All,

As anyone reading this message has already at least registered on this board, that's a good sign so I'll post it here instead of in the private area.

One year ago I made the "leap of faith" and bought into this forum strictly for the baccarat information and plays.

It took me a while to settle in, get organized and get SERIOUS about my baccarat play.

A year ago I was playing at the game, but not beating it. Basically I was in some sort of neutral mode of uninspired play, no profits and just drifting through the tables.

I figured I needed to change my game and this is where I wound up. I paid the full admission price at the time and jumped in.

One year later I'm in profits with my local live casino play and way up with my online account at BetPhoenix in live dealer play.

I went through probably four major system plays to get to this point, but the time and effort were worth it, at least for me. I managed to find and play three plays that fit my style and bankroll.

There is no magic bullet of baccarat or a Holy Grail. This takes work, discipline and study. If you're lacking any of those, you will lose. I have also found that the discipline to play the game according to a plan is probably the most important quality to possess! The best system play in the world will collapse if your table discipline is weak. Believe it!

Anyway, I was going to post a similar testimonial on the other few baccarat boards, but after reading them all for the last year or so, I decided that it would be a waste of time so this will be the only one.

You don't have to believe my comments here. I only post this to complete a year long journey that I started with a specific goal and I've reached it. Now I can continue to play and enjoy the game while making a tidy profit each week. I"m still learning little tricks along the way to help with the game as the crop of members in the private areas are very baccarat savvy and work as a pretty good team.

So, don't let the "administrator" badge under my name fool you. I'm only an admin of the general board actions. I paid my way in here like the rest and have not regretted it a bit.

The bottom line?

Ask yourself this question:

Is your game better in August of 2010 than it was in August of 2009?

Mine is!

Nice post MVS. I can agree 100% on what you're saying. My only question is that you are playing at BP and you've seen the recent posts by one of the members. I hear reports of getting knocked out of the room if you don't make a bet for 5 or 6 hands and just today someone saying that are having troubles with a withdrawl. Please enlighten me as to how you get around the limitations of having to bet within 5 or 6 hands and how you are getting money out of your account, meaning the best way for a withdrawl, how long it takes to receive your funds, and any other thing of importance you might be willing to share about BP. Thanks

Well, as I rarely sit out more than three hands, the minimum hands requirement doesn't really apply, but if you have to, you can always net bet the table. Bet the minimum on both hands and you can play all day.

Just today I requested a minimum $500 payout from BPH. Their banking page says three days after processing but the guy on the phone said ten days. We shall see next week what shows up!!

Hmm, just realized that I didn't answer my own question about the payout!

Well, it showed up on time (5 business days) and via FedEx.

I like getting checks from the casino! This could get to be habit forming.

sounds like you are talking truthfully. like you, there is no holy grail and yes discipline is key,no made what game you are playing. like you were doing a year ago,I plan on giving baccarat a real shot.discipline is under rated in my book. most player focus solely on systems and so forth. like the old saying,it is wisdom, the ability to apply knowledge that counts, and that is why casinos spend millions in ways to make your emotions run wild.

I will have to paid my way to success as well like you did.but remember too, never your guards down or you can give back all your profit in one crazy session, been there, done it.

thanks for your input,

God bless, Rinaldo

All,

MVS

Yes, I posted that particular message a year ago!!

It's now August of 2011 and I figured it was time for the "two year" update.

As this is a small thread at this point, you can go back and read the full, original message and get up to speed. Most of the readers will be private members anyway, so they won't have to go through it, but for those of you who actually took the time to register here and have looked around let me add this to the original message:

My feelings are exactly the same.

Two years after buying in, I am still learning and still winning. Without a doubt my longest gambling winning streak EVER. Actually calling it gambling is incorrect. What all those other people do at the table is gambling. We're playing a studied method and showing really good results.

No, we're not static. Are we playing the same ideas we were a year or two ago? Nope, not by a long shot, but we are using elements of all of them and that's where the methods come in.

So, as I continue to learn and play, here's hoping I'll still be around this time next year to update this thread one more time!

I ended the original message with a simple question. I'll end this one the same way.

Ask yourself this question:

Is your game better in August of 2011 than it was in August of 2010?

Mine is.

I remember reading that first message when I first logged on here and wondering what all the fuss was about. After being in the baccarat game now for awhile, I think I see why you posted it up!

Congrats on the two year run and here's hoping it will continue for you.

Adulay, I have read everyone of your posts, made copies and studied most of them as they are little treasures of education about the game.

