  1. Nizm0racer, Hmm, something else odd happened just a bit ago on BetPhoenix. The shoe started out NICELY, at least for me. After a very short period of time, they shut the table down! At 6:20pm. Here's what had come out so far. I was +19 when it closed!! Bet Phoenix May 31, 2010 Table 2 B14754 at which point the table closed. Arrrrrgh. A big streaky start like that and I was licking my chops to make a bundle there for sure. Oh well, at least it's a win for today. (Thank you Maverick!) MVS
  2. Hmm, OK, that sounds like a good idea. The next time I actually GET a losing shoe, I'll post it up here and see what happens. So far, in over 4 months exactly ONE other person has posted up their results of a shoe that was put in this thread and that would be NormA, who also just happens to be a Private area member here, and I believe he said he won that shoe running NuSap. So, I'll see if I can come up with a "loser" and post it up. It won't be a huge loser as we do use stop losses in every shoe. Why fight a difficult shoe when you can just move on to the next one much easier! MVS
  3. Goldfinger2012, Thanks for coming back and posting a follow up message. Actions such as that are very rare in the internet world for sure. Your play method sounds solid. Thanks for the reasoned reply. MVS
  4. Hmm, three Euro casinos with no baccarat at any of them? Really? I'm thinking that won't go over so well, but give it your best shot. I did enjoy the story line though. MVS
  5. I put in a call tonight but got the casino dept answering machines. I did get a live person when I called but she transferred me over and nobody picked up. I'll call again during the daytime tomorrow. This short stacking of the shoe isn't very consistant either. Both of my shoes today were full ones. MVS
  6. Very true. Just finished up my 3pm and 4pm shoes at BPH and both of them went all the way to the normal finish. They weren't the easiest shoes today, but a win is a win. 67 and 68 hands. AD (+17)
  7. Dweezel, How's your practice with baccarat going? Haven't heard back from you for a little while. Getting a few shoes a day in now? Practice is always good and keeps your brain thinking about the game. MVS (only two shoes today. +7 and +10)
  8. All, Hopefully some of you out there are getting something out of these shoes or getting some practice time in on them. Can't believe there's only two of us who get live shoes every day. Anyway, here's the end of this weeks shoe action. Five days, five shoes, five wins, this one being the smallest profit of only +14. Bet Phoenix May 28, 2010 B61132133 B33116321 B51112122113 B111551 Use it for practice and here's hoping you've got a good, winning system play for it. MVS
  9. OK, just finished with the 4pm shoe at BPH and they went all the way to the end. I'll be playing the 4:445pm shoe coming up and we'll see if they continue to deal it out correctly. MVS
  10. So far I"ve seen it both ways. One day they cut the shoe off in the middle and the next day it appeared to be back to normal. Let's see what they continue to do. MVS
  11. All, Just had an odd thing happen at BPH a little while ago. Seems she had just dealt out hand 39 and the "Joker" card came out, signifying the last hand! Sure enough, hand 40 got dealt out and they started a shuffle of the deck!! Has this happened to anybody else recently? A change in how far they're going down the deck or was it merely an accidental placement of the joker? I was at +3 when they shuffled up, but here's hoping this isn't a normal thing now! MVS
  12. Hold on!! I was talking about a Skype VIDEO conference call, which isn't available at this time. Of course a regular Skype conference call could be held any time. MVS
  13. I recently received an email from Skype saying that their "video conferencing" is in beta test. This could be exactly what we're looking for in the near future. If I get any more details, or a chance to use it I'll post it up here. MVS
  14. Paulsavas, Which two shoes are those? Are you talking about the two that I've recently posted? MVS
  15. JSintl. Well, you can get a nice head start by reading many of the threads here in the public area. Most, if not all of the questions you have are already answered. By reading the information now, you'll have an idea of what you will be dealing with. The key here is to READ the information and understand it. If you're not currently playing baccarat, get 6 decks of cards and start learning the game. Open a free online account and start practicing in real time with live dealers. You'll save yourself a lot of time by coming into the group really prepared to play baccarat and not just learn the game from scratch. So, take a look at the older threads behind this one and see what you can pick up. MVS (I can only type the same answers over and over so many times!)
