  1. Viva Las Vegas.

You want water symphony, go to The Bellagio.

Thinking of the Pharoahs, get yourself over to The Luxor.

Paris is your gig, check it out.

Eddie Van Halen and Styxx memorabilia, head to the Hard Rock.

You think Johnny Depp and all those Pirate Movies are a piece of cake, spend a few minutes at Treasure Island

And if fast cars are your eye candy dream, the Wynn is for you.

You want to win at baccarat, , just go to the Gold Coast and apply your favorite BTC system to the table action that IS

  2. I am all for Ellis' idea of putting Sys40 Advanced in a "manual" for all to see/discuss/play/share results.

I would also suggest a one page "cheat sheet" that summarizes the start/stop/bet this way/bet that way "rules"

Most of us can only deal with a one page "system", and this we can write most of it in code right on our casino-provided "scorecard"...using the casino-provided card is one sure way to appear like you just got off the boat...( or in some cases, on it...)

  3. I really think Ellis has a point here.

    1) No single way of play will beat every situation.

    2) We do not need to beat every single situation, especially with rationale stop-loss parameters. if this happens, then just get out and wait for the next shoe.

    3) Establish realistic win-objectives for each shoe/each session and stick to them.

    3) The simpler the rules, the better we can all apply them and discuss our results on this forum.

    4) Everyone who has been playing this game for a long time ( means thet have not become discouraged or run out of money) would most likely agree that in real-world casino play, with all the distractions and "stress" influencers present, THE SIMPLER THE BETTER.

System 40 seems to accomodate all these objectives, the most important of which is that short-term/mid-term/long-term we BEAT THE CASINO and enjoy our winnings .

  4. JerseySlim-

Could not agree more with you...it is really just a personal preference, but i like to stay with one style of play for just about everything, seems way more relaxing than trying to incorporate a bunch of different systems...then it is just discipline to pay close attention to your shoe and session unit win and/or unit stop loss goals...definitely will win more than you lose...Now and then you go home having lost a few $$, but over a week, a month, a year you will find yourself way ahead of the game. And the more shoes you play and observe, it makes a huge difference in your confidence, which also translates to winning more $$, and cutting your losses short...

  5. Dave-

Fair and comprehensive observations about both ...could put your review up on the Travel Channel and draw a few more players to the Horseshoe, ha! Watching the Raiders/Cowboys preseason game, and a few of those guys could learn more about shoulder pads from the more veteran Horseshoe stalwarts...I play about every other week in Chicago or Milwaukee area, so PM me kachatz@treomanagement.com and let's get together if you'd like. Maybe next weekend after this and we can compare notes. I have found both casinos to be a mix of C/S, with no clear bias...I have to admit I actually enjoy over-the-top play, especially since I do not care about ratings/comps/etc. but U R right, a game can take f.o.r.e.v.e.r @ The Shoe.

  6. B-

    Agree completely with MVS.

Several things about the Forum, and THE GAME, at least from my perspective.

Rule # 1) No matter what you read or what you see on this forum or anywhere else, CONSISTENT WINNING will require many, many hours of actual playing time, incredible patience, ( at times) unnerving discipline and (Very Important!) a bankroll commensurate with your expectations to experience the benefits of your "investment" ( time and money)

Rule # 2) There is no getting around Rule # 1

That said , I suggest you "google" the word Baccarat, read everything you can about systems/strategies/rules of the game, etc.etc.etc. Then just compare what you have just read to what you see here on this Forum and your decision to join will be a "NO-BRAINER", whether you decide to join or not.

    Best of luck,

  7. Thanks, Ellis

I have read many, many of the threads and forum topics all the way through to get a better grasp of the strategies employed. Great stuff, and I am using some of it already but I just want to solidfy my grasp of using several different methodologies within a shoe, rather than just one ( like just using RD1). Also, it was my hope that this would help others like me , especially those new to the Forum.

The 80 outcomes I posted were 38 Banker, 35 Player and 7 Ties ( total 80 outcomes, typical shoe..) I understand the ties don't get "played" but since they do occur I put them in there for reference. Not sure how you calculated only 56 "plays" other than TIE ?

I will digest your comments later today and look forward to seeing how this particular "shoe" is played by anyone who wants to take the time to explain their methods.

    Thanks again for your help!

    Kevin

  8. OK, so I think like MVS I am now as confused as ever about this ( or at least as confused as he seemed early in the day today).

I have an idea which may help everyone, and perhaps The Maverick himself would help us all out in a clear, easy to understand fashion.

Listed below are 80 Player, Banker or Tie outcomes. Pretty much a typical ( if there is such a thing) shoe...

Maverick, could you please SHOW US ALL EXACTLY HOW YOU WOULD HAVE PLAYED THIS SHOE, by combining "the rules" of the RD1,F2 and F3 methods with a simple Money Management progression of your choosing ? SAP or not, up to you...

My hope is that this will help everyone understand each and every decision made and WHY/WHEN TO SWITCH between the various systems ( RD1, F2 and F3 ), and how the MM progression fits in.

Here are the 80 outcomes, starting with the first hand dealt.

Thanks Mr. M, and I know there are many, many of us on this Forum that would like to have your feedback on just how you would have played this shoe.

    The more comments/advice/instruction the better!

  9. Sam

I used to live in Chicago, but moved to Florida last year.

I do get back to Chicago occasionally, so send me your direct contact info and I will save it for a future trip there...

In the meantime, the best local place I found to play was at the Potawatomi Casino in downtown Milwaukee...very nice, clean, etc. www.paysbig.com

Good luck and call me if I can help.

  10. MVS

I play at the Hard Rock in Biloxi...I've heard the HR down your way has a lot more Bac players...

Up here, they never have more than one table going and often I am playing by myself. Believe it or not, I really don't mind since they let me bet both sides if I am trying to get my bearings....

Anyways, one of these days perhaps we can meet and play together down your way ( I live in the Destin area...)

I have a favor...since you have a bunch of test shoes, could you read my HORSE WITH NO NAME post and see what you think vis-a-vis your actual experience? Any questions about what i wrote call me or email me...

Thanks and keep up the good work!

  11. This is all starting to make sense to me, Clifton.

When you have a minute, can you look at my HORSE WITH NO NAME post and explain that math to me? it seems even more profound/different.

Again, as i explain in that post the reason I was investigating it is because a number of Dealers have told me about their feelings on streaks...of course, they are on the other side of the table, but i do believe they have some insight into things just from having experienced the game and staring at the Tote Board with all the results ...

    Best,

    Kevin

  12. Thanks to all for your responses.

Here is what i am trying to say, and what i am wondering if you have experienced:

    1) Take a look at a bunch of games you have played.

    2) Look at all the 3-or-more WINS in a row on one side (PPP or BBB or PPPPTP or BBBBBBBBBB, etc)

    3) Examine the number of WINS in a row on the opposite side just before it switched over to the 3-or-more in a row side as in (2) above

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________-

It seems to me that since 1's occur 50% of the time, 2's occur 25% of the time, etc that a 3-or-more Wins in a row streak would only occur after a 1-in-a-row on the opposite side 50% of the time. However, my experience has been that it is almost 54% ( see my original post). I am curious to know if this makes sense as it could be an exploitable betting advantage over a large # of hands ( just another way of helping to decide whether a 2-in-a-row will become a 3-in-a-row, a 3 will become 4, etc.)

Let me know what your experience has been...
