Ellis, I have known you for so many years and you always pull through. You have defeated every obstacle that came your way. You are a winner by all definition. You even over came being down $40,000 when you tried card counting. You teach us how to win in life, not just winning at the casinos. I continue to learn from you always. Wishing all of this will work out for you

That just goes to show you that anyone can get scammed, including me. It was in the late '80s. I had been doing extremely well with NBJ. But I assumed the card counters were doing even better what with all their books. So I studied and practiced until I could count cards faster than anyone. While I had been winning about 85% of my shoes with NBJ, I couldn't win a single shoe with card counting. So I went right back to NBJ and quickly won my $40,000 back plus another 40. It was about then that I met Kenny Uston. Over drinks at the bar each night he confided in me that he was getting absolutely killed and planned to quit BJ. That prompted me to investigate these card counting book writers and gurus. I quickly found that NONE of them actually played BJ. Kenny and I were the only actual players. I met a few of the gurus. Those guys actually had no idea of how to play BJ. They were only interested in scamming players. I lamented over getting scammed so easily. But then cleared my head of all that hogwash and went right back to serious NBJ play. Kenny quit the game completely, moved to Asia and died a short time thereafter.

It is very sad that these counting "GURUS" are still making money today from their book sales. They even get inducted into THE BLACKJACK HALL OF FAME. Sad!!

The BJ Hall of fame was CREATED by the BJ gurus. It's a mutual admiration society who's sole function is to make each other wealthy at player expense. How could I have ever fallen for that??? How could ANYBODY?

God bless Ellis,

Relieved to hear your made it over the first hurdle. I hope the rest goes well. It is rare to meet someone in this day and age that can speak with hands on knowledge of a subject that is so misunderstood and misguided by the so called established gambling gurus that in the past ruled the printed page and now continue to spew inaccurate information via the internet.

It is rare to find someone of such conviction and so knowledgeable of a subject and dedicated to dissolving the ignorance that pervades and entire industry. It's a breathe a of fresh air that we would all sorely miss if quenched before you can write your autobiography tentatively titled "The Player".

It is clear to me that even though I readily admit to having gaps of understanding of your works, I am sure myself and others would stand in line to have you sign a copy of your book.

Here's hoping that even with the uncertainty that we all face you are able to overcome the odds and are granted the time to write a book that only you are in a position to write.

Hang in there. Don't let the bastards get you down. Tom
