Hi guys

Just wanted to start a thread on us creating a MDB + progression. With so high hit rate we surely can come up with a specialist progression that will work along side MDB to make profits more consistent. I think anyone who has played way2fast rules MDB knows losing shoes are few and far between. Could we come up with a progression that helps us take more money home in the long run. I recall way2fast talking about something he is working on.

Thoughts?

I have had great success with w2f's progression of 1-2-2. Although a bit conservative, you win more than you lose. I have no problem leaving casino's +2 or 3.

I understand your happy to win but are you serious about leaving the casino with only 2 or 3 units? You're better than that! Why settle for only 2 or 3 units?

More like happy with +3 not 2. I believe the greatest enemy is time in a casino. I live 30 min from Parx PA. Play twice a week. I am saving all my winnings for this and upcoming year. If I am +4 I will bet one more time. If I win great, if I lose I will go home +3. God willing in a year from now I will be betting $1,000 units so +3 is fine. I understand what you are saying but everyone has to play to their comfort zone.

I agree with you McVince.

I am basing most of my play on what I read that Oz did and probably still does wherever he is.

Don't forget he learned a lot from Norm so he said

In theory if you do well with flat bet then you can do better with a progression but in reality with a progression more times than not I get into sh**t

Many times I have played a shoe or part of and been up like +5 and then the shoe changes and I don't pick it correctly and I'm back to 0 or worse

Had I exited at +5 or even +2 or even +1 then I am moving forward

Like I say everyone is different and you have to play within your comfort zone

Flat betting and aiming to win +2 or +3 average is really boring and as Oz says its marginally more exciting than watching paint dry.

But he also says that his unit size of choice is $5000.

It would be great to have to separate banks - one for flat bet - +2 or +3 target and another for more exciting play where you can play progression and bet most times

But then again if you can increase to $5000 unit size using one method then why bother with anything else.

I also agree with you McVince. Far better to take a profit that risk a loss. And more time in the casino is not going to end well. 2-3 units can be $10-15k -- not a bad win for a short day. You are doing perfect practice which will pay off when you are at large units and need to throw the big bets with confidence and be able to protect your winnings against a very formidable enemy -- the casino.

Well, It may take me years to get to that size a bet. But $1,000 unit bet size is more in my sights. John, I really liked the advice you gave to me in our conversation. I have used what you laid out for me and have been winning winning winning. The only time I lost is when I fell off the tracks and started betting recklessly instead of just taking my medicine. I wish we can all take the human element away from this endeavor we have all taken on. We would all be rich by now. Learning lessons in the casino are expensive.

I am retiring in two years. I have a very good pension package awaiting me. Instead of getting a job, I would like to play baccarat as a source of income. In my conversation with w2f, he suggested to have at least 200x my betting unit so if I lose I will have enough to absorb the loss and it won't sting as much. That's what I have done. I also took something from another post on BTC. Every 35 units that I win, I bump my bet up $50. I kind of blended these two suggestions and made a 2 year game plan. Hopefully in 2 years I will have saved enough to start betting $500-1000 units and enjoy retirement at 50 years old.

I think that is really good advise to have 200x base units to play. It will not only sting less when you lose, but it will also make you more confident making those 3rd bets (if your progression is 1-2-3 or even 1-2-4). I have been playing with 100x base units, but 200x would definitely make it sweeter. I am still new to MDB and cannot wait to talk to the pros in Vegas.

Yeah it was good advice. I made a lot of money last year but in hindsight I was playing reckless. One or two bad days in a row would have crippled me. I think that Way2fast guy may have a future in this game :).
