What is your greatest weakness, that you deal with "PERSONALLY" in baccarat, blackjack, roulette, sports betting, etc.  This is not any about any strategy, or method.

I will start it off by saying mine is when I am tired, mentally, emotionally, and physically.   There are times I have pushed myself.....and I wish I hadn't.   It is a proven fact, that a good nights rest improves every aspect of the mental, emotional, and physical.  Being "sleep deprived" just doesn't cut it.  As a popular tv add says, "Never under estimate a good nights rest".

I still remember about a year ago, when I was in Genting casino watching how people betting player and banker, most of the people look at the tote board , there was a guy sitting on the chair facing the dealer, never put his sight on the tote board. he will place a bet every few hands the dealer dealt the cards. He win EVERY bets, when people start to follow his bets and he began to realise people follow his bets  , he just leave that table and go to other place. I quietly follow him behind , he just standing near a table when there is a place for him to sit he sit and start betting not every hand once every few hands, every bet he will place about few thousands. flat bet.  He win every bets. Than he just left the casino, I was try talk to him but he walk very fast .   I think he had train his intuition to high level .

I live in Malaysia and my wife is a Thai , Thailand is just above Malaysia. 4 hours drive to Thailand, I ask a very old monk, he is 108 years old, I ask him is it possible to train our intuition and senses to know the think we can not see with our eyes and hear beyound our hearing , the monk answered me yes, it take years to obtain it.

Ha WHAT a great topic! And I see you are all on the right track...OUR greatest enemy are self!!! The only person who can beat you is you! So make yourself your study, learn what makes us work at our best and what works against us.Learn to recognize the signs of when we are going to tilt before we tilt!

That way we can avoid playing when we are not at are best...Don't forget no one forces us when to play only we can choose that.

This brings up the topic of playing with and around other people.

I personally don't like it as it puts pressure on you to perform or at least it can make you feel uneasy when you know people are watching you.

This can have an influence on your bets.

If you had the right partner to play with it could help you.

In Australia they will not deal unless you bet all the time.

When a table is busy you can place side bets when everyone is playing.

When everyone leaves a table it stays empty until someone comes in and starts betting every hand.

2 people could play alternate sides minimum bet to force them to draw cards.

Back to the point of the topic - playing with and around other people can influence your bets.

That's not my experience in NZ Brad

I used to worry about other players, but not any more. No other player influences my bets, I know I am better than they are.

Whether I play S40M1 or MDB+ I am almost always the first player to bet. Then I don't have to worry about upsetting other players. If they want to bet the other side then let them do so, usually to their detriment.

BTW I just played part of an amazing shoe this afternoon

B161922111113321311

I cut the shoe and sat at box 1 on the table.

A lot of other shoes nearby were streaky so I assumed the same for this shoe when the first run of players got to 3. I came in at that point and played S40M1 throughout the shoe until the second 2iar, when I quit.

What was amazing was the EVERY hand between the 3rd player in the 6iar at the start, and the 9th player in the second long run was either an 8 or a 9. On every occasion but 1, they were naturals. Twice I beat a banker 8 with a player natural 9, and there were 2 occasions when scores tied on 9.

The whole table were betting the same side, the table was rocking. The crowd was 3 deep, it was thoroughly enjoyable.

After I quit, I had a soda water and lemon, and watched some more of the shoe but didn't bet any further. Surely the most enjoyable shoe I have ever played,  not because of the long runs, but because of a huge run of naturals.

Wise words from Vin (Lou30)  very confident, and I am not surprised, as I have seen an example of his skill in baccarat.  Bottom line, you have to master yourself, and also the game.  One aspect without the other just doesn't get the job done.  Those are the true qualities of a professional, no matter what it pertains to.

Johnny Manziel is a great example of "knowing the game" but not mastering himself.