  16. Hmm, not many people playing baccarat or else nobody is charting the table and keeping their score cards. However, for those of you who are practicing, here's a shoe from today's winning session at Bet Phoenix. Pulled a nice profit out of this one again. Test it against your play. Also, when you play it out or track it, do you notice anything odd about this shoe? MVS Bet Phoenix May 16, 2010 B1711113311 B3416114 B281111111111 B43
  17. Kevster, Did these people give any particular reasons to stay away? MVS
  18. All, For those of you reading this thread and wondering what we're talking about in the private area, here's a quick two notes from Mreteuya and myself: Mreteuya reports: Table 1 Bet Phoenix at 2:00 pm Hawaii time.... +31 at hand 58 where I stopped. If you had gone further I would have made more... Anti-RD/Hybrid did well and when I lost two in a row I went to F2 since the 4s were lower that the 1s and 2s I replied a short time later: I went in and played that hand and didn't really see the Anti count taking off all that much until around hand 41 where it really zoomed out of control! I actually didn't even start playing Anti until hand 50! Still got a very nice +21 out of it. I'll take that any day of the week. Max wager was 5, once, early on. Anybody else run this shoe and get something different from the two of us? There was a little bit of everything in there for me. RD1H, F2, Anti-RD1H and even a few TB4L's at the end. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gentlemen, there is a lot of information and discussion about baccarat here. No whining, complaining, griping or making up stories. Just hard facts and baccarat. It's your choice. MVS
  19. Dave, In the simplest of terms.... The bankroll for "each" sytem is the same. Most recommend 40 times your starting table bet. Everybody uses a different progression if needed. There are moderate ones that only go to 2-Hi. There's a 3-Hi and mine happens to go to 6 or 7, depending on how the shoe looks for me that day. A lot depends on how aggressive or passive you elect to be. Current winning shoe rate is in the area of 80%. Some guys win every shoe. Some win most shoes. I haven't heard of anyone losing more shoes than they win. My target for 5 shoes would be 50. Mark's is 100 although I wouldn't think it would take him 5 shoes to get there.. It all depends on what your tolerance for risk is and obviously your bankroll and ability to play. I play every hand after the first batch of 8-10 hands. Others wait out a hand or two after two losses. Once again, it depends on your style of play. I think so. A good player can make a mistake from time to time (I know I do) and the current play I'm using (Maverick) appears to fix my gross blunders from time to time. I hate to be short with the answers but I just dropped in before heading out for the day. Hope this helps. I would also add here that if you plan on buying in, getting a "winning system" and heading out to the casino, you'll be in for a rude awakening. There is an amount of study and practice involved here that some just won't attempt and they usually wind up asking themselves "how could I lose all my money". Be prepared to READ, READ and READ some more. The systems are basically sound and reasonably simple. It's the execution that separates the winners from the losers. Go into it with a good attitude and a willingness to put in a lot of time and you'll come out just fine. Also, you won't get many replies here as the majority of the members are in the private area and they are there every day working and planning and finding small areas to make better with each play. Most rarely check in here in the public area unless requested to. MVS
  20. #1 - Yes, we're all doing this online. Several members have met up in Las Vegas, Tunica and AC to play together, but it's not required by any means. #2 - Hard to say. Baccarat is an interesting game to say the least. As several of our members have said in the past, they're not here for fun and games, they're here to make money at baccarat. We do have at least two people that I'm aware of making the kind of profits you're talking about (I'm not one of them) and I have no doubt there are others who don't post up nearly as much as the chatterboxes like me. Also, I don't win $500 a day because I don't play more that a shoe or two at a time. It is work for me and I treat it as such. #3 - I think the general concensus is that Maverick, AD/OT and NuSap may be the top three system plays at this time. Each has it's own character and style. One that fits me may not fit your style of play. That's probably why there's more than one and they all attack the shoes past performance data. #4 - The fact that I'm answering this question at midnight should answer that one for sure! Seriously, there are many real players, not just loud mouths, who can and will answer questions. We all have them. I still have them and am not bashful about asking to clarify a play or decision. I would seriously recommend that you get fully up to speed on baccarat play. Buy 8 decks of cards and start dealing them out in the living room table and play. Get comfortable and familiar with the scoring and basic card handling. The rules of the game may at first seem very strange and at best, illogical, but a few days of talking to yourself while dealing out hands and it will start to make sense. I am only a moderator here. I am NOT part of the paid staff so please don't think of this as one giant advertisement. Even if I was only a normal private member, I would probably have written the same stuff. Also, don't kid yourself. Playing everyday in the casino is work. Go at it with that attitude and you should do OK. Learn your craft, practice, practice and more practice and then start off small to convince yourself that it really works FOR YOU. You say you've played a lot of craps in the casinos. At least you've seen the inside of one. There's a lot of "experts" out there who only know what they read, they've never actually put real money down on the table. Plan accordingly. MVS (my fingers are tired. Time for sleep)
