Users ECD Posted November 20, 2016 Users Report Share Posted November 20, 2016 I'm sure all of us have at some point or other contemplated betting against a run when it has gone to a an 8 or 9iar. So 2 days ago at I'm at my local casino and I'm watching this young man betting $10 to $15 hands on a very obvious strong side Banker. The shoe started out with B31314. The 4 continued on to an 8iar and the player started betting against the run. By the time the 8 went to 10, this guy was betting over $300 a hand to recover his $10. He pulled out all the cash he had from his pocket and kept betting. At about the time it got to an 11iar he angrily barged off the table, went to have 2 puffs of his cigarette and when he came back the run was still going. So what does the moron do? He continues to bet against it. The run ended at a 14iar. The guy lost his entire bank roll. Moral of the story. Don't ever bet against a run. You never know how long it will go. Baccarat Hall of Fame Member wolfat Posted November 20, 2016 Baccarat Hall of Fame Member Report Share Posted November 20, 2016 Agree with this but I'd rewarded into: "never bet against a run more than twice" sometimes you can have reasons for doing it... trillion
I know of several people that I have seen playing exactly like CT70 have described. When I ask them why are you betting against the trend they just go on about saying that the streak has to end and therefore they become very angry after each losing decision. The dealers even tell these players to follow the shoe, follow a strong trend, do not fight what is happening in the shoe. Impossible to change these peoples mind while I will be collecting on each winning decision.
Pando
I have seen it too I played a table with a 12IAR Player run, and elderly Chinese lady played every hand against the run She ran out of cash after 10 losing bets Then I saw her go to the cashier, got another $2,000 and proceeded to do the same thing on a similar shoe at another table I actually saw her doing it again last Sunday, that's how she "plays"