Wise words also Pando, in not letting anyone intimidate you or the game you are playing.  Dealers, pit bosses, people, all will distract you........but only if you let them.  You are not there for them.......you are there for the purpose you have, and nothing else.  It's like you are busy working in your office, and you have to focus to get the job done.  Allow NO distractions......NONE.  Be the tip of the sword......sharper than sharp, the best of the best.  Those other people aren't going to pay your losing bets, ignore them.

I've often said Australian casinos are bad

Crown is owned by James Packer and his major asset is gaming

He maximises profits

Small things he does to make it much harder to win and deter you.

All our shoes go through auto shufflers and you don't get a chance to touch them.

Put up your money or they don't deal

Here is one shoe just played:

B21321212212121231621764321311

Mostly OTBL type shoes we seem to get here with twists thrown in

Remember my post everything but the 4's - this is why I did that look at this shoe.

Look at this sequence within: 764(3)

I was the only person at the table who bet 3 stays 3.

All chinese players betting on repeat

Big big $$ lost by everyone except me on that bet

But I got sick of their policy and so I mostly play roulette red black now

I can walk up anytime its fast play and they will spin the wheel even if you don't bet all the time.

We all know the casinos have their tactics for distracting us and to basically try rob us blind with what I call legally  cheating! For example in the UK at blackjack the dealer does not deal her self her second card until every one else has finished their hand! I have always known BJ to be we all get two cards each and then play on...So who made up these new rules!

Casino tactics have been disgust many times on this forum so we should all know them by now, but what about other influences as Brad has just said the topic of other people...People we have NO control over.

The other players...Who are they, how do we spot them AND more importantly how do they effect us and our game.

As we know there are all sorts of characters and each one brings with him their own  characteristics some good and lots of bad! One persons habits are another persons annoyances, they might not even know they are doing them but for you its driving you mad... The result Tilt loss of focus, knocked off our game usually means loss of units, might as well go home WHY because I will ONLY play worst.

Ellis told a story of a guy who sat next to him and was stealing his chips and Norm told of the guys who were rushing him over taking his time to play. So  who are these guys and what can we do about them!(if you have watched the film CASINO no you can not take a couple of baseball bats to them).Although you might feel like it!

There are to many to mention them all as what might annoy one person might amuse another! But give it some thought and then try to avoid them.

Firstly the drunks, some are funny(at first) but not here not now. Some are aggressive HOW bad can it get.

What about the tourist group only here to party and of course lose all their holiday money.

The know all with what are you doing that sh*t for its just 50/50 red or blue your wasting you time.

Mister inquisitive,Hey mate what are you doing what system are you playing? Are you winning can you show me...

Which brings me on to the STALKER...You know him he follows you round like your shadow...Ha you get home and he,s still behind you!!!

The cougher, the sniffer, the talker, the joker with his bad jokes and some one at the table keeps letting one go!!! Guess what I am defiantly at the wrong table!

There are plenty more do you know any? Can you spot them? Even WORST are you one of THEM!

Again give it some thought because they can Kill your game...The good news is IF you can spot them you DONT have to sit next to them!!

Mister inquisitive.  That sombiocth always there to mess you up.  Mister inquisitive also plays into our ego and good nature to help.  85% of the people we play next to are degenerate gamblers of the remaining 15% only 1% would listen to advice anyhow.  Now It is just, "sometimes I play chop and sometimes I play runs.  Who knows it is a coin toss".

I always try to sit on one of the corners, and move my chair just a little bit away from the person next to me.  Keep my mouth shut, ignore everyone, and focus on my scorecard.  It just seems to work for me.  And definitely stay away from the maddening crowd on a Friday or Saturday night.

And don't get distracted by the short skirts!

There were 2 Asian girls at the roulette table yesterday.

Damn they were hot

Chinese - maybe from Hong Kong I think

Tattoos, one with a black dress, one with grey. Could have been hookers.

Cant remember if I won the bet at that table!

Usually it's the cocktail waitresses as well. You know the one wearing the things...What about the dealer who never shuts up or the pit boss who stares at your scorecard.....

I yell "winner winner chicken dinner on all naturals"
