Ok everybody, I'm attaching a dropbox link for my Bac Practice Spreadsheet 1.0.

A few notes on how to use it:

1) Anything that the user (you) needs to input is in a yellowish colored box, ANYTHING else ... don't touch or mess with it.

2) ctrl+r is the macro used to reset the board and load a new random shoe

3) I purposefully am uploading a copy that has a game already played so you folks can see the general layout. There is places for you to define what system you're using, the bet number (as a multiplier of the unit), comments/net betting boxes, and finally ... the player or banker selection box - which you just use the number 1 to select.

4) The shoe tracks the major 4D elements, and I'm working on getting the SAP count involved in later versions.

5) Bankroll is whatever the "buy in" is, and unit size is self explanatory.

6) DONT mess with the source data, OR THE RANDOM SHOE tabs ... (they're red for a reason).

7) The percentage number in the top right of the board is the win percentage

8) The 'record' tab is open ended, I placed it there b/c I like track my performance and decisions, and make a few notes on that shoe ... because once you run the macro, it erases the shoe and all your input data.

9) I am not a computer software programmer, so please spare me the critique and "you could have done it this way" stuff -- I'm an engineer, I use spreadsheets for a living - but I don't write code.

10) Have fun, and be honest, don't go back and change your bets after you lose :)

PS: I did work hard on this, feel free to tip me at my paypal: sshields82@gmail.com

As you can see from the sample game, S40 mode 2 worked for most the shoe, and i switched to TB4L near the end, however in real life I would have left the shoe by then.

Thanks,

Scott

Has anyone tried it? Does it work?

Hi,

I have played 1 shoe and it seems to work pretty well.

Are the shoes generated ? or are they actual shoes that have been compressed into a database ?

Thanks a bunch

Wendel

There is a tab that has 25,000 shoes. I can always add more ...and I've done about one hundred and have seen all the shoes types you'd expect to see. Thirteen in a row ...some with crazy chops...and so forth. So I just practice my money management and running the systems.

I'd love to input this into the database I just built.

That link works now. Are these the 250,000 shoes from Wizard of Odds?

Simulations

Before you go and waste your money with a betting system in the casinos, test it out on my 250,000 simulated eight-deck shoes. They were created using a Mersenne Twister random number generator and a Fisher Yates shuffle.

Each file has 25,000 shoes and is 4.06 MB in size. Each line in each file is an individual shoe, starting with the shoe number, and followed by the outcome of each hand (P/B/T). The files are comma delimited for easy loading into Excel.

Is that a problem?

Maybe. These shoes are good for practising mechanics , but may not necessarily represent what you find in a casino,

so it is good to know how and where the shoes you are practising against originated.

I agree to a point ... I feel like I've seen NOR shoes and mdb shoes in that database and what I'm really practicing are the real time money management and system switch decisions.

I guess we will have to see. I already have the Wizard of Odds data in my database and will be adding real casino shoes from my own play as well as from several other members here. I'll be able to test systems against both sets as well as perform statistical analysis on all shoe types.

Hi guys, I'm an app developer and willing to help port this spreadsheet to a .Net exe application (Web app type of thing is a whole different can of worms so let's skip that for now). Excel can do some powerful stuff but it gets difficult to scale up and has lots of ancillary issues, scripting security etc.... I'm also a newb and think this would be an excellent way for me to learn/master NOR. We could do open source hosting on codeplex. Looks like you've already got a significant shoe database so that is a great starting point. Where the teamwork comes in is, coming up and reviewing code requirements..if interested in collaboating, I can set up a codeplex account this weekend and get started.

I won't do any reverse engineering on your code unless I get your permission. You've obviously put a lot of time in on it and deserve the credit !!

XDotNet. Thanks for the offer. The database is already online and we are working bugs out of a simulator for MDB at the moment. In addition to 252000 computer generated shoes, there are over 100 live shoes and it is growing daily. The app is written in PHP. Everyone who has attended the last two seminars has been given access and there will be some announcements coming next month giving access to more members.

The new simulator software should be online this weekend. Keith posted a video before the last round of enhancements.