  21. Dweezel, Well, that's what I buy in at the casino with these days. I really never need it as I do it only for the dinner comp. I believe that our largest "buy-in" recommendation bankroll is 40 times your betting units. A $1000 would work fine on a $25 table. Find the $10 table and you've got a lot of buffer room there for sure. Luckily my local land based casino does have $10 tables so it's no problem. Have you been playing much baccarat or are you new to the game? If you're relatively new to the game, there will probably be a learning curve to get "up to speed" on the nuances of the game, but it's nothing that can't be overcome rather quickly. Personally I gave up on craps play a long time ago but my brother still gives it his best effort. I went to baccarat because I can sit down, it's usually quieter and there's only two things to bet! MVS (and I can win at baccarat, not so at craps)
  22. Kevster, Funny you should ask at this time! I just got finished with my nightly shoes (only two tonight) and hit +10 and +6 for a nice clean night. Bet Phoenix accepts US players by charging your credit card with a cash advance for the initial deposit. They also want a copy of your photo ID and some other paperwork filled out. Evidently they are very big on CC security. They also NEED that ID sheet to actually pay you out so it's a must. Of course I was not happy with sending this kind of information to them, but it was the only way I could get in. My initial testing deposit was only for $300 and the "fees" from VISA amounted to something just under $20 or so. No wonder the credit card weasels love it when people use a credit card as a cash advance machine! The fees are outrageous! But I digress. So far, Bet Phoenix is the only online, live dealt casino that I've found that will take US players. When I signed up I did NOT take any of the bonuses. My account manager calls every now and then and wants to give me more bonuses. I don't want them. When I need to pull money out of there, I want it to come out with no strings attached. But that's just me. Others appear to make a bunch off of the bonus programs. Read the fine print and call and ask them if you have any quesitons. They appear to answer the phones and actually do call back, even from an email request! So far, I've been very happy with them. They do have a $5 minimum table that appears to be available pretty much at all hours. Also $10 and $50 minimum for when you get to that level. MVS
  23. Well, it appears in the message nicely when I view it but I'm thinking that's due to the private member vs. public member levels of access to these forums. Nice shot of Hong Kong. I think I've got a few here in my archives that look amazingly similar!! It is a beautiful city at night for sure and they really know how to dress those buildings during the holidays. MVS
  24. Plasia, I can understand the problem if the display on MY screen was behind what she was doing. If she draws a card, it registers and then comes up on my screen, I'll understand. What I don't get is when she's just sitting there and all the cards come out, with a decision, and then she starts to pull cards very fast to catch up to what I'm seeing. We need to find somebody who can explain just how these live video feeds actually work, with a few technical details thrown in to convince us all that what we're seeing from time to time is "simply" a video lag. I tend to like BPH over Orchid as the video feed in the background is something I can verify, in real time, on my own screen. ESPN, CNN, etc. Over at Black Orchid, it just appears as a static picture. Can't play for money over at Black Orchid anyway so it's really a moot point, but understanding what's happening would really be nice. MVS
  25. Here's tonight's question about Black Orchid (or any of the live dealer tables online)... Tonight at Black Orchid, I sat through the card wash and shuffle and when Paola was all set to deal, she had to sit there and wait for about a minute until something was ready. When she finally did start to deal, the cards were already on the screen and she was just starting to pull them from the shoe. Something's not right about that. If there is a scanner checking the cards as they come out of the shoe, how is it that I'm seeing the completed hand before she ever draws a card out??? Perhaps I just don't really understand how this works. I can see the cards being delayed on my screen, which would make perfect sense, but to have the entire hand displayed and checked BEFORE she even slides a card out of the shoe is really out of whack. Can anyone explain it a bit better as to why this happens? Is there more here than meets the eye? I think what I'm attempting to ask is "where is my screen display getting the information from if it's NOT from the shoe as it's dealt? MVS (left after the fourth hand)
