I did not even pay attention to that. You not have to be a genious, just watch the way people losing money on those bets. This may be obvious for you guys, but back home we just got ties as sucker bet. Another difference is that here the shoe stays on dealers hands , down there even in mid size tables the shoe is wandering around the table. I know this is not relevant, just a distraction in the game. Here the game is not that fast, with side bets and commision calculations I got plenty of time to study my card and the game at hand. Here are a few shoesTable 1P41411621B21221112311111B22311111251P13114 full shoe recordedSame table 3 and half hours laterP11111412422P2221122112121 Here they raise the min bet from $10 to 15 that somehow screwed my score cardB21121 Here I was tired and quitTable 2 played right after first shoeB121311112412B2331122312P111128123P22222 Full shoe recordedHere I took a break for a coffe and cinnamon roll. I NEVER DRINK AND PLAY.I analized my mistakes, a lot of them, but the best way to learn is from the bad choices you made in real world.BTW I bought 20 units $10 each and played in min tables, I am way too green in bacc to risk more. I went back to the same table2 and played againhere is the outcome around 1 hour later ( the dealer told me that it takes 45min to 1 hour to play a full shoe)B2131122211121P21214451B323111311211B21322 Full shoe recordedI am not explaining my game, not asking wich would the best way to do it.After my last game at table 1 and all mistakes made I collect 6 units (all comission paid and coffe break). Conclusion: It was my first real play on unchartered waters, I collect a lot of data to analize how to improve my game, and how to adjust my strategies to home conditions. The good thing is back home I got tables of min 2,5 US dollars bet, so I am about to complete my training right there. At 8 units stop loss I can afford it. When I joined BTC I made a $600 bet agains't the odds.( Everybody out there says there is no way to win in the long term) I already realized that I won that bet. All I got to do is master in the game and that will be my next Job. I live 15 minutes away from my closest casino.I can play a little,go back home, take a siesta (nap) and back to the tables any time I want. Thanks, Ellis. MVSeahog
Modnar, Thanks for the excellent report from the "real world". I didn't realize that the Hollywood Hard Rock had the $10 tables (like Immokalee to the west). Good information to know the next time I'm on that side of the state. Also, thanks for posting up the shoes as I can add them to the working compilation and I'll have something to run this afternoon. MVS Quote What's an MVSeahog? modnar
They changed that at 10.30 pm. they said it was friday night policy. the $10 min bet tables early were 2 ,on opposite sides of the alley. You can look the tote board of both tables sitting in one of them. The only thing I do not know (too much info for a rockie) is if they change the shuffling settings from shoe to shoe. I was a Mechanic, when you see a machine, there are always be a way to tamper it. For instance 90 % of casino surface is filled with slots, why? because there a a biggest money maker for the casino IMO
trbfla
Yes mod the tables are the classic in Hollywood definitely have different shuffle techniques or outcomes than the big hard rock next door. At least that's what I have found. The classics 10 dollar tables are great for learning on and getting your feet wet.