You have been, are now and always will be admired and respected as a superior player and teacher.

I wish you many more years of continued success.Thank you again for all of your many

splendid contributions to the game.

Well, if it's August, it's time for this little annual update.

How many different ways can I write what is basically the same message!!

Hard to believe it's been 3 years since I first signed in and signed up to be a full time member here.

The year changes, but the message doesn't.

As this thread is so short, you should have no problem reading all 10 or 11 messages to get the full idea.

Rather than take up a lot of people's time writing what would basically be a rehash of the previous years, I'll just say that buying into the ideas and methods here at BTC was one of my best gambling investments, ever.

I'm in profits for the last three years and my gambling account continues to grow slowly but steadily.

As I'm a very conservative player, my wins are generally smaller than most other players, but that's just my own style. Those who are a bit more aggressive obviously make more money at the game.

Gentlemen, you've managed to register here and read this thread. Read everything you can and when you decide to start playing baccarat seriously instead of just betting hunches, take a really good look here and see what you can get for about the cost of one losing session.

Three years on board and I'm still a happy (winning) camper.

All,

Actually, it's now been FOUR years!

Can it possibly be that I've been a full paid up member here for that long?

AND STILL IN PROFITS!!!

Yes, it's true and if this is August, it's time for my annual update in this thread.

It's still a very short thread so going back to read the original messages should provide some kind of idea of what goes on here in the "private" area of this forum.

This is still, without a doubt, my own personal longest winning streak that I can remember. The fact that my "old" winning streaks usually lasted a few days seems totally in a distant past.

Four years ago I came in here, like most people, and wondered if I was doing the right thing to actually pay for the service. In my case, I believe it was the right thing. This place got me thinking on a new level, got me taking money OUT of the casino and my game advanced an order of magnitude in knowledge and depth of play.

There are many very skilled and intelligent players here and they literally give freely to help anyone who really wants to work on their game.

So, consider this an advertisement if you will. Call me a shill (many have on other boards). Call me anything you think I am, but you can always call me a profitable baccarat player. At least for the last four years!!

If you're reading this and are not already a private member, take the time to read the entire thread.

Is your baccarat game better now that it was a year ago?

That's the question to ask yourself.

Hi MVS! and congrats on your streak!!

Been a while since I have posted and also still have not funded an online acct yet. This week will be the week.

So has anything changed with your favorable opinions of betphoenix?

Is this still the place you play? Any complaints? Any new places online you recommend?

I have played with a fun acct now for a while and am eager for any updates of your online play.

Thank you!!

Also any other players with any comments? Thanks!

Kramden,

Yes, I'm still playing at BPH and about the only thing they have changed is the minimum amount you can take on a withdraw, which is now $1000. You still get one free withdraw per 30 day period.

I've heard of a few new places that are supposed to take US players, but haven't pursued any of them seriously for the time being.

Thanks Seahog,

Just worked it out last nite and will attempt to "BTC" , as they say in the

business.

They told me I can withdraw lesser amounts but it would have

to be thru western union. Fees apply.

If my "plan" works it shouldnt be a problem either wAy.

Haha.

Keep winning sir!

Gentlemen,

Can it possibly be FIVE years now (if it's August, it must be five years!) that I've been on a winning streak in baccarat?

When did it start? Well, if you'll take the time to read this thread (it's small enough) you'll see the whole story and it started right here.

For the 5th year in a row, I'm in profits and still moving right along. I am confident that a lot of the information I gained here got me headed in the right direction.

I am not a not an exciting player to watch. My game is boring and I'm very conservative with my play, but a win is a win and at the end of the year, they all add up.

So, this is my annual statement of fact that although there may not be one single system or method that will take all the money out of the casino, there are many ways to win, and you can find the best of those plays right here.

I am not paid to say any of this. I get no money from this site. I am merely a satisfied paid up member of the team.

I'm just curious -- do you track your success rate (% of right selections)? How often do you play each month?

NLB,

I don't actually track the success rate as a percentage of correct wagers. I do track weekly gross/net wins and losses. I do track winning and losing shoes though. If I'm running in that 70% to 85% range week after week, I know things are going well.

I do record every shoe, religiously. It is important (at least to me) to have a record of every shoe if not for anything other than to be able to go back and see how it was played and if something newer would have also worked or been easier.

The gambling money is in a separate account and not touched by anybody for anything other than baccarat.

As I've mentioned, the majority of my play is currently online as I tend to only play one full shoe or a few "short" shoes to take the win for the night. Actual B&M casino time is limited for me but I do try to get down to the local indian place at least once a month.

One of the lessons I learned here early on was to not get all wrapped up with winning a massive amount of money each time I go into play the game. My brother has that particular problem and he's a chronic loser. I'm perfectly happy to take the +6 (and up). All those little wins add up at the end of the month and year.

Baccarat, for me, is a long term project. Winning $300 is always better than losing $3000. Do that almost every time you play and it really adds up.

Once you start keeping good records, you'll see the money adding up nicely and at the end of the year, it is nice to look back and see that you're "in profit" again.

Anyway, that's how I work with it.

Tracking your own progress in such a manner is incredibly important. NOR beats regular cards better than any system in the world.

And if you can add TB4L to it per the forum as well as net betting and know when to play the best system for the shoe at hand and keep your losing shoe average less than your winning shoe average, an 85% win rate is attainable for anyone who puts in the effort. Even 90%.

When you keep records you subconciously and even conciously strive to improve them.

I think 80% for on line play is close to perfection. We simply don't have as much access to prior information as we do in a casino.

Nevertheless, MVS has proven that on line casinos can be beat with consistency just using the tools right here in this forum. All the tools you need are right here in this forum.

It would be interesting to know the overall Baccarat shoe win rate - the world wide shoe win rate. I'm guessing around 20% judging from reported casino profit rates.

Once you know all of the systems and can play them fluidly with equal mastery, you can concentrate on system selection. THAT becomes the name of the game. And you can keep getting better at it for the rest of your life. I know I do - even after 30+ years of play. Old dogs keep learning new tricks.

  • 2 months later...

Its been about 3 months now since I joined BTC. My play has improved tremendously. I use NOR exclusively and some RD1 on very streaky shoes. Not using MDB yet.

I finally took the time to start tracking my play statistics. The casino I usually play at has several bac tables open at any given time so it's easy to change tables. There is a nice selection. It's kind of nice because I get to see a lot of plays of the shoe before I sit down to play. I usually enter mid shoe, do a quick back count to determine OR, and play until I get to +5 or 6, then win or lose I will change tables. I've noticed that accomplishing +5 is not that hard. Sometimes it happens so quickly it makes you contemplate staying longer but I like to leave before the bias changes and mentally makes me feel good. If I can do that 4 times for a total of 20 units, I'm happy.

Now I can walk up to a table and immediately recognize what system to play.I know when to change systems to make more, lose less or not play at all.

Today I partially played in 15 shoes. I played 205 documented hands, won 99 of them. If my math is correct (Ellis please correct me if I am doing this wrong), my hit rate is 48% (99/205). I made 27 units.Took me about 3 hours. They were all no touch games.

If anyone has a good stat sheet template, please post it, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

After joining the private forum for less than 2 weeks, i am slowly building up the system that meet my risk tolerant level through reading those valuable post by our master Ellis and other members. In this 2 weeks, i learned more than what i have learned from the public forum for the post 10 months since i first joined BTC (although for the first few month, i was still in doubt that can i really beat casino?).

I wish that one year later, i can also start a thread like MVSeahog to say that i have win some money as compared to one year ago

Well, I'm off a month, but the song remains the same!

Normally I input a single message in August to this particular thread. It's short enough that anyone can read the entire thing in about two minutes. The facts are still there.

As another year passes, I find myself still in profit from baccarat and still learning as I read the daily posts in the private area.

I am a paid member like the rest of the private members. We made a choice and dug in against the casinos.

I do not play as much as many of our members, and my wagers are smaller than "a few" of our really strong players. However, a win is a win and baccarat continues to be my game of choice in the casino.

I'll stand by my earlier statements in this thread. This was the best investment I ever made in gambling.

And the ending refrain remains the same. . . . .

"Is your baccarat game better today than it was this time last year?"

yes it's been better,a lot of hard work, but once you change you way of thinking it becomes easy.sometimes too easy, then that's sometimes the signal for you to back off and watch everything fall apart after a nice section of wins.nice going MV again, making that 1.4 per cent club.what is it ,99.6 per cent losers at the casino.LOL

My how time passes us by when we're busy.

I've missed a "report" or two in the intervening years but the song remains the same.

Things that I've learned over the years here have all worked out to be a good deal for me and as I continue to play baccarat, I'm still learning and studying and practicing.   Yes, practice is ALWAYS required to keep you sharp and playing correctly for whichever of the plans you use.

As a long time member of this forum I still say that this was the best investment I've ever made in the gambling world.

The sign off remains the same.  Is your baccarat game better now than it was a year ago?
